The food was delicious and loved the ambiance! Can’t wait to go back!
I recently took a friend to Bar Dough for dinner and I was blown away by the the service and the food! Our waiter was spot on in all his recommendations, even the wine we were skeptical about! 100% recommend Bar Dough! PS get the Brioche Doughnut dessert!
The wait staff was honest and helpful in his recommendations. The cocktail list is creative and downright delicious! 3 of us shared 2 appetizers and a pizza and pasta entree and felt very satisfied with the delicious choices. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a tasty and fun experience.
Great food, but pizza and pasta were served warm, not hot.
Bar dough exceeded my expectations- the fancy toast was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, and the service was great!
Really fantastic food. The pizza crust was particularly notable and the pizza was great. The pasta was a sublime combination of flavors like I've never tasted. The polenta appetizer was really good.
So very disappointed! I brought my cousin who was visiting in for brunch and we were told we had to order by 1:45 because the kitchen was closing at 2. I’m guessing we got the last two plates of the day because the cacio e Pepe had a very over poached egg and was extremely salty. Our Sunday pizza tasted only like the sauce and the crust was soggy and chewy. There were only a couple other diners some of whom got food after 2pm so not sure what that was about. I had been for brunch before and really enjoyed it. Next time I will need to find somewhere new.
This is the second time that my partner and I have been to Bar Dough... our experience both times have been absolutely incredible. From check-in to being seated, the service is impeccable! Never waited for drinks and every dish that arrived at our table was packed full of wonderful surprises with excellent flavor profiles. Being from NYC, I expect great service and you’ll get just that when you come here - everything from the seasonal ingredients to the craft cocktails, you’re in for a real treat! I am not a fan of quinoa at all and yet I found myself wanting more of their quinoa salad. Pro-Tip - Save room for dessert - the Apple torta was devoured so quickly, you would have thought we hadn’t eaten at all... it’s that good!
At the end of the experience of great food and drinks... Chef Carrie came out to our table to chat and say hello - she was truly my favorite on Top Chef Denver and her energy, sparkling personality shines through - you rarely meet such an incredibly talented, sincere and humble human being! You’re a true star Carrie and it is an honor to meet you and enjoy your fantastic menu!
Cody was a fantastic server. He was knowledgeable about the wine and beer selection and gave excellent suggestions. He was attentive and didn't make us feel rushed. The food was wonderful!
Went their for Brunch to use our Denver Dining Passport and had a fantastic meal. We had the Autumn harvest hash with added fennel sausage (recommend) and the eggs Benedict. Both were great but the service was slow. Never got my coffee refilled before we left and took a while to get the ticket. It was pretty busy for brunch so it’s forgiven.
My husband and I have been wanted to go to Bar Dough for a long time and we were definitely not disappointed. I was a little worried when all they had left was tabletop seating as sometimes it is a very small table and there were 3 of us - but the seating are large rectangles - so plenty of room for all of us. We shared the table with another party - but there was an empty seat between us so we had plenty of privacy. We started off with the autumn quinoa and it was delicious - vegetables were fresh and very flavorful. Whilst the pizzas looked scrumptious - the 3 of us opted for pasta dishes - I had the tagliarini (squid ink pasta) and I am still thinking about it - it was that good. Note - it has a bit of a kick to it - so stay away if you are spicy shy! My husband had the pappardelle and my friend had the mezzaluna - both of whom loved their dishes as well - the pasta and all the ingredients are so very fresh. I really want to go back and try the pizza - but truthfully it is going to be hard to resist getting the tagliarini again. I have been searching for a favourite dish in Denver - and right now, Carrie's tagliarini tops the list.
I will also give a shout out to all that served us - they were attentive - but not annoying. My husband's tea glass was always full! The host was kind enough to hang up my coat and bring it back to me with a smile. Cannot wait to go back again!
Such incredible food! Be ready to be in awe of literally everything on the menu!
Awesome meal. There were 3 of us and we did a sampling meal. Just ordered random things off the menu and shared. Truly a great experience and outstanding menu. Cody was our waiter and he was wonderful!
