Had a fantastic experience for an afternoon birthday lunch. Staff was polite and attentive but not overbearing, atmosphere was calm and inviting, and of course the food was as delicious as it looked!
Incredible food and cocktails! Service was great as well!
Food was great!!
Several colleagues from our office have recommended Bar Margot, which offers excellent food and drink options. The Four Seasons is beautiful and a tranquil place to enjoy a meal or a drink. I definitely will return there for future business meals.
Great spot for a good dinner. We came for our Anniversary dinner, and they sat us early! Try the dumplings....super good!
It was a fabulous restaurant. The service was excellent.
Food was poor
This is our favorite bar, we go 2-3 times a month!! Great food, great drinks, great staff, great DJ!!
Enjoyed a business lunch here but have been for drinks before as well. I absolutely love this place, great food, drinks, service and atmosphere.
By far my favorite Atlanta bar!
Our server/bartender, Erik was fantastic and the food and drinks were unbelievable, as usual! Cannot wait to return soon!
Nice vibe, nice seating. Ordered scallop pasta which looked like fresh homemade noodles and was brothy. Ordered crab avocado toast with fries. The toast could have had more avocado, but there was a nice size crab meat on it
The food and service was outstanding!
Server E. Reid was so awesome! Had the cheese plate and deviled eggs (best I have ever had...sorry Grandma). Drinks were flavorful but small. Overall great atmosphere for a romantic drink with my lady.
This was my favorite food stop in Atlanta this trip. My wife and I came for our wedding anniversary for drinks and dessert and this place does not disappoint. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the drinks were fairly well priced. I have already recommended this place to some friends who live up in Atlanta. We will be coming back here for sure!
The service my friend and I received while dining for dinner on a Monday evening will prevent me from ever frequenting this location again. From the moment I arrived I was overlooked and ignored. A white male manager didn't greet me upon my arrival to the hostess stand and instead tended to and seated the two white males standing behind me. The Black female hostesses then took my name and seated me according to my reservation. Once seated, and upon the arrival of my friend, our server came to offer "assistance." As we described our desired choices of alcohol or wine, we were told that those items weren't offered and that he would give us additional time to look over the menus. That additional time turned out to be at least 15 minutes of him never coming back to inquire if we had questions or were ready to order. We watched as he visited every table around us, place their orders in the system, and greet newly arriving guests. I guess my friend and I were no longer a priority, based on his judgmental view of our drinking preferences. When we were finally able to order our food, we called him out on his inattentiveness and he claimed that they were "busier than normal." No other table, with white patrons had to deal with this level of disservice. Our meals were tasty and well prepared so we enjoyed them. Upon time to receive our bills our server was not available, so the white male manager handled our payments and we asked for split payments. He walked to the computer and was visibly upset and perplexed. He came back to the table and we identified what we ordered and when he placed our bills he stated "And the glasses of wine are on the house" I quickly corrected him and clarified that we didn't order glasses of wine, they were merely a taste offered by our server since our desired drinks weren't available. He assumed that two Black women wouldn't pay for nor own up to their entire bill amount when he could've merely asked. It was a completely unacceptable experience
Bar Margot has always been a great experience. This was my fourth time and the experience has not failed me yet. Great music, great crowd, great food and drinks. This is my go to spot for a girls night out.
Great craft cocktails and ambiance! Great for pre-show dining!!
We really enjoyed our experience at Bar Margot. We got the charcuterie board to start and went with our servers recommendations for what to include, we were thrilled with the result. We ordered a signature cocktail (I forget the name. Vodka, cocci americano, lemon, rosemany. Quite refreshing), the scallop pasta, the braised short rib, and had pretzel ice cream to cap off the evening. The food was very good, though the short rib didn't stand out compared to others I've had at similar restaurants (and this was much more expensive). The broth/sauce on the scallops was incredible and the pretzel ice cream was a dream. We spent over two hours enjoying the ambience and would definitely recommend it.
Oh, parking is valet only for $5. Not a bad price at all for downtown parking, but be prepared!
The food was outstanding the staff was amazing and attentive from the hostess to the server and the manager. We had an amazing time!
After spending time and money at the spa we walked up to eat dinner. There was at least 6 open tables but were told we had to either go away or spend 20 minutes at bar counter. After 20 minutes of waiting, a few guys walk up and get seated immediately. Then after complaining,I was told to choose any empty table. Waiter was great but first impressions count! For a 4 season restaurant very poor customer service.
I booked this place for my parents and they had an enjoyable experience there. My mom sent me pictures of the food (their well known dessert : Biscoff Cream Pie WAS SO GOOD) & drinks and it looked amazing as well as the environment. The space in the room was a little tight but tolerable. But overall, as long as my parents were satisfied, I'm satisfied. Thank you so much for giving them an amazing night at Bar Margot:)
Busy night (Valentines Day) required expansion of space which the staff handled well without compromise to quality. Very positive experience.
Loved the ambience and the food. Service was great despite them being very busy for Valentine’s Day. Will surely go back !
