   We come here every time we see a show we were lucky to be able to order from the main menu. Food was amazing. The service is always top shelf. We have been coming here for over 40 years.

   Pedí 2 entrantes ,nada elaborados.Ensalada de mozzarela que era el queso abierto y salmón que eran como si abres un sobre y pones las laminas de salmón.El postre bueno.55 dólares .No lo recomiendo El maitre desagradable

   Delightful attentive service on the lovely patio. Followed recommendations on what to order (burrata, sea bass, steak and lemon tarte). Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. They even brought me an extra chocolate mousse to try as I noticed it on a nearby table. Memorable experience, I recommend any time you are in the theater district!

   Perfect spring day - lunch in the garden. Delicious prix fixe meal - classic Italian food service and ambience- never disappoints. Family owned since 1906

   Ambiance was perfect: an excellent pianist in an medium quiet room. Great for conversations . Both our meals were excellent. My crab on a bed of wild rice was cooked to perfection, and the wild rice was the best I have ever eaten. My wife’s swordfish was perfectly cooked and tender…,not the dry swordfish you get in most restaurants. The desserts were superb yet not overly sweet, the way we like them. Their Piedmont wines are exceptional. A perfect dining experience.

   One of my favorite places to eat in the Theatre District! It has a feeling of old world elegance with its ornate decor, impeccable service, and beautifully prepared food. I also very much appreciate that it is one of the very few restaurants that is quiet enough to softly talk to my companion!

   Extremely slow service. We had 5:30 reservations and had to get up early to leave and ask for the check for our show starting at 7pm next door. There was half an hour between finishing the first course and being served the second course. You need 2.5 hours to eat here.

   Went for a prix fixe lunch before a play and it was wonderful. Beautiful space with a wonderful, attentive staff. The luncheon choices were varied and delicious. This place has been in business since 1906 and I can see why. We will be back!

    Waiter/sommelier (didn’t identify his position) pressured me into a bait and switch offering what he claimed was a “great wine” for a reserve from the same producer on the wine list for the same price. What was actually served was an inferior wine (also different year) at a reserve bottle price. When I complained after the pour he defended it because he flashed me the label before opening and I only had time to confirm the producer and point out the year discrepancy (comparably good year). My pasta was overcooked and falling apart off my fork - inedible. I was afraid to complain because our other waiter was also gruff and was obviously in no mood to be helpful. I’ve been dinning at Barbetta for at least 50 years. This was my first bad experience at this venerable elegantly appointed restaurant. Sadly, the staff is now dominated by grouchy old men and a careless cooks. Time for closure or a reboot.