This restaurant is painfully loud. We had to shout at each other to hear and most of the time I had to ask our server to repeat herself. The tables are so close together that often times when the server is talking to the table next to you, their rear end is very close to your face. The kale and beets salad is delicious. I had the duck leg confit which was perfectly cooked but drowning in salt. My dining companion had the pork chop which was under cooked and also very salty. Total bill for two tonic waters, a salad, two entrees and two desserts was $96. We won't be back.
We had a wonderful night out with friends. The food was great. The atmosphere was unique. My only complaint was the amount of time it took to find parking on a Friday night.
Best brunch in Denver!
Great friendly staff! Food was wonderful. I’ll be back for sure.
We went for brunch and the food exceeded our expectations (and we were already excited about it). Delicious!
Love Chef Carrie! The Autumn Hash and bacon were delicious. Great drinks. Friendly service. The patio was perfect!
Bar Dough never fails to impress. They manage to make it feel like a special occasion, while still being cozy and comfortable. Tonight we had the Fennel salad, meatballs and pizza with pistachio pesto. Still savoring those flavors. Can’t wait to get back there.
As a fan of Chef Carrie on Top Chef, Bar Dough has been on my list since we moved to Colorado. So glad we finally made it there for dinner! We started with two small plates, the meatballs and fancy toast. Wow! Two great choices to share four ways. We had two pizza entrees and two pastas. We shared bites and all claimed our choice was best. They were each excellent so it was a win all around. You should try the braised short rib pappardelle and bucatini pastas as well as the salsiccia and il grande pizzas. Service was great and we will go back soon. Highly recommend Bar Dough!
Great restaurant with excellent food and service - tasty toast, broccolini, the chicken all a must have!
Food was amazing and the restaurant was really cool. Our server was very slow and it took ~45 minutes between courses to get food and the waitress seemed oblivious to that fact. Also, do not sit at the high top tables, one side backs up to the bar and you get bumped into by everyone that walks by.
Perfect from start with warm welcome to fabulous eggs Benedict to gracious goodbye.
I was devastated to learn the Roasted Carrot Salad had been removed from the menu....that is one of my favorite vegetable dishes in all Denver.
Yes if you want to spend 50 buck on a appetizer main course lol the portions are soooo small lol
Probably our 15th visit to Bar Dough. We had a girls night here and as always it was delicious. The service was great and each of the 3 pasta dishes we shared were unique and tasty. The fresh pasta makes all the difference. Would recommend to anyone looking for some amazing pasta or pizza!
Meatballs - amazing
Fancy Toast - otherworldly
Pizzas - extraordinary
Risotto - this must be what Heaven tastes like
Gelato (pistachio and salted caramel) - whoa.
Food was absolutely delicious but for the cost, the portions were way too small. We spent $170 without tip and were all left feeling hungry.
Ambiance includes two giant TVs
Great food! Especially liked the bobolinis! Nice setting outside. Seemed a little loud inside.
Super good and nice menu. Second visit and we did find some of our pasta was slightly undercooked. The sauces were amazing though.
Great food, great server, beautiful ambiance. Totally into it, will be going back again and again and again.
Loved the food, cocktails, and service. The only drawback for us was that the noise level was a bit high. It was hard to hear our conversation because there were two large parties at the high tops directly behind us. Maybe when that happens the manager could turn down the music a bit?
It was incredible pasta is a must!!!!
One of the best Italian restaurants - amazing food and ambiance!
Second time for brunch. I had the Sunday pizza, again. And, it was amazing. And, their homemade chili oil is delicious! We also had the house huevos, which she beat Bobby flay with in a throwdown. Also, delicious!
Excellent food!
The house wine wasn't very good but, the staff corrected that. The food was outstanding, especially the squid ink pasta! I highly recommend this place!
I had the cacio e pepe (on the brunch menu) and it was fantastic and several of the dishes had beautiful presentations. Our only complaint was how long it took to get food (45 minutes). It was busy but not completely full so we didn't expect that and we didn't have anyone stop and say that it was taking longer. I'm not sure if this is normal here because it was my first visit, or if one of the dishes delays the order.