We waited for maybe ten minutes before we were served water, which is a serious offense for me because I can understand slow service for food and other drinks, but water is the first thing that should be taken care of. The drinks and food were otherwise quickly brought out. Overall the food was tasty but some of the dishes were lukewarm instead of hot which was annoying. I would
probably not come back to this restaurant but I would recommend if you’re looking to enjoy the ambiance of the Four Seasons.
This was our first experience at Bar Margot for Valentine's Day dinner with my wife. We appreciate that our 7PM reservation was held for us due to being a little bit late. The hostess initially seated us in the back of the dining room. We immediately requested to change our seating. Melissa was our server and she was great. She apologized that their kitchen was running behind and brought us something to munch on. The complimentary Prosecco was nice. We enjoyed both our appetizer and entree. Although for the price point, it was a little disappointing that neither if our apps or entrees were exceptional, in my opinion. One of the waiters started to place someone elses order on our table. Melissa quickly corrected the situation. My wife's glass of white wine was lovely. My cocktail was interesting. As this was our first impression of Bar Margot, it wasn't the exceptional experience we had anticipated. However, it was pleasant enough for us to consider a return in the future. Hopefully, not on a holiday evening when the kitchen and staff seemed a little overwhelmed. I give it an overall rating of four stars.
Love this place. Consistently good and just a great atmosphere to see and be seen. A classic.
Our waiter was awesome. Great service. Our Valentine’s date made it so special because our waiter gave us a complimentary Valentine’s cookie with Happy Valentine’s Day written on it. Customer service thumbs up but food is pricy. Two pieces of scallops cost $16.
Positives: energetic 30's crowd . Inside Four Seasons hotel which is elegant. Food good but a bit pricey. The service was truly impeccable.
I love Bar Margot- From the environment to the food it is just a fun place to meet for drinks, dinner or lunch.
Simple birthday dinner before the symphony. We enjoyed everything! Thank you!
This restaurant/lounge located inside the Four Seasons is great for dinner or late night fare. Friday nights are perfect for dates or group outings because there is a DJ on hand after 9pm. The food selection is ever-changing but never disappoints. I love the crab toast, oysters, shrimp, and lobster. The tasting board is great for 2-3 people. The ambiance is relaxed sophistication and is great for people watching. It's definitely in my top 5 Atlanta locales.
So, so bad. As soon as we rolled in we let our server know we were heading to the JT concert and needed to be quick. Took 15 minutes to get our drinks. (A couple cocktails and a bottle of wine with every intention or ordering another, but never got the chance to) As soon as he showed up we placed our order at 6:45. At 8, we only had 3 of our small plates (we ordered all but 3 of the ones on the menu) We asked to close out our check nicely. 10 minutes later we asked less nicely. Few apologies no comps. Of the plates we did get the octopus was overdone and of the crab toast, the toast was the most flavorful part. We have been to almost every Ford Fry restaurant and I am shocked by the food and service here. I disregarded the other reviews that commented on the service (due to proximity to venue), but should not have. Thank goodness JT redeemed the night. The suite food/service at State Farm Arena was better than Bar Margot.
Had some friends in town, so we wanted to take them for the burger lunch. It was delicious! We love that Marcel is now offering lunch daily.
Thank you for an AWESEOME sister day!! We'll be back and ask for Dante!
Bar Margot gets a middle-of-the-road review. My wife and I went on New Year's Eve 2018.
I'll start with the good...
Food was awesome. We had bread, duck prosciutto and some French cheese to begin. These, along with the jam and flatbread provided, were excellent. My wife then had some raw oysters and I ordered the 16 hour braised shortrib. These items were also fantastic.
Now the bad...
The service was painfully slow. I understand that New Year's Eve is a busy time to dine, as I've eaten out on NYE many years in the past, but this was (as I mentioned) PAINFULLY slow. I knew it would be when it took about 15 minutes to just get drinks, and usually most places are extremely quick to bring out drinks, because what they really want is for you to finish that drink quickly and order another drink. Not the case here. We ordered the starter dishes and since the server was not the one delivering the starters, we were unable to order our entrees until she returned. It probably took just shy of 2 hours to get drinks, starters, and entrees
By the time we were finished with our entrees, and all beer, wine, and water were gone... someone, I have no idea who... a manager I suppose, finally came to ask if we needed anything else. I simply asked for the check rather than run the risk of spending another hour waiting for ordering and receiving a dessert.
The tables outside the restaurant were also awkward and meant more as a lounging area. These should not be used for dining, but when the host asked us if we wanted to sit near the live music or in a quieter area, we opted for the quieter area... which was out in the mezzanine area of the Four Seasons Hotel. I felt like I was hunched over or slouched the entire time.
Would I be willing to go back? Maybe, but I'd make more of an effort to sit in the actual restaurant and try to order more of my items at the same time to avoid delays.
Bar Margo was a great way to start my NYE festivities. It is a small but elegant bar in the Four Seasons, but it wasn't stuffy. The staff was friendly, professional and attentive. I had the Squid Ink Pasta, it was fantastic!
Over rated. Poor service and too expensive for what you get. Years ago was a hot spot but now a waste of time and money.
This is much more like a bar than a restaurant. We ate dinner and it was great, but I felt like most people were there for drinks and small bites.
