For parties larger than 8, please call the restaurant.
My reservation was supposed to be 4, then it turned into 6, then 9, then 11. To our surprise we had a private room and table on the second floor of the restaurant. Staff was very accommodating. Food and service spectacular. Everyone had a great time.
Very good food close in Conshohocken for a reasonable price. Good drinks and fantastic pasta and pizza
The place is very nice, the food was ok, the pizza was burnt so my son wouldn't eat it. The wine list had some nice choices. It was not bad, we may or may not be back.
Four of us dined for the first (and last) time at Bar Lucca on 7/1/2019. To see the range of dishes, we ordered the tasting menu for the table. We got more than tastes. After bread and our wine, our server brought three bowls of antipasti (cheeses/meats, salad, bruschetta), each large enough for a family of 5. After that came three pastas (pizza, gnocci, papardelle), then three secondi (scalllops, risotto, baked veggies ), again each dish enough by itself for the table. Though my wife and I are big eaters, we maxed out before the secondi, and our friends took home two large grocery bags of doggy-boxes. There were a few good moments (excellent meat/cheese plate, good bruschetta, modest wine mark-ups, good server), but the rest of the food ranged from fair to forgettable (i.e., raw pizza crust, leaden gnocci). Enormous portions do not make up for poor preparation.
The neighborhood bar has lots of charm and the location is ideal. I hoped for better food choices. The arugula salad had an odd choice of ingredients and the eggplant plate wasn't as good as hoped (too much batter and strange mixture of flavors.) The other couple's pizza was not cooked properly.
We were seated in the dining room area, but our table was right next to another table in the bar area. The noise level was really loud, the group at the table was talking loudly and we were in such close proximity, we were virtually sitting at their table (only an open half wall between us). Almost impossible to carry on our own conversation. Otherwise, the waitress was very attentive and helpful. Small but interesting menu, lots of shareable options. Loved the salt bread, also the chili oil and fresh oregano for the thin crust pizza. Would go again but would ask for a different table away from the bar area or perhaps outside!
Bar Lucca is a great place to have dinner. The food we had when we went was okay. The calamari app was fair, although I don't think there is much you can do to improve it. We had the tartufi pizza. The flavors we're good but the texture of the dough was not so good. It was spongy and chewy. Chewy is good with pizza but when you add the spongy quality it was not so good. The cocktail menu is boring. Wine list is interesting. I would go back but with average expectations.
I was looking for somewhere new to try to take Steve out to dinner for his Birthday. I came across Bar Lucca. Sooo not disappointed!! This was our first time at Bar Lucca and I will tell you it will not be our last. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the host, to the bartender who was friendly and very attentive to our fantastic server Jamie. We were a large party and she made sure that all could hear her explanation of the menu. Jamie suggested the Chefs tasting menu which sounded amazing. We all agreed it was the best way to go since there was so much we wanted to try. Omgosh we were not disappointed. Every bite was delicious!
Our meal started on a high note with Burrata crostini with an aged balsamic, charcuterie tray, and a rocket salad ❤️❤️. Next was gnocchi in a lite creme’ sauce with pancetta, parpadelli with a wild boar ragu and a arugula, prosciutto and moz pizza. ❤️ Next was our main course- Bronzino with fennel and orange, Red beet risotto with short ribs and goat cheese, and quick fried Brussel sprouts in a chili oil. And if that wasn’t enough we ended with a yummy dessert of pistachio gelato, mini biscotti and mini sugar donut filled with chocolate hazelnut. Every bite was oh soooo delectable ❤️.
Jamie our server was personable, very attentive, and just all around wonderful. Truly a wonderful night celebrating our wonderful guy ❤️.
My only regret is I didn’t take photos 😏😭
The food is always amazing. This time we had a couple pastas (as usual) and scallops over cauliflower puree with pea shoots, pickled beets, and some crispy/salty meat. I wasn't sure how the beets would work, but it was excellent.
This our favorite restaurant in Conshohoken! We enjoy it every visit from great service, inventive choices, outstanding pizzas, marvelous small plates and a wonderful wine list!
It was great! Food was interesting and delicious!
Should add arancini back on menu... but love going here!
