My favorite place in NYC. Truly phenomenal food and service.

Despite being the only table seated outside on a cold January weekday, our servers were very very attentive and polite. Our food was also very good! Had it been a warmer day we would have been happy to stay longer and enjoy some wine

Delicious food and excellent service. Outdoor setup could be better as there was no defined structure, but they did have heaters that were surprisingly effective. Will definitely be back

I had a wonderful experience. Everyone was very friendly; starting from the hostess to our waiter. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. We ended up ordering the dessert special (donuts) and it was perfect. I can’t wait to go back!

We were able to sit indoors for a late afternoon meal. The five dips were phenomenal, and I couldn't decide which among them were my favorites. We also had the flash fried cauliflower, which was fabulous.

Waiter and manager were extremely disrespectful and had the audacity to try and cut me and my business partner off from drinks. I have been going here for the last few years as I live two blocks away and will absolutely not be returning. this was extremely rude and out of place and I would like to fully be refunded for my meal.

We went on a date and had a lot of fun! Service and food were amazing, only complaint was that the music was slightly loud.

Exquisite duck (duck itself; surroundings less so). Good branzino. Delicious platter dips. Fair service, nice interior. Standard seating was not reservable (limited to outdoor) until day of.

This is my favorite restaurant in all of NYC. However, when arriving Sunday for brunch, the menu was completely different than what is online along with the prices, which have been inflated. I am disappointed by the lack of real time updates the restaurant has taken.

Great experience and great food !

It was so beautiful and it was really intimate. My friends and I were there for my birthday dinner and it was a good time. The service was wonderful and the food was great. The bathroom was perfect for pictures lol. Overall, a 10/10! I definitely recommend!

Don’t offer heaters for seating if you can’t maintain them.

Birthday celebration

Weather was getting colder outside when we went to dinner at Barbounia - we knew they had outdoor heaters but of course they happen to be out of gas on the coldest day this season yet. They had a party indoors so no indoor seating. Then it started to rain - they had no preparation for such weather. My friend asked for steak medium-well, it arrived medium-rare. The whole entire experience was unpleasant. We spent close to $300 & they didn’t even offer free bread or drinks on the table - they charged us for extra bread while we sat freezing outside being rained on!

Loved the food!! Everything we had was divine and I will definitely be coming back. Only hiccup was the weather had turned chilly and their heaters weren’t working. Probably something they shld address soon as we head into winter cos that spoilt the exp for us a bit.

Service was horrific

I've been coming here since I first moved to NY over 12 years ago. Always the most lovely staff, tasty food and beautiful ambience. Great time always. Nice but not stuffy/pretentious.

Lately we have become Friday evening outdoor regulars. NY is NOT a ghost town! It is lively and safe and we enjoy our socially distanced Barbounia dining with drinks so much!!

Ordered a bottle of wine that restaurant charged $70 for but looked it up on an app and retail value was $14!! I understand they mark up the bottle but that’s a huge mark up if I ever heard of one.
Won’t ever order a bottle of wine from this restaurant again.

Very expensive for a casual lunch

Great food. Great variety of outdoor seating. Menu more limited because of Covid. Drinks good but steeply priced. Always consistent experience and a go to for us!
