Need to book at 8:45 PM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Was made to wait over 45 min with a reservation.
We love bar primi. Always perfect.
I enjoyed the Veal very much. Only issue was that tables at this restaurant are pretty small. Would have preferred a bigger table instead of a round small table. I am 6'1 so I assumed the hostess would have realized that I needed a bigger table.
Really enjoyed the food and service was great.
One of my favorite restaurants in the Bowery. The pasta is outstanding !
Server was extremely kind and helpful. Food exceeded our expectations. Great wine list.
For an amazing dining experience , I highly recommend Bar Primi. Downtown vibe with delicious and creative food .
Will definitely return!
Got together here for restaurant week. Hostesses were friendly and immediately welcoming; bartender charming and had bar drinks list straight away! Sat next to a regular who was pleasant and talked about her favorite dish.
Once we three had all arrived, we were seated at a wonderful “u” shaped booth. Those seating arrangements are great for two or three tops btw: easy to look at your friends without having to raise your voice or feel like you are cowering over the table.
Our server was genuine and never hovering; always present. Took used plates and glasses promptly.
Now the food: we did restaurant menu this time: I loved the Cauliflower appetizer! Delicious flavor and generous portion. We also had the Burrata. A big serving with nice soft bread. Main course was the chicken mushroom masala with spinach. It was boneless and I cleaned my plate. Friend 1 had the spaghetti (a go-to, but nice!) and friend 2 had the white veal bolognese (like the lady at the bar; it had a solid reputation here and really good).
Dessert: I loved the panna cotta and we also had the gelato (almond). Great value for RW. First time going and I like the vibe. The seating is well laid out. The staff has plaid. So don’t wear it the night you go (joking!). First floor equally as vibrant and festive as second floor.
Extremely mediocre food; tasteless chicken marsala and cacio e pepe pasta was not homemade, as our waiter told us it was
Mediocre pasta, but definitely tasty. A bit overpriced for what you get. But the ambiance and drinks are great. Since it's pretty easy to get a reservation and it's a cool place, I'd come back with a large group for a last minute dinner. But don't expect to be blown away by the pasta.
The reviews we read ahead of time were great. There were very accurate. We absolutely loved Bar Primi. The atmosphere was great. The service was excellent. The food was tremendous. it was a great dining experience. We had a great time and have already recommended it to friends. And we will return to Bar Primi when we come back to NYC.
Restaurant week so it was busy. It was a bit noisy upstairs. Downstars is quieter. I had chicken al limone, it was nice. Service was attentive
The apple in my kale salad still had the grocery sticker attached to it. That was quite off putting haha.
Cute little sign for birthday on table. Great service!
The food was good and the server was trying her best. I just feel like the place was understaffed. Overall a fun place. Wouldn't be opposed to going back again.
This was my personal 1st visit to preemie but I went with friends who had been there before. I continued the food was outstanding as was the wait staff. My friend had the carbonara which was super. I had the cace e pepe, that despite not being on dinner menu the chef gladly made for me. He reminded me of my time in Rome. I wished the portions were little bit bigger for the price however I do not mind spending money as long as the food is worth it and it is indeed worth it.
We had early pre theater reservations and restaurant was not busy at that time, but soon crowded up! Staff was very attentive and food was yummy. We we each had an appetizer and then shared a Pasta entree. Delightful
I would recommend this restaurant! We were in and out in plenty of time to get to the theater
took my parents to meet my in-laws after my husband and i eloped.... absolutely the right place for it
Excellent food and service. Fifferent menus at different times of the day- all great! Very hip surroundings.
It was wonderful!
Had a reservation for an anniversary (it was the location of our first date and we’re now engaged) we were not seated until 45 min after our reservation time
Awesome food. Bartender was a little sassy, but its all good. Maybe he was just having a bad night. Food was fantastic, drinks were great. HIGHLY recommend Bar Primi
Food was absolutely amazing. Pasta dishes were fresh and homemade. Service was quick and staff was friendly. Ambiance was beautiful and I loved how the space wasn’t crammed as many restaurants in the city are.
Celebrated getting my doctorate. The staff wasn’t aware of that but we were and had a great time.
They ran out of veal, which was what both my friend and I had wanted!
Service seems to be always bad here. If you order drinks be prepared to wait a long time. Food is good.
Comida deliciosa, la pasta es una de las mejores
The food was so outstanding that I had two entrees!
Excellent food and service.
We had three vegetarian pastas and a salad and crostini and they were all outstanding!
Seats are way too close to each other. All you can hear is the people next to you talking way too loud. Pasta was aVerage and small portions for 30$ a plate. Look somewhere else.
Food was excellent.. definitely a bit loud and seating was a bit tight .. but it is NYC. Portions were a bit on the small side for the price. Expected a bit more but would still highly recommend.
We visited Bar Primi as a celebration for our engagement. I booked through OpenTable (of course, in hopes she would say yes), and left a note about my plan for the dinner to be a celebration. Bar Primi obviously took this into consideration, giving us a roomy corner booth on the second floor. The ambiance was wonderful, service was outstanding, the food excellent. Suffice it to say, we had a great evening at Bar Primi. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a spot for a dinner date, or even a fun dining experience with close friends.
Cute restaurant in east village, great for date night and also brunch. Good menu and service
The worst service ever. Our waitress gave us no details about the menu when asked questions. It was almost like we were bothering her when asking what else was on the menu besides “cheese”. The male hostess refused to take a used napkin from the booth after having Asked three different people if it was theirs, he just left it there. The food was clearly microwaved warm and absolutely nothing special. Overall a terrible experience considering the past reviews.
Awesome vibe, great food and would definitely come back
Great pasta...nice service but super loud.
Food was good, however it was impossible to enjoy our dinner. A large, noisy, group nearby were literally yelling and screaming throughout the evening, and made it impossible for other diners to talk or enjoy their meals.
The waiter and manager both agreed that the noise level was unreasonable, but were unwilling to speak to the group.
Poorly trained staff allowed one group to ruin the dining experience of many others, which will impact my dining choice in the future.
Great ambiance. Delicious food: Squid ink pasta, Bolognese, and ricotta is a must. Fun location: We arrived early and stopped at two bars before dinner: The Wren and Gemma while we were waiting for our table.
Food was delicious. Atmosphere was wonderful. Service was awesome.
Went to Bar Primi for a birthday dinner for our family of 4. The service was top notch and the food was delicious.
