Bar Toscana has tables for dinner in an upscale but more casual atmosphere than the Toscana restaurant next to it. The food is excellent, as one can order from the same menu as in the main restaurant. It is a bit quieter than the main restaurant, which is great for conversation. Service was very friendly and attentive. The only surprise was that I thought I was making a reservation at the main restaurant through Open Table, as I did not realize that there was dinner available at the adjacent Bar Toscana.
Truffle pizza was amazing!
I was hoping to eat at the main restaurant however I’ve had a pleasant experience bar Toscana in the past and anticipated the same this evening. Unfortunately it was an extremely unpleasant dinner. The food was fair and the service was nonexistent. In fact, our waiter was hostile and never saw him from the moment he took the order until I flagged him down to clear our dirty plates and get my check. Suffice to say I would never go to either one of the restaurants absolutely out rages. I would suggest management wake up and hire some people who give a darn about providing proper service.
Tough to imagine it being better!
We heard so many great things about Bar Toscana and had to try since we just moved to Brentwood from Manhattan. While the service was incredible-- our waitress was so kind and attentive-- the food was not very good. i just kept waiting to think something was really amazing and it wasn't. I think Pizzana down the street is ten times better and far more inexpensive.
Everything was great. Bolognese and Trio Bruschetta are some of my favorites. Can get pricey if you let it. Love this place
Super option for a quick neighborhood bite! Great Food & Service!
Great place nice ambiance good food and excellent cocktails
We made a last minute reservation and honestly “settled” for Toscana due to the noise. I was delighted to find we were in the quieter “bar” toscana. My husband and son were happily surprised by the tv with the game on and the food was toscana- fine and had an extra bar menu to boot. It was wonderful and the staff was attentive and warm.
Great neighborhood bar, if your neighborhood is Brentwood! Not at all inexpensive, but high quality food and drinks that are fairly priced for what you get. Real cocktails (no mixes), nice wines by the glass, excellent food and first-rate, unpretentious and very friendly staff.
The artichoke salad is excellent. I was very disappointed with the calamari pasta dish I ordered. It sounded as though it would be tasty however it was beyond bland. It was as though the calamari were steamed and added to plain pasta with a couple leaves of sage. I ordered chili flakes and olive oil in an attempt to have some sort of flavor but even that didn't help.
My friend's eggplant parmigiana was just ok.
The noise was deafening . We all felt exhausted from attempting to have any sort of conversation.
The wait staff and hostess are impeccable. No complaints there. I have had very good meals in
both Toscana and Toscana Bar and hope this was an off night. Still won't go during peak hours if I want to speak with my table partners.
We booked the restaurant but was seated for the bar. Totally different experience. Bar was noisey and hectic we wanted a nice high end, quiet birthday dinner. Service was 5/5 at the bar, so that worked for us.
I always love the food at Bar Toscana. Much more my style of dining and casual when you want great food. A favorite location to meet friends. Good service and reasonable prices for the quality of the food.
This is by far my favorite cocktail spot they make amazing drinks the food is spot on incredible experience highly recommend Toscana
Bar Toscana has a great variety of menu items in which you can order from both Bar Toscana, and Toscana which is across the hall from each other. The service is top notch, and the food and beverages are amazing! A great neighborhood place in Brentwood with a well planned out menu!
Fantastic and artist place both with good and setting.
I like the new decor! Great service with good food/drinks. Thank you.
First time. Hadn't been to Toscana in long time. Great place for casual sitting without the "frills" but yet really good food and wine.
Food is great. The service was delightful. Love the video artwork most of all!!!
I love this neighborhood gem! My favorites are the bruschetta trio and spicy pepperoni pizza, but everything is delicious!
Loud but we were able to hear one another
The bar tender was Awesome
They have a very talented staff that goes out of their way to make you feel welcome...their food is fantastic, and their cocktails are some of the best in town...what more could you ask for?
First time at bar toscana. We went on Mother's Day and everything was perfect. We had a few of the cocktails on the menu and the seasonal ones. They were all very good and well thought out. Being vegetarian their was plenty of choices. We had the gnocchi which was done perfectly in a pesto sauce. We also had the pappadelle which was done with mushrooms and shaved truffles, my favorite dish. The service was perfect from the bartenders, the waiters, the busboys and the hostess. I can't say enough. We will definitely return!
Very nice server, let us try wine before ordering and the actual pour is very generous. The portions super small but food is excellent especially pasta which is homemade
Toscana Bar is a great take on Italian cuisine. I love eating gnocchi but I hate stuffy/fancy places. Toscana Bar is modern and interesting.
Gastro Italian wine bar that has an ace mixologist. Food is excellent for a "bar" , I recommend pairing food with cocktails instead of wine. Too noisy to have a fluent conversation, they should buffer the sound. You can have dinner here.
The noise is very loud in the place you can't even hear you friends when they are talking. Tables are very close to each other makes you uncomfortable to even have a conversation. However, Food and drinks are good there.
The room was noisy with the rhythmic theme repeated ad nauseum.
They were very busy - Although I'd made a res for 8, they didn't have a table available until after 8:30. Thankfully time wasn't an issue. Bar tenders were quite attentive and very skilled - every drink was delicious! Sazerac was the perfect aperitif and rye old fashioneds for post dinner chilling. Mid-range for process, a little on the high end but with it for the quality IMO. It gets very loud and "energetic" as Open Table calls it, so be prepared for that. Makes for a festive atmosphere. All in all, a fun spot. I'll gladly go back.
Bar Toscana is a casual italian bar with great food and great drinks.
A little gem in Brentwood. Much friendlier than regular Tuscana.
Good for Happy Hour or a small dinner.
Charming waitress..good service and marvelous pasta!
Excellent all around, the Seabass was ok, slightly on the dry side, love the Rosemary flatbread at the beginning
Excellent as usual!!! Never fails in quality and taste.
I love this restaurant every time I dine there. Just wish it was a bit quieter
I've been coming here since the week after they opened, and ALWAYS have a delicious experience! The menu is imaginative AND traditional. The cocktails are innovative, complex and gilded with seasonal flair. ALWAYS a good time.
Our annual Virgo Ladies Birthday Party was perfection!!
Love this place
Toscana is great, and the bar at Toscana is even better. It is a modern, trendy version of Toscana making it perfect for people in their 20s and 30s looking for great Italian food.
love the salad with burratta cheese and peas. unusual and very good but a little pricey for a salad. Salami pizza yummy
Delicious seasonal food that consistently delivers
