Bar Toscana
A number of Bar Toscana favorites are available TO GO, as is everything on the menu for our sister restaurant, Toscana.
Located in the heart of Brentwood, Bar Toscana is an intimate cocktail bar situated next door to storied TOSCANA, a longtime home for Hollywood’s elite and our favorite locals.
Bar Toscana’s simple yet elegant menu is composed of small plates, or stuzzichini, an array of hand-crafted cocktails, and an Italian-focused wine list.
At once relaxed and stylish, this neighborhood lounge is ideally fashioned for unique cocktails and sparkling conversation.
We look forward to opening again once COVID restrictions are lifted.

Always good
Bar Toscana is part of the Toscana restaurant in that they share the same space and kitchen. The Toscana kitchen, however, is being renovated for several months so the menu is extremely limited. They should really let people know that you cannot get dinner at Bar Toscana until the kitchen renovation is complete. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere.
Hi Roxanne. Yes, Toscana Restaurant is still closed for construction but you can, in fact, get dinner at Bar Toscana. There is a full menu that includes salads, sandwiches, lasagna, sliders etc and there is always a nightly dinner special as well. We hope to see you back again!
The food was delicious and the staff was amazing. Can’t wait to go back
Sitting arrangement was problematic. Food was mediocre
Just a heads up - we had no idea that the restaurant part is closed next door for remodeling- they share a kitchen so the menu is very lunch like with Sahara and sandwiches - not many protein options.
Hi Lisa! Yes, next door Toscana Restaurant is closed for a kitchen renovation through late February. We have added additional items to the Bar Toscana menu so hope you will be back, if nothing else than for a fabulous cocktail!
Thank you very much
Amazing Italian bistro in a hip space with great service and a menu for all tastes.
We were pleasantly surprised by the food here (and the wine and cocktails too, for that matter). They have a good reputation already, but the "lasagnetta", the branzino and the panna cotta were all the best I've ever eaten in those categories. We will be back! The restaurant was closed for renovations, so this was the bar itself. Not sure if the kitchen is the same, but I assume it is?
The place is small, and they project TV onto the back wall. Not my preference, but it's a bar after all.
Thank you! You are correct your food was from the Bar Toscana kitchen & we're happy to hear you enjoyed it. Toscana Restaurant will be back open late February. We hope to see you again soon!
Disappointing stale cannolo for dessert
Service is excellent. Was there on a busy night and both the host and server made my party feel important as we waited and welcomed as we were seated.
The food is always amazing! But it is very very noisy!
Always great and my go to when I want a delicious meal.
From the unique AND classic cocktails to the exquisite food, this small, narrow venue is perfect for dinner or just drinks.
Beautiful setting! However the waitress and the store manager more interested in talking to their friends than attending the people dining. Mind you this was later on at night. Ordered their black truffle pizza, ended up being cold. Good place to grab wine/beer with a friend.
Service food and ambiance were excellent
Everyone was attentive and friendly.
Fantastic cocktails and food! Favorite place in LA.
I love the familiarity of the place. So much lighter than Toscana and a nice change from a busy dining room
The service was amazing and the food was perfectly delicious, albeit on the pricey side. There is a lot of energy in this bar and the music was on the loud side for us. But the manager overheard us talking about it and immediately offered to turn it down. That was an unexpected surprise and will keep us coming back for dinners there.
Always delicious food. Really the best tomato sauce in LA
Go to for casual food in a people watching atmosphere.
Ben is the best
you used to be able to order off of the toscana menu but for some reason they put a stop to that. Bar toscana menu is rather limited now. The food was good, the service was very good. Not sure I’ll return though.
Hello! We actually do have a great section on the Bar menu called "Toscana Classics" where you can get all of the Toscana Restaurant favorites. We hope to see you back at Bar Toscana!
I come here all the time. The food is fantastic and the staff is always really helpful!
They have a bar menu or you can order food from their main restaurant next door, Toscana, which we did. We had a very good carciofi (artichoke) salad, a limp, tasteless margherita pizza, and an ok but nothing special steak Fiorentina, which is disappointing considering its $86 price tag. Service was adequate. Drinks are expensive (minimum $20 for a decent glass of Italian red). My main problem is the noise level, which was like standing next to a jet plane. We ended screaming at each other to be heard and my head was ringing by the time I left.
The bar part of the restaurant is much more intimate and quiet than the restaurant proper. The food is always very good, and the they have an excellent wine list.
I love Bar Toscana. I go there quite often. However, on Sunday night, we waited almost 1 1/2 hours to get our food. The server kept apologizing, but it was really frustrating. My family said they never want to go back. I'm sad about it because I usually chose the bar side over the restaurant side.
The food and service are good. But the space is very loud which made it hard to converse.
Food is consistently delicious. Well-prepared and served quickly. Drinks are also very good
Great food/service as always. Music was so loud that we couldn’t hear each other.
Delicious food, nice service. Great neighborhood restaurant.
Had to wait 30 minutes for my reserved table
Love bar toscana but they changed their menu recently and got rid of some of my favorites. Hoping they will bring back the Caesar salad.
Made us wait 45 min for our reserved table. Service was bad. Food was cold. They didn’t even have some things on their menu. Expected to be discounted for all of this, but they simply ignored every issue
Nice date spot with great wine. A little loud for sure but a nice, trendy vibe
Valentine’s Day. As it might be expected on Valentine’s Day, it was quite busy so I cannot completely fault the service itself. Food is good, but slight overpriced. Cocktails are VERY good.
the waitress forgot to bring one of our appetizers, and when we reminded her she told us it would be just a couple minutes (it was a cold appetizer). 20 minutes later we received it. there was a small apology, and from then on there was little to no service. we had to call waiters over to get drinks.
we frequent this establishment often and it’s service or ability to get an order correct seems to always fall short.
the older, established partner to this restaurant, just next door seems to have its service under much better efficiency.
i have been a customer since it’s opening 30 years ago.
This is the "downscale" version of the legendary Toscana, across the walkway from Bar Toscana. That doesn't mean less - just a little less Hollywood and insider feeling. Ir's a really fine neighborhood restaurant, casually elegant, with wonderful food and excellent service. Valet parking available, and needed, because this is a busy part of Brentwood.
Great service and wine selection by the glass.
Went with a friend and after we paid one of the waiters was super rude to us and told us that they needed the table for another reservation...
