Hadn't been for a while. Sat outside and it was lovely! Beautiful lights strung through the trees. A great atmosphere to go along with the wonderful food. Two thumbs way up for the pork chop!

My second time to Barbareño. Man, the food is fabulous. Make sure you order the charred avocado. Service was lovely and not pretentious. Nice outdoor seating options for the covid conscious. Really love this restaurant.

Barbareno is a must stop when you're in Santa Barbara. Outstanding, creative menu, wonderful tag-team service by the servers, and gracious hospitality throughout, whether you're sitting inside or on the expanded patio. Start with the Eggamuffin, their riff on the Egg McMuffin (which I found out was invented at a McDonald's in Santa Barbara) and share a couple of appetizers and entrees. Can recommend the ravioli, panzanella salad, and plate of pork entree. A really great experience.

The restaurant is written up in almost every list of top restaurants in SB, so we wanted to try it. It was good. The service was excellent. Our meals were good, not outstanding for the price. It’s a really nice place with great service.

Perfect experience. Delectable fine dining at its best. All dishes are so thought out and locally sourced. Excellent service. Desserts were over the top amazing also. We can hardly wait to return.

Go to "special occasion" dinner spot for my fiance and me. Always a treat, both the food and the service. The panzanella is arguably the best salad in Santa Barbara. The house sourdough should be served by the loaf, we can never get enough <3

Fantastic journey through central coast cuisine. The grilled avocado with garlic ponzu was delicious. The warm sourdough bread and home spun butter was fantastic. Skipping through the entrees which were equally great, the 24 blackbirds chocolate dessert was some of the best chocolate we’ve had with many textures.

We had reservation on a Friday night for 7:30. We were driving up from Orange county and the traffic was terrible. I called the restaurant to let them know the situation, they said they couldn't offer a later time since there were other reservations after us, and would only allow a 15 minute grace period.....we were 16 mins late, they did accommodate us, food and service was good, but I do have to say the restaurant was no where near packed, so they could have alleviated a lot of anxiety by just being truthful and not holding our feet to the fire to battle traffic to make the reservation......also they don't have a liquor license, and prefer you order all your food start to finish at once.....

FISHY- my purse was stolen during my meal by the couple dining
Next to us. After much commotion and getting my purse back. The restaurant told us to settle down
And continued to serve us our dinner as if nothing happened. The police were called and the restaurant has yet to hand over surveillance camera footage or the name of the couple who dined next to us to the police. Hello, HELLO! A crime was committed And her husband attacked my husband! No apologizes by anyone - the management handled the Situation so poorly. Who steals a purse - and the management protects the couple who committed the crime and doesn’t follow up to apologize to the patrons! Or assist the police. Something smells Fishy here.

For the first time in going to this restaurant we were disappointed in one of the entrees that was selected:the Taglietelli. In was too salty to the point that two of our party did not enjoy it. The beef wague with Southwestern sauce was superb as was the lamb and avocado appetizers

Loved food, excellent flavors and great service. Because of COVID we were sitting outside, ambiance outside not great! Traffic noise, busy street. I would definitely recommend for food, flavors were unique and delicious. I had the cod, my husband had Santa Maria BBQ with waygu beef. Appetizers were also wonderful and varied.

Very nice surprise. Excellent starter, entre and desert. Service was excellent--very attentive, made good recommendations. The outdoor seating area was very nice and comfortable. Would definitely return on another visit.

Wow! I love this place. Even though we sat outside, their tent situation still had a nice ambiance with lots of plants and good soft lighting. The food here was soooo delicious. Our server was outstanding and very friendly. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants I’ve been to in Santa Barbra. Can’t wait to come back.

Everything was delightful for our dinner at Barbareno! The outdoor patio is very pretty and well shielded from the road. Service was efficient and friendly and the waiter was great about describing the entrees and the ingredients. Most importantly, the food was fantastic! We started with the grilled avocado which was a perfectly ripe avocado with some delicious, savory sauce. It was unlike anything I’d had before but absolutely delicious. We also had the Santa Maria BBQ and the fried chicken, both cooked to perfection and each with a unique and complex flavor profile. We will definitely try to visit again when we’re in Santa Barbara!
