Street Food was a natural step, not only because the genre melds with her eclectic culinary tastes, but also because in many places street food is the essence of local cuisine. The menus read like an adventurous backpacker’s food diary- changing every five weeks focusing on street food from a different city or country each time. You might enjoy Oaxacan Mexican street food one month and weeks later you’ll be transplanted to the Caribbean and on to the Tapas Bars in Spainor to the melting pot of Asian Street Food.

Waitress was awesome! Food was good but WAY expensive - would be nice to have some under 15$ options - even just a burger by itself would be okay.
Otherwise was great, Thelma and the Sleaze was awesome. Server was very nice, patient, and hard working.
It was gem of a place that I hadn’t heard of before. I would definitely come here again.
Good drinks. Limited menu. We were there early. Might be a good music venue.
classy, quality, delicious
Great food, always good bands, good drinks and good crowds that get into the music.
We attended a singer-song writer event hosted by Mark Edgar Stuart. Will Sexton was the guest performer at this session. This is the third event of Stuart’s that we have attended here. However, this is the first time we had dinner there. The menu was limited but we both found something to order and we both enjoyed our food! It was a listening room format so you could hear what the performers were saying. It was enjoyable and we look forward to the next session.
Be sure to visit on a night with live music! This wonderful little venue is both intimate and inviting. Bonus--it's smoke free!
What a great night hearing Jimbo Mathus...... my first time to visit DKDC and will be back for Mark Edgar Stuart shows in June...... food was great and our server Christina was wonderful.... thanks so much.....
I actually didn’t have any food, so I can speak to that. But everything else was excellent. I was there mostly for the band that night (the FABULOUS Marcella and Her Lovers). It was very crowded but fun! Too many people talking loudly, but of course that’s almost completely out of the control of the owners/staff, who were extremely nice and helpful.
Wow! Unexpectedly outstanding. The jerk chicken was to die for. The hamburger was the best we’ve ever had (go figure, we ordered a second). And the garlic fries were crisp and testy. Wished we’d had time to try The Beauty Shop next door - bigger menu, BLD available, but sadly closed on Sunday. If in Memphis, try one or both of these places
Great atmosphere. Don't pass up the brussel sprouts! And Tyler was an exceptional server!
The restaurant was packed to hear Mark Stuart. We didn’t eat but did have drinks and our service was great.
We meet some friends there for New Year’s eve. It’s was just the right mix of food, music and fun.
Happy New Year!
I was really excited when we walked into DKDC, as the atmosphere was amazing and they had our table claimed with a calligraphy card. The service started out great, but soon took a decline because they were wildly understaffed. It was new years eve and they only had one waitress on staff and one bartender for the 10 tables. Drinks and our appetizers came out relatively fast as well as our meal. Food was decent, but not mind blowing. The waitress recommended that I get a chicken dish, so I did. After waiting 30 minutes after everyone else's food was delivered, my dinner had still not come out. We asked for the check, as we were eager to get out of the restaurant so I could get some dinner. When it came, my missing meal was still on the ticket! I asked for it to be comped and the waitress came over and asked if I would like to wait longer, as they were just beginning to make my meal (now an hour after I had ordered it). Huge disappointment. Would definitely recommend choosing another restaurant.
We went here for a late dinner and the food was good, but not outstanding. The drinks were okay; the wine list was limited but very good. Seems like it would be a better place to have a drink and listen to music than for dinner. The place's atmosphere and service were great!
It was super crowded due to a live band and service was very slow. Took forever to be seen, to order, for the food to come, asked for silverware, and they never brought any. After some time I fought my way to the bar to get some bc the waitress was busy with other tables. Food was cold by the time we could eat it. Probably won’t be back.
Great service and food. The steak was excellent and so were the wings. I would highly recommend and will return again soon!
We enjoyed the eclectic atmosphere and table by the window. Very friendly server and good drinks. The food on the other hand I cannot recommend. We had oysters, cheese plate(ordered bigger one but was skimpy), and brochette, all sub par.Thai steak salad was pretty good. That said, I would go back for fun place to get drinks.
The bartender did a great job, the music was just right. Had time to talk and didn't feel rushed. Love David Couser.
The burger was delicious! The shrimp dish not so much.
A bartender recommended this bar, it was one of the highlights of our visit to Memphis. GREAT BAND! Fun crowd, nice staff, so much fun.
Celebrated husbands birthday with The Mighty Souls Brass Band!! We had a blast
Great time, great drinks, great food, and literally the most outstanding service of all time. Didn't catch the guys name who was keeping track of us - but this dude was the best.
This is much more of a bar these days then a restaurant. There were people loudly watching tv and it smelled of stale cigarettes. The food was good, but I would rethink going there for dinner due to the vibe it has now.
It was quiet and not at all busy. My beer was great, but the food was just ok and it left much to be desired. It was a tiny portion and for the price I expected some kind of chips or fries or something to come with it...but no.
Decent banh mi sandwich. Surprised how empty the place was.
Our first time there was on New Years Eve 2016. Came to hear Marcella and Her Lovers + Terrance Simien. Big fans of the group. Enjoyed the meal (Burger, Brussel Sprouts). Place was jumping and waiters handled the crowd with ease! Awesome way to bring in the New Year!! Will definitely come back ( I live 1.5 hours away) Pricing on drinks/meal was very reasonable; especially for NYE.
This is one of the coolest bars in Memphis....definitely a must-see. The band that played on Friday night, "Marcella and Her Lovers," was seriously the best band I have ever heard. The food is unique and tasty. Drinks are awesome. LOVE. Will definitely be back next time we are in town.
The menu was not what was published on the website. Very disappointed with the food available. Menu was changed months ago yet no update to the website. Will most likely choose a different bar/restaurant next time we are in the area.
Bar DKDC is a unique dining experience that everyone should try! The food is fabulous! The service is excellent! And the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. It ha s become one of my favorite places to dine in Memphis. Highly recommend!!
This was a great little place - interesting menu and delicious food. Portions were reasonable; bar options were good; environment was a lot of fun.
Cool vibe. Amazing small plates. Delicious flavors. Perfect presentation.
I always enjoy eating here. The menu is often changing. It is a neat environment. The food is always favorable and i have yet to be disappointed.
Went to Bar DKDC and initially was unsure of what to expect.. small place with sparse crowd - but I was early (6:30). Then I ordered and some of the most wonderful food that I have ever experienced was eloquently served at my table. I love, love the small plate spots that are popping up and this is one that must not be missed! The food is simply awesome! The service was outstanding.. I will be back!
What a great place to go for some really great drinks and delectable eats...
It was a wonderful restaurant and would recommend you try it!!
DKDC has a fun menu of small plates that will please everyone and is a fabulous place to sit and enjoy music in an intimate setting.
What a treat to be able to sit in the intimate atmosphere of Bar DKDC and hear Amy Lavere play while having drinks and dinner. This was a great Memphis Music Experience with delightful small plate local food.
this was our 2nd trip there after our 1st trip for new years. it was much louder this time and really hard to hear the people across from us, we had a party of 6. I went back this time for the food because it was sooooo good the 1st time but it had a serious drop off this time. everyone's selections were cold when they came out as if they were sitting in the pickup window for some time. I will say if they would add 2 more on staff to handle the tables this wouldn't be a problem, just not enough staff to handle a full house.
It's the second time I've been there. It is a great place wit wonderful food and drinks.
