I am so happy that we had dinner here for our belated Valentine's - we got there early and they were able to seat us. We also got a table with a relaxing garden view and live music. The food was great, our server was friendly and we will definitely be back!
It’s my 70th birthday celebration—we already some small bites & craft beer pairings @ Hardwood Bar & Smokehouse nearby as part of the SF Beer Week festivities. After that we headed to Bar Agricole for cocktails and more small plates & light dinner. We had the cured trout, chatecutrie & cheese plate, oysters, empanadas, salad & the Manila clam stew& of course, honey cake & latte for everyone to wrap up. It was just perfect. The unique cocktails were great too —we followed the wsiter’s recommendations.
Very limited and unimaginative menu, terrible music and mediocre service. Have been to BA three times in the past 12 months and had a similar experience on all occasions.
The service was really slow. We ended up late for our next commitment because Dinner was 2.5 Hours. The food is ok. I like a lot more flavor in my food and thought they over used salt instead of trying to incorporate other flavors. The drinks were decent. My husband loves their old fashion. Their basic red wine is very light and I will not order it again if I were to go back. The ambience is nice and the outside patio is very nice.

There's a cool vibe to this place. The decor is industrial chic with modern touches. Start with one of the amazing craft cocktails. Then move on to some serious food. We all loved our dishes and we sampled things from a little gem salad to a lovely charcuterie plate to delicious, crispy roast chicken. Service was efficient and pleasant. Highly recommend.
My bridesmaids and I came to Bar Agricole after a very “trying” day of dress shopping and a poor lunch service experience. The moment we arrived we were greeted with humor by Tom. We were treated like royalty all night by many servers and got a personal meet and greet with their chef, Seth. The food and drinks were outstanding and the service made our “trying” day SO much better.

Great evening dinner setting. However, the service, particularly a waiter named Michael (long hair dude), was very below average. We kindly voiced our frustration in food missing from our order, drinks arriving very late, and no water refills. As we watched him bust his butt to service the two other tables he was tending to. Wasn’t even a packed house on this night. Very disappointing experience...especially celebrating a special occasion. Michael did not offer an apology but simply brought over the check and walked away. Hope others have a better experience than we did. Food is amazing! His terribleness did not take away from the chef’s work!
$12 for 10 thinner-than-paper half-dollar sized salami slices threw us. Way overpriced. The atmosphere was cool and the service was good otherwise.
The service was poor. They lost our order and it took a very long time for us to receive our meal.
The drinks are over priced and tiny so if that appeals to you....
They are trying to be more than they are. Charging for bread is ridiculous. $9 per little slice of cheese is too too much!
Have wanted to try Bar Agricole for a while. It came up short in a few areas. Depth of food preparation ranged from very good to lacking. For instance the broth for a crab soup was excellent, but the simple sauce for a yellowtail dish was heavy and almost too salty to eat. And beware, the spaces are large, concrete and loud. Service was generally good but had a healthy dose of attitude.
Excellent food and service. We found the bar a bit cold (temperature wise) and noisy but noisy (as opposed the the open table choice of "energetic") seems to be the norm in a lot of restaurants.
First time we'd eaten there. Really loved it. I was a little wary in making reservations, as some of the reviews complained about snotty service and uninteresting food. But most of the reviews were great, and we agreed with those. Five of us had dinner and the food and service were really good. The servers were all very nice, friendly, and helpful (for example, in explaining some of the items on the menu). The food is all fresh and simply prepared. And yes, the place is expensive.
Love the food and the spirits program here. The table service was a bit uneven. We were at a table in the back which was great for conversation. But we also didn’t get the service I would have hoped for.
The food was fantastic and the drinks excellent. Later moved to the bar and got a full on education about their spirits program. That was the highlight!
