Just incredible spot, attention to every detail, food delicious-wait staff charming!

It was a last minute thing and fortunately there was a table for two in the front window. We had an Insalata Mingo and a fennel sausage pizza with arugula. Both were excellent.

Our server was perfect- providing just the right amount of attentiveness. We love Mingo, the soft and comfortable atmosphere, the friendly staff, the delicious food. We look forward to our next visit.

We took advantage of the Portland Dining Month menu and it was fantastic! The polenta with mushroom ragout was outstanding. Service was great, drinks were perfect. This is what keeps us coming back to Bar Bingo. Our out of town guests were very happy with the dining experience as well.

Went for Portland Dining Month. Had the special 3-course menu, as well as some regular menu items. Everything was fantastic. Lamb meatballs.....delicious! The salad from the special menu was a great mix of greens and was terrific.
Both the pappardelle with rabbit from the regular menu, and the bolognese from the special were outstanding. Perfectly cooked hand made pasta, and totally on point sauces. The ice cream profiterole dessert was also extremely tasty.
We were also impressed with the quality of the Sangiovese that was being poured for the Happy Hour red.
Impressive place in all regards. Can’t wait to return and try more of the menu.

Tables very close (can't be helped), room very loud (could be helped). Food was great and menu varied. Service friendly.

Homemade pasta cooked to perfection!

We sat at our table for a half hour and could not get the waiter to even make eye contact. No one asked us for a drink order. When we finally got waited on, the waiter seemed grumpy. It felt like it was on us to engage hm and get friendly service. The food was okay. Had the pasta special but it was nothing special. We had dinner here a year ago and had a really nice experience, so this was disappointing.

An excellent happy hour and dinner with Foodie friends visiting from Vashon Island, WA. We recommended the calamari appetizer and it was especially good: perfectly sauteed and spiced. Also we enjoyed the special brussel sprout salad and the fish special trout with a piccata sauce, potatoes and spinach. They loved the house-made pasta with rabbit sauce, as well. We shared 2 bottles of excellent Tuscan red and finished the night with Grappa, Sambuca and an Affogato! A good time was had by all! They'll be back again on their next visit to Portland and will share their experience with family and friends. Also must give a shout out to the impeccable service of Heather!

This reservation wasn’t a reservation - they had no table ready for us, until we were seated 25 min later at the bar, and the rest of the experience was similarly underwhelming. Hoping to find a new neighborhood hangout, instead had a one-and-done experience among the masses of restaurants near our house. It was a bummer.

Excellent service and well done simple Italian fare. Good wines fairly priced.

Another excellent happy hour and dinner at Bar Mingo! On this occasion we dined with a lovely couple who are chef/owners of another Top 100 Diner's choice award winners. It was their first time at Bar Mingo. They thoroughly enjoyed the calamari and the house lasagna and the cacio e pepe pasta. I had the swordfish special with an olive tapenade, green beans and potatoes. And we topped off the evening with Affogatos. Delicious! Service from Patty was professional and gracious. A good time was had by all!!

Overall the food just wasn’t that good. We had two dishes we enjoyed but two that we barely could finish. Sadly we won’t be returning.

Great experience at Bar Mingo - 2nd times the charm...went New Year’s Eve and the service was a little off, but NOT this time. The service matched the food this time - overall a great experience!! We will be back - our new Portland favorite restaurant!

Really good value for the meal. Drinks and Dinner with all considered was teriffic. 4 for dinner and we had to make the play at 7:30. No problem. Service was exceptional. Reservation honored and excellent window table. Will do again in near future

The food and service were excellent. Bar Mingo has never disaapointed.

Calamari first course was outstanding...perfect seasoning; cooked just until warm and tender. Freshly made pasta cannot be beat..we tried 3 different options and all were superb. Swordfish special was delicious but we also swooned over the sautéed spinach accompaniment. This kitchen is skilled in its seasoning technique. Service was practiced, proficient, attentive and friendly. The wine list offers a nice variety of Italian and domestic varietals. Everything we tried was terrific. We will return!

The lasagna is the best I've ever had. The lamb shank and risotto were lip smacking good. Our only criticism was the scarcity of the rabbit ragu with the tagliatelle. More bunnies? The waiter ran next door to Cafe Mingo when their Brunello de Montalcino ran out. That was very service oriented! I prefer Bar Mingo's menu to Cafe Mingo's. Sorry Mike.

I have been to Bar Mingo quite a few times, both for happy hour and regular menu. Both have been great.
