Food and service were great.
Loved the Italian beers available. Pizza and arancini were perfect!
Great in all respects!
Food and service were good. The dining room was sweltering hot which impacted our mood about the experience. The bar was much cooler but they seem to have a problem with the A/C in the dining room.
Been to Bar Luca several times. Also a hit. food, drinks and service are always top-notched. This visit was for our Family in celebration of Fathers Day. A busy holiday for resteraunts - - there was never any time that we felt rushed. Totally enjoyable and delicious. The service that was provided was also great.
We sat at the bar before our reservation time and the bartender was terrific - nice and knowledgeable. Our server was really good. She was patient while we decided and ordered and very friendly with the sharing and special requests. We were able to sit for as long as we liked and didn't feel rushed. The food was great.
Great night, mojito was the best I’ve had in awhile. The octopus app was great, as were the entrees. Highly recommend.
The table and atmosphere were terrific. We enjoyed the food, except for the salad.
I went to Bar Lucca with girlfriends on a week night. It was busy but not crowded. Bar tender and waitstaff were professional which is great for a local conshy restaurant. We shared a whole array of food from the menu, salad, pasta and pizza, and loved it all. Portion size was adequate for sharing, even amoung 6 of us. I really enjoyed this place.
Wonderful brunch with a dear friend. Perfect seating by wide open window. Fabulous, thoughtful, friendly service. Fantastic Bellini, breakfast pizza, and good strong coffee. Wish we had room for the beignets but were too full.
Our second trip to Bar Luca confirmed it is our favorite place to eat in Conshohocken.
Bar Lucca is one of my favorite Conshy restaurants. The food is outstanding, the staff is incredible, very accommodating. They go the extra mile to make sure your experience is enjoyable. They are very attentive. It has become one of my favorite weekend spots.
only negative is the place is quite noisy. hard to hear even at a table of 4
Great food and service but very (too) noisy for business conversation. Recommend a later start time (after out-to-lunch folks finish)
Waited 15 minutes before our table was touched. Watch servers hug each other and management laughing in the back before I had to get up and tell someone we were waiting to just get water. They graciously bought our first round of drinks but it was a very weird service experience. The food was delicious and hot.
The restaurant was so cute and the staff was very accommodating. The food I thought was a little too overly-done...for example the meatballs had cheese on it and the fried calamari had a mayonnaise sauce on it.
Go for the pizza which is very good. Rest of the menu ok. Service was fair.
Great experience overall.
My only complaint was that one of our table mates received her food approximately 10 minutes after the rest of the party.
We have been here several times and have probably written a prior review. The food here is great and leans towards Italian cuisine. A healthy crowd size typically shows up on weekends, but nonetheless getting an Open Table reservation has not been difficult on a Friday or Saturday night for two people.
Loved it! Excellent drinks menu including a few different spritzes which we enjoyed. I had a delicious pizza. Efficient and pleasant service. I would come back.
Bar Lucca! We frequent this spot for date night. Great atmosphere and ambience. We absolutely love the food here also.
The food was great. Our grandchildren were entertained by the pizza chef. All good.
Went there for Mother's day. Even though we had a reservation, our table was not quite ready. The bar was empty so we ordered a drink while we waited. The 10 minute wait was worth it as we ended up in a "private dining room". We had a great time and enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the only downside to Bar Lucca is the noise when it's well booked.
Good service, interesting food
Excellent food and service. Went there for Sunday brunch (Mothers Day), party of 3. We had French toast, a personal pizza and sandwich, everything was delicious. I had asked for a local beer, the keg had just kicked kicked as the bartender was pouring it, the waitress informed me but brought back a sample of a similar beer (citrus IPA) which was delicious. That type of customer service is hard to find. Our waitress was spectacular, helpful, always checking in, and when she can make great beer recommendations like that should be in the Hall Of Fame servers! It was our first time there, but we are already planning to come back for dinner in a few weeks.
We are regulars and went last Friday impromptu. We came relative early which turned out to be very nice: we were one of only a few upstairs (so had no noise issues) and we could get happy hour olives. During the meal it filled up upstairs but we never thought it was too noisy. The food and drinks were outstanding as ever. We could not believe how big the portion of the fried squid was. The new beet salad was also excellent. Finished with the excellent Affogato Doppio; for that we chose Pistachio and Hazelnut ice-cream. Was a pleasure to be served again by Anastisia, who seems to have been there since day one.
The food was wonderful but it was SO LOUD in the second floor dining area that I could barely hear the person sitting two people away from me! The music was DEAFENING and more appropriate for a club. Patrons then talked more loudly and it made the dining experience more unpleasant. A shame as food was great.
Great place for tapas and small plates. Also has full size entrees. Pizzas are amazing (6 slices) also good for sharing. Served with fresh oregano and chili sauce/dip on side. Try the tartufo (mushroom) pizza. The salt loaf is delicious. I didn't do dessert this time but if you save room for dessert, try the doughnuts - also good for sharing. Nice outdoor seating area.
Steak, bread and risotto balls were good. Please add chicken, entree salad, and pasta to your menu. The Brussel sprouts were very hard. Heavy seafood selection. Curious about the eggplant appetizer. Server was efficient, attentive and friendly. We had Sunday dinner reservations and was surprised we were not given a window table - since the restaurant was not busy. It was a good experience but we may or may not return.
Started with Happy Hour.. then moved for dinner.
Food and service very very good...
But noise level was atrocious... seated in main dining room..
and on top of the guests noise there was music of some type (who knows what) playing through
the ceiling ?? keep the music in the bar, not the dining room...
We ate at the bar and it was awesome.
Dinner was very tasty, shared a special pizza an an appetizer then dinner. We had scallops, pasta (slightly underdone but extremely flavorful). We sat outside and although on the street it was easy to have a conversation with friends. Service was excellent. Will return.
Just had one of the first nice days of the year and decided to dine on the front patio. Amazing food, service, and lunch. The way they mix ingredients together, on every dish, proves they have a scientific mastery of the culinary science.
Amazing amazing amazing.
Having traveled to Lucca Italy and Tuscany, our dining experience was a welcome reminder of delicious flavors and wine pairings. I would highly recommend dining here!!!!
1st time to this neighborhood gem - but we've been urged by several friends to try it . It's a vibrant spot off of the main drag in Conshy with ample parking. It's on the smallish side with both bar seating as well as restaurant seating in the next room. Our server (Sondra) was awesome. Excellent wine recommendation, knowledgeable of the menu, and just all-around nice, polite, & fun. Salads were very well prepared and very tasty. The wild mushroom bruschetta was very good, albeit a little messy, and our pasta dishes were both outstanding. The dessert menu was nothing to write home about - and we were full - so we passed. As we always think of which of our friends would like the restaurant (or not), our only observation we had was that the noise level was really high. Hardwood floors and a small dining room coupled with loud music from the bar made dinner conversation a little trying - particularly if you had older members in your party who might have difficulty hearing. All-in-all a very nice place with good food. We'll be back.
Our waitress was sweet, but after we waited several minutes for her to approach us and take our wine order, she returned 10 minutes later after realizing she forgot which bottle we had chosen. Bread and olive oil were totally forgettable which is disappointing from an Italian restaurant that is supposedly reminiscent of Lucca. The lamb dish was expensive but good; my husband tried the swordfish meatballs and was disappointed. Maybe just a bad menu choice there. Music was too loud for an upstairs dining room, so every table was shouting at each other to be heard over silly bar tunes. The owner should consider the idea that the downstairs bar scene need not be repeated upstairs.
Wonderful birthday dinner!
Great date night place upstairs. Fun energetic bar scene downstairs with tables.
