This is a favorite neighborhood venue. The foot is predictable and consistently excellent. The service is warm and attentive. Highly recommended.
Cozy atmosphere and great service. Delicious antipasti and good Italian traditional primo and secondo piatos. Wine list mainly with delicious Italian wines especially the Barbaresco wines.
Very nice. No Oprah sittings though!
This restaurant is a go to when meeting friends. It has a lovely atmosphere and the staff is warm and welcoming. The food is consistently well prepared and delicious. This is a beautiful neighborhood restaurant.
Barbaresco never disappoints. Great friendly efficient staff. Good drinks delicious food.
good italian restaurant near bloomingdales. food and desserts are standard and safe. I made a reservation and said it was my wife's birthday. they did nothing to acknowledge this. noisy and cramped.
Perfect early dinner spot for 3! Excellent pasta and veal dishes. I would definitely come back again.
We chose this restaurant due to location which was perfect for our needs. We felt the food was average and pricey. Atmosphere was cozy and service was good.
Excellent fresh food and very comfortable and cozy atmosphere.
Nice place to have dinner. Cozy and intimate. Food is good as is the service. Completely enjoyable on every account.
ask for Carlo..He is old style and will make your lunch/dinner enjoyable. .never been disappointed.. Buon Appetite
Quiet meal. Responsive service. Food was excellent. Branzino
We chose Barbaresco for its varied menu, because we had a picky eater with us. Indeed, it was one of those places where you have a hard time choosing, because there are so many delicious-sounding choices. The grilled squid was the most tender I have ever had, with a delicious sauce. My date loved his veal chop, although as one of the specials it proved to be costlier than he had anticipated (restaurants, please tell your servers to give prices with the specials!) And our picky eater was delighted with her ravioli. Service was very professional and unobtrusive. It seems to attract an older neighborhood crowd but was very comfortable and welcoming for us first timers too. Highly recommended.
We discovered this friendly, cozy restaurant last year on our annual December trip to New York. It has a neighborhood feel which we liked. We vowed we would return, and were not disappointed. The seafood special was excellent, the pasta fresh, and the chocolate cake to die for. The service was welcoming and attentive. We’ll be back again!
This was our second time here and we were not disappointed. Great food and service and a wonderful wine selection. We will be back!
food is always excellent; service polite and a very good selection.
Barbaresco never disappoints. They always have great soups. The duck was wonderful and the branzino delicious. The waiters and bartender are great.
Super as always! Food , drink & service. The veal parm filled 3/4 of the plate & was tender & the sauce delicious!
Went back for business lunch today with 4 friends. Equally delicious 😋
It’s a very neighborhood restaurant, family ,cozy and good food. The specials are always very good. Whole dorada is excellent and the ravioli. We go there often and we are always satisfied. Good wine list.
Always good atmosphere and food in this cozy reliable restaurant.
We loved the branzino. The food and service are always excellent .
Great as always. Food is excellent. Tasty and well presented, combine that with friendly fabulous service and you have a great night. It is consistently excellent.
My favorite dining spot! Very welcoming & friendly! All of the staff are polite, attentive & experienced! My meals are always perfectly cooked & flavorful! An east side restaurant very worth the price!!
Barbaresco never fails to please. The food is always good and the staff very friendly and welcoming.
Dinner for two on a Saturday evening. The food was moderate at best -- my daughter left most of her swordfish because it was not cooked through and she did not feel inclined to wait for it to be cooked more. The waiter seemed to be in a hurry. He did not know what a kir (white wine and casssis) is and brought me a glass full of just cassis. Amateur hour.
Very warm and cozy in Barbaresco and servers take good care of you.
Swordfish and pasta were good, and would order again, but not so outstanding where i would increase their rating. Food was good, consistent and we enjoyed it.
I do like Barbaresco !
Busy but rather quiet. Elegant, understated ambiance with comfortable seating and sufficient space between tables. The food was well prepared and service was very prompt, friendly and efficient.
Love this place!!
Very noise and the service whas'nt good. The food is very good and the pasta at right point.
We enter at the saloon and the manager look our page on the celular (open table) and said as he didn't know what it's, and after these I give my name and then he finded.
This was so noisy.i could not hear the person I came with...I asked for a wine menu...didn't have one. The wine I got was good, but expensive. I never had Italian tomato sauce on salmon...it did not belong there/I was hurried to finish...iut was not a relaxing dinner I had looked forward to.
We came here to meet relatives for an early dinner and I was impressed with the attention given by all the servers. We ordered Mozarella di bufala caprese, Pappardelle con pollo, Calamaretti, & Penne Incazzate. Everything was so delicious!!! Desserts were not included in the Menu but they do serve them. We had Tiramisu and Orange sorbet.
Pricey but worth it!
Once inside, you feel at home with friendly waiters, good food, and a pleasant ambiance.
They make you feel at home like you belong there.
Everything was good. Problem is they open the expansive front window and door. Restaurant becomes hot. The real issue is the cigarette smoke and car fumes that fill the restaurant. Dining becomes unbearable. Restaurants are supposed to be smoke free by law. This isn't. Cannot eat here.
I love the Bronzino that is the best anywhere. Baked in salt so it is juicy and delicious.
They consistently make the best branzino. It is baked in salt and is very moist. None better.
The seafood pasta special with black pasta was excellent.. The wine was on the high side as far as price but the service and ambiance were good.
Always enjoy Barbaresco and go there a lot. Neighborhood favorite, now that Da Fillipo is gone. ( It turned into an air exchange for the 2nd Ave Subway. Still miss it.) The carpaccio is great-Swordfish and bronzino also good.Ravioli usually good, except for when they put gross things in it like sweet potatoes.
Good food in a lively , pleasant environment, Attentive service, all at very fair prices.
Good food and attentive waitstaff make this a perfect pre theatre find when going to 59e59.
Bsrbaresco is a great little neighborhood Italian , service is always good and so is food more a during week option than weekend destination
