   The only issue we had was the wait time. Our reservation was at 7:45pm, we showed up 7:42pm and we got our table almost at 8:00pm. Other than that the service was great, the food delicious.

   Bar Primi was very accommodating with our changing reservations, the service was phenomenal with several staff taking care of us, the food was outstanding . Our table of 7 , along with our Bernese mountain dog thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Thank you !

    We are a couple in their late 30s on a weekend getaway from Boston. We are no strangers to Italian food and the fine dining experience. The positives about Bar Primi: good vibes and energy when you walk in, lighting was not too bright not too dark, service with Rebecca was wonderful. We were unsure of which wine to choose and she made great recommendations based off of hearing our taste preferences. Everyone from the hostess to the waiter who filled our water was so warm and friendly!! The challenges: we found the food to be one note. For a place at this price point, we expected a bit more. We ordered the beets, stuffed meatballs, and rice balls for starters and then the agnolotti and vodka sauce and squid ink campanelle with crab for our entrees. Best dish out of all of those was the stuffed meatballs, soft food amount of sauce and tasty. The rice balls were “ok” and the beets were not elevated. The beets just tasted like beets with garnish on top. Wish we had more fat or acid to give it some depth. Our pastas were too Al dente for our liking. I wanted more soft texture in my agnolotti. Vodka sauce was good but not enough on the plate. The squid ink pasta tasted very crab forward and needed so much more sauce to make the flavors marry. Drinks were ok. Expensive for what you are given. We spent about $200 that night on five plates, 2 glasses of wine, and one cocktail. That may be normal for New York standards but we felt it was not worth the cost. Appreciated the service and energy so much but was not impressed by the food with the first impression.

    We went here for restaurant week it still ended up being 100$+ per person and we all split a bottle of wine. The food was good, nothing super special I don't think I would do the restaurant week deal again. Our waitress's was very nice, I got the pesto pasta which was good but no meat or anything in it and it was 28$.. soo?? Don't think that's worth the price

    Staff is very friendly and so welcoming! Cute ambiance and the drinks were great.. I ordered the squid ink pasta which is also good but it was missing a bit more sauce.. and we got the branzino and the piccata as well. And it was good! Thank you for a fun night!

    Good food, well prepared. Our two-top was a little tight with our neighboring table. Bar Primi was guilty of a pet-peeve I have with too many restaurants. Overly-iced, watery cocktails without enough alcohol to justify the exorbitant prices. And I asked for light ice, and my tall glass was filled with ice top to bottom. I’d go back for the food, but I’d stick to wine.

    Always a great time at Bar Primi and this was no different. Food, ambience and service never disappoint and a special nod to their seasonal pumpkin raviloi right now - highly recommend. Our waiter was also amazing, I am pretty positive he has been my waiter before and he is always so pleasant and makes good recommendations.

    Even with a reservation, you’ll have to wait 15-20 minutes to be seated. The appetizers are decent (brussels sprouts are great), but the pasta is below average and extremely overpriced.

    The staff were so kind. my friends showed up 30-40 mins late and since it wasn't busy they didn't mind at all. The food was excellent but the staff really make this place nice. I also saw the star from Prometheus walk by. I forget her name, but it's that's sort of neighborhood

    The food was top notch. The outdoor patio was very comfortable and warm. The staff (albeit slammed) were on it. However, my biggest shoutout goes to the Guest Relations team. We were initially 5 people, then our friend surprised us by flying in last minute from Toronto. The staff at Bar Primi said they were full but they'd keep us posted if anything opened up. Considering this was a 7pm reservation on a Saturday in Manhattan we assumed we were out of luck. An hour later they let us know they've made space of us on the patio and we're looking forward to seeing us. I worked in the industry for 12+ years and know you can't always accommodate, and sometimes it really takes some finagling to make it work. They did it. They were great. They set our night off on the right track. Bar Primi, you're great at what you do. 100% will be back.

    I used to adore Bar Primi, and visited every time I was in the city. The food has gone seriously down hill (saltiest food I’ve ever eaten), the service was deplorable, and the front desk staff? Just plain old rude. Will never return.