We've been going to Bar Lucca for years, but had a recent experience that was poor. I'd give it another shot again, but the food didn't seem so fresh and the service was extremely slow. It was a Sunday evening, so maybe a different vibe.
The menu is very limited unless you want pizza or pasta, which seems odd given the ambiance of the restaurant model. You don't understand much of what's on the menu. The presentation of the food was not very good. The service was very good and they tried their best, but overall I wouldn't go back unless it was to sit at the bar and have a drink.
We had dinner outside and it was lovely. The food was excellent and our waitress, Emily, was great. Their menu is very good. You can’t go wrong with anything but I like the Testaroli and their pizza the best. Carmen D.
We arrived on Friday for our meal only to be told the kitchen had closed at 9pm!
Fantastic time! Victoria was a such a fun and thoughtful server—she gave us great recommendations on food and wine choices and paced appropriately so we had time to enjoy our meal and conversation. Burrata appetizer and fried eggplant were a great start. We tried the gnocchi, sausage pizza, and the grilled pasta (this was new to me—fascinating prep and so delicious with pesto). Finished off with Nutella doughnuts. We left full and happy and planning what to get next time...
Too dark. Please turn up the lighting
We ate here last year, and I loved it -- the food, the cocktails, and the buzzy atmosphere. I ate here this past weekend, and we were seated upstairs -- very quiet, and no particular vibe. Food was pretty good, and the service was very good, but I would not eat upstairs again.
Bar Luca is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The food is so close to the true Italian food you get in Italy. When I'm missing Italy and craving true Italian food, I come here.
Scallops were gritty
our meals were very good but the A+ goes to our waitress, Courtney (I think that was her name). Very friendly and focused on our experience in your restaurant. She is an asset to Bar Lucca.
Great dinner and cocktails. Outstanding staff. Disappointed that party of two could not order tasting menu.
First time- for son’s college graduation. Low key nice venue good food and drink. Loved the beignets as our first introduction to the menu.
We went to Sat brunch at 11:30AM. It was very quiet and pleasant, as there were not many other patrons there. The food and the service were both excellent. The front hinged glass windows were opened, letting in a beautiful breeze. More patrons arrived as we were leaving, but the sound level was still pretty low. This was our first visit to Bar Lucca, and we will definitely return.
Amazing experience! Our server was SO knowledgeable about the different wines and food. She helped us pick out the perfect complements to our family style dining experience! Can’t wait to go back!
Delicious food as always
Outstanding. We will be back.
Great Tuscan pizza, meat and cheese boards and wonderful soups. A great place to dine.
What a wonderful choice! Every member of the staff who interacted with us was pleasant and responded quickly to the questions we had. Food was brought out quickly and was absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back!
Great food and nice smaller intimate atmosphere. Fresh pasta daily.
The deafening noise made it impossible to have a conversation without shouting. It ruined what would otherwise have been a decently pleasant meal. My ears are still ringing two days later.
The food at Bar Lucca was absolutely delicious! The menu is a little small but all of the options are great and everyone at our table was pleased with their meal. Looking forward to eating here again and hopefully sitting outside on their adorable patio!
Outstanding experience at Bar Luca! Our server, Jackie was wonderful! She answered questions and helped with recommendations. The food was delicious and special requests were encouraged. We loved it!
Third time dining at Bar Lucca and it has been consistently delicious. It has a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere and very friendly staff. Have been there for a girl’s night dinner, couples dinner and this time was with my 12 year old son. We enjoyed the meat and cheese board, burrata small plate and a pizza with arugula and prosciutto. Will visit again.
Great local place... off the beaten path :)
My friends and I really enjoyed dining here. The pizzas we ordered (Brussels and Tartufo) were absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend to anyone else who comes and eats here.
The pastas were tasty but a little drier than expected - maybe I don't actually understand real Italian food so I didn't want to knock the food itself if that is what it is intended to be.
Service was incredible - waitstaff were attentive but not hovering over our table. Answered all questions we had with professionalism and delightful humor.
Dinner before a show in center city. Told the staff when we had to be on our way and everything worked perfectly. Food was great from the salads to the pizza, pasta, fish and steak. Great choice when in the neighborhood.
Food was not as flavorful as previous trips and they also didn’t have conchy brewing on tap, yet that was the name on the taps at the bar.
