Very nice Sunday brunch. DJ was impeccable. Crowd was beautiful. Food was tasty. Service, A+. Will return!
The burger is INCREDIBLE.
Food was pricey but fantastic, service was a little slow however. Still a great spot, wonderful location and would highly recommend.
Barawine is one of my fav NYC restaurants. Their Valentine's pre fixe didn't disappoint. Everything was perfectly cooked, tasty, and the staff was eager and friendly. I recommend 100%
Great atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. Food was delicious and nice wine selection.
Great menu, great food and good vibes 💞
This was my second visit, and for some reason this time the service was quite slow, and some the dishes did not live up to memory. I really like the place and the atmosphere, so maybe they were just a bit off. Good wine by the glass, which isn't always true, superb fries, and staff is very friendly. Will go again in the hopes that they were just off their game for some reason.
Lovely meal before the theater.
Dry chicken, steak was good, slow service, terrible bread for the table.
Excellent French cuisine, expertly cooked, without the uptight pretentiousness of some of the more upscale restaurants. If you enjoy great food and a casual and fun vibe (but still classy!) I highly recommend
It’s was good
I absolutely love this restaurant. The atmosphere, the music and the whole experience is amazing! Makes
You feel super classy and definitely a great time! Love this place! Never a dull moment! :)
Went to brunch here for the first time after several nice dinners. Both my Benedict and my friend's were cold and so were the potatoes. The salad was warm. Our server did not once ask how things were. Also we were there for a birthday which I submitted on open table and there was not mention from the restaurant. And for the record, the restaurant was not very busy, there were several open tables
Great food and great atmossphere. I definitely recommend it
Great service ! Great food !! Highly recommended
I was so excited to check out Barawine finally. I moved uptown this year and heard amazing things about this spot. The food though, was not worth the price I paid at all. The restaurant is cozy and pretty, but the quality of food did not match one bit. The brunch sandwich, was so bland. Even a little salt and pepper at least would have saved it; the chicken was flavorless. They try to make up for it with an aioli, but it cannot save the sandwich. We then ordered french toast for the table, and it was another disappointment. No hints of vanilla or cinnamon and rather eggy. I was so surprised. The plating and items themselves look beautiful, but definitely diner level quality. I’m told they must have changed owners because the food used to be less expensive but quite exquisite, according to friends. The server was also very absent. I saw more of the support staff, who was rather courteous and sweet, than our server. And when she was at the table it appeared as if she was rather dissatisfied with having to be there. I work in hospitality and I get we all have bad days, but you leave that at the door— don’t bring it to the table. Overall: not worth the trip or price.
Wine list is always good and so is the music. The food, however, has deteriorated. The menu itself would be great but I wish it would taste better.
Can’t wait to go back!
Great seasonal. Wonderful bar. Would love to have had a steak frite
I enjoyed our brunch. The service was very good and I enjoyed the food. It was a bit loud and the tables were very close together but overall it was an nice meal.
Our favorite neighborhood spot. Good ambiance, service (nice and personal) and first rate authentic French bistro+ fare. Reliable too. The branzino is a favorite entree and escargots a favorite starter. The wines by the glass are well chosen and generously poured. We rented it out for a party and it was terrific for that, too.
A gem in Hatlem. This is always a great choice.
SERVICE, FOOD, AMBIANCE WERE ALL EXCEPTIONAL.
MY OUT OF TOWN DINING BUDDY CLEANED HIS PLATE AND VOWED TO RETURN WHEN HE COMES BACK TO NY.
I love this place. Great ambience and delicious, well prepared food. Will be back again!
The food is consistently good and well prepared. The venue is very attractive, and it's not noisy. so a great place to go if you want to have a good conversation, in an aesthetically pleasing environment and in a part of town that has really become a fun place to meet up. Service is high quality, staff is friendly and the wine list is excellent.
I was excited to try Barawine, after walking past a few times and thinking it looked like a great spot. The restaurant itself was cute, but it was VERY loud during dinner, and the tables were so close together we had to move our table and the neighboring one to get in and out. I ordered an Old Fashioned and when they handed it to me I thought they got the drink wrong, it looked like cola in a glass filled with ice chips. The rest of the drinks were very tropical themed, which seemed odd at a French restaurant. The bread was delivered by a separate waiter who carried around a tray of it wrapped up. I assumed it would be warm and homemade based on the presentation but it was cold and tasted like supermarket bread. We ordered the roasted chicken and the steak. Both were overcooked, tough, and drowning in sauce. The potatoes (roasted with the steak, mashed with the chicken) were both pretty good, but nothing special. Overall, not a great meal. This place will probably last awhile since it's not surrounded by other French places, but unless it's incredibly convenient I would find somewhere else.
Just average food. Nice staff. Lovely space
Spent too much on a simple brunch with a server who was unfriendly and hard to work with. My wife ordered two scrambled eggs and was charged the same $15 as the more elaborate scrambled egg dish. The server made us uncomfortable with a very dry personality and did not give us the sense of welcoming.
Really enjoyed it so I’m scheduling a return trip tomorrow!
Everything was outstanding including the fact that we were seated early! But the noise level was such that it was truly difficult to hear our friends at our table.
Great find in Harlem, French winner bar and restaurant located in a gentrifying neighborhood. The food was very good, the ambience appealing and the wine selection Great. Recommend!
I ordered a Bellini that I had to remind the waitress to bring with my order.
Barawine is located at a perfect spot on Lenox avenue, easy to reach.
Service is excellent, food is well prepared, ambiance is ok, especially the wine bar area is lively and cosy.
really a place to visit once in Harlem.
The restaurant cancelled my reservation a couple of hours before the dinner time without explanation or offer of another time that evening. It was an important dinner, and it made it very difficult to find something else on such short notice. Never happened to me before.
Our server was very personable and friendly and the food was very good. Wine and dessert included. The NY Strip is huge!

Hi,
We really enjoyed our first visit to Barawine, the food was great, the servers were friendly and the ambience was unique. However, after our dinner we wanted to try some desert and the waiter brought us the desert menu and did not return to get our order. After waiting for 15 mins, we decided to leave without trying it. This was disappointing as we really wanted to try the desert options.
Thank you
It used to be better I think. Pricey for how good the food was.
Great as always!
Birthday dinner! It’s our favorite restaurant! Food is excellent, love the new addition of escargot and mushroom ravioli appetizers!
Service is great, so friendly. Great atmosphere, music was playing, everyone in the restaurant was having fun!
Just love Barawine!!
