small menu - but everything was very good. sad this SOMA landmark is going to be "shutting". glad they are moving to another area nearby.
The food was amazing and the service attentive. I can’t really comment on noise level. The restaurant had lots of cancelled reservations due to the coronavirus scare, so it was almost empty. The bread was perfect, by the way. All dishes seemed simple, but the flavors were perfect together.

Too bad their shutting down in a few months to relocate. The current space their in is great! However, their new space is supposed to be designed by architecture firm Snøhetta from Norway! Tom our host was so fun to talk too and very funny, and our bartender was warm and friendly. Our server was great and always keeping an eye out on us for additional glasses of wine/water or other requests. We were very impressed with everything overall and recommend this place. We were there for Valentines Day special so haven't tried the other items on the menu as it was a limited menu for Valentines. We will definetly return before they leave this space for their new one.

Great cocktails, good food and excellent service! We went on a particularly cold day, so it was a bit cold in the booth. In any other aspect, Bar Agricole is great and I’m definitely coming back.
The food was delicious but truly not filling; I feel a bit like the prices are misleading — they seem good enough for entrees, then you realize most are too small to be an entree
We were a large crowed and basically shared the whole Menue, everything was just amazing.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. My husband and I were visiting San Fran for a couple of days and had heard good things about the food here. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel very unwelcome. The host was also our server. He came over to our table after about 15 minutes of being seated and said "would you like to order some stuff?" Stuff? Okay. Umm yes. Then we had a couple dfferent people bring our food out. Not one of them ever came back to ask us how it was or did we need anything else. NOT ONE. Maybe we're just southerners used to friendly people with manners but I would never ever step foot in this place again. The food was excellent but the overall unfriendliness of the staff ruined what should have been a great dinner. I should also note that it was quite pricey so that added insult to injury. Should have gone with In N Out Burger!
We loved our date night here! The staff was fun and so knowledgeable, it's a great place to try rare spirits and one-of-a-kind cocktails. Ingredients were fresh and seasonal, lots of thoughtful details.
We loved the eggs with herring and the persimmon that we got with our cheese was outstanding. The clafoutis was like the best combo of cake and soft bread that you can imagine.
Bartender Craig knew everything there was to know about vermouths and we had a fun talk about bartender fashion and aesthetics.

We ordered the trout and pork shoulder. Both were incredibly delicious. The trout was so good we’re still talking about it!
Even though I ask for a corner table or something away of the main door and the noise because we would have a two-year old. The host did not care about any request, just seat us in the very first booth next to the host stand, in front of the bar, in front of the main door. Well, we tried to keep our experience as enjoyable as possible since we were celebrating my birthday we tried that the table would not bother us. Next the waiter did not show up immediately even though the place was almost empty! The only people that were there were in the bar and us on the main dining, the guy had a terrible attitude, it seems he saw us and made his mind to not give us a good service, such a shame, we order a bottle of wine, several appetizers ( to start) and two main dishes with different things on the sides like the red potatoes, aromatic rice, bread and butter, long story short, the waiter put, the appetizers first (gladly🙏🏽) second the sizes and at the very end main dishes, I did not have a problem with the order of our food but my family and I finished everything including the sizes until the main dishes show up we did not have anything else to accompany the main dishes, the food was the ONLY thing worth going it was delicious, too bad the front service do not appreciate it how to make it worth it, and at the very end after waiting for the waiter to show up( keep in mind he only show up twice, for the wine order and the food order, all the work the bus boy and a very nice bartender did it, and to bring the check the waiter makes us wait for the check, yes, make us wait for the check, having the check on hand he rather start cleaning the table than just give us the check, I don’t know what the problem of the waiter was, I never understood it, we have a check of $370 and leave $70 dollars tip even though the waiter did not deserve a dime, very disappointed with the service. Definitely we are not coming back at this place.
The house-made bread at $13 for three little biscuits was appallingly expensive, even when the price included butter.
Overall a good experience. We had a beet salad with a tasty yogurt and harrisa dressing. The trout was well prepared, and the red potatoes were crispy. A real plus was our server, Reggie. He had a good knowledge of both the food and drinks on the menu which allowed us to order successfully.
The food and drinks at this restaurant are great- it just takes a while to get them. If they could get the service moving faster, would be an excellent spot.

What a gem! The cocktails are inventive and also perfect! The food was interesting combos, well prepared and presented. our server gave us the info on the James Beard awards and also great service. I will go back.
A little oasis in a rougher looking neighborhood. The staff are enthusiastic about what they do and very attentive. The cocktails are special, using artisanal spirits where possible but always great quality. The food is fresh in a farm to table style and well presented. Delightful experience.
This is a favorite when we're in SF. Every time the food is different. And delicious. And creative. And the staff are lovely; they are poised and seem to truly enjoy what they do.
The mussels that came from British Columbia in a white broth was delicious. The salad with vinaigrette was extremely fresh and light with sweet tiny grapes. It all tasted very farm to table. The feel of the place is modern industrial and has a interesting set up. I enjoyed my pre concert meal.
We’ve been to Bar Agricole before and had a delightful time. It was my birthday and I thought it’d be fun again. As before, the cocktails were great and the bar and wait staff fantastic and friendly. The food selection seems fairly limited now and not good if you’re a vegetarian (one of us is). The slow cooked trout was too underdone and when we noted it to the wait staff they remarked that it was done though still looking quite rare because it was slow cooked. But really it was too glassy and inedible. If we go back, it’ll be for drinks and light bites at the bar only now.

Wonderful cocktails, beautifully remodeled space, honest seasonal food. Pricey but worthwhile - would definitely recommend to friends, even larger groups.

Bar Agricole never disappoints! It’s one our favorite SF restaurants. The food is always delicious. The outdoor dining area is lovely. And the staff is excellent!
We were guests of NWS and also on our wedding anniversary. Every dish and drink was amazing and we had a really wonderful time taking our time enjoying the atmosphere.
It was late afternoon Friday. Happy hour. They had some special deals on oysters and select wines. I didn’t have those. We had a glass of wine at the bar. Nice selection. Helpful friendly bartender. All the staff people were super nice. We moved over to dining and had charcuterie and a stuffed endive appetizer. Both were excellent. The breads and meats and everything down to mustard and jam and olives were exceptional. We had different wines by suggestion from the waitress. All were very good and in the $15-$20 a glass range. The place was getting more full and somewhat noisy but in a fun way. It was very relaxed. Really attentive service. Several glasses of wine and an hour and a half or so and about $200 including tip we sauntered out. I’d go again for certain. Maybe try the happy hour offerings to reduce the cost a little.
Birthday Dinner for my partner. Our waiter and staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful. The food and drinks did not fail to impress. Thank you for a memorable experience.
The service was awful. We waited for 1h for our entree and it never came, they behaved as we had already eaten it, so a waiter Reggie approached us asking if we would like anything else, but we hadn’t had any food, then said that the kitchen was busy, even though all the guest had practically left. Eventually we were served main course and then the entree. Really sad. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. They didn’t even dare to offer a free desert.
Love the menu simplicity. Great ingredients prepared expertly. Could become a go-to standard.
I’m amazed this restaurant is still open. They only had 2 main entrees on the menu: chicken and trout. We got a plate of awful salami for $37 and a plate of inedible cheese for another $12. They only have one of each brand of alcohol (one vodka, one gin, etc.). They don’t serve any sodas nor do they have any artificial sweeteners for your coffee because “it goes against their principles” - we got a pedantic lecture from the waiter. One of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. Don’t eat here.
