Olives, nuts, bread, butter lettuce salad with pumpkin seeds, trout, honey ice cream with Meyer lemon marmalade. All delicious. Great service. Great wine. Very nice design of restaurant.
wonderful experience -- love sitting at the bar. food is spectacular!
Super impressed - quality food and excellent drinks. We had a wonderful second date.
* menu is dense and hard to read outside at night.
* burgers don’t come with fries (whhhhaaat).
* please review the outdoor heat lamps - my date was very hot (literally) on her side of the table. I sat on her side and agree, the temp was warmer than necessary. Thankfully, your staff adjusted then lamp without hesitation
All things considered: it was a perfect evening and I’m impressed with your establishment. Will certainly be back and totally refer you to friends and fam.
Easter brunch. The outdoor area is great. You would never know the street is right there. Also the food was really good. No complaints.
Lovely outside seating available with heaters. Food is fantastic and host was amazing too!
Waited an hour for someone to take our dinner order. I had to get up and ask if someone could take our order. Burger was salty and overpriced for what it was - came on a side plate with 2 pieces of cauliflower and a carrot for $20. I don’t mind paying $20 for a burger but definitely expect more than a burger on a small side plate. No one asked how our food was, if we needed anything else. After living in SF for 4 years, probably the worst dining experience I’ve had. Would not go back.
Very good and creative food. But crazy expensive. Fortunately my wife and I had eaten a late lunch prior to having dinner here. Because for 3 small plates, a salad and drinks we spent $185!
Delicious and creative food. Smooth and spirit forward cocktails.
In backwards order.
They served bloomed chocolate.
The burger was very underdone, not medium rare. It was very very rare.
The empanadas were just alright.
The charcuterie was, as always, fantastic. Pickled veggies are aces. Great cocktail.
Couldn’t have been more pleased with my birthday dinner here. 10 people, chefs menu, great drinks and 0 problems. A+
It took a while to get cocktails, the bread was excellent, though I will make a point of stressing how I despise this new practice of charging for it!
Great date night and dining experience. Fun craft cocktails and shareable plates!
All the food was fry and accompanied by fatty sauces we ordered 5 appetizers
Ate as a group of four for dinner and drinks. It was a cold and rainy night so didn't get to enjoy the outside but the vibe was still pretty good. The food was delicious and drinks were tasty. Service was so-so but definitely not bad - just a bit slow. Overall would definitely recommend.
Two person tables a little small, but good overall
Best Ingredient driven drinks and food in the city.
Great food, service and ambiance. Try the raw oysters, flatbread and salads.
Loved it! Service is great - food is light, delicious and divine!
Wonderful restaurant with outstanding quality food, service and great ambiance. First rate bar with creative drinks.
I am so happy that we had dinner here for our belated Valentine's - we got there early and they were able to seat us. We also got a table with a relaxing garden view and live music. The food was great, our server was friendly and we will definitely be back!
It’s my 70th birthday celebration—we already some small bites & craft beer pairings @ Hardwood Bar & Smokehouse nearby as part of the SF Beer Week festivities. After that we headed to Bar Agricole for cocktails and more small plates & light dinner. We had the cured trout, chatecutrie & cheese plate, oysters, empanadas, salad & the Manila clam stew& of course, honey cake & latte for everyone to wrap up. It was just perfect. The unique cocktails were great too —we followed the wsiter’s recommendations.
Very limited and unimaginative menu, terrible music and mediocre service. Have been to BA three times in the past 12 months and had a similar experience on all occasions.
The service was really slow. We ended up late for our next commitment because Dinner was 2.5 Hours. The food is ok. I like a lot more flavor in my food and thought they over used salt instead of trying to incorporate other flavors. The drinks were decent. My husband loves their old fashion. Their basic red wine is very light and I will not order it again if I were to go back. The ambience is nice and the outside patio is very nice.
Fantastic service, great cocktails & delicious food!
There's a cool vibe to this place. The decor is industrial chic with modern touches. Start with one of the amazing craft cocktails. Then move on to some serious food. We all loved our dishes and we sampled things from a little gem salad to a lovely charcuterie plate to delicious, crispy roast chicken. Service was efficient and pleasant. Highly recommend.
My bridesmaids and I came to Bar Agricole after a very “trying” day of dress shopping and a poor lunch service experience. The moment we arrived we were greeted with humor by Tom. We were treated like royalty all night by many servers and got a personal meet and greet with their chef, Seth. The food and drinks were outstanding and the service made our “trying” day SO much better.
Homeless gathering outside a turnoff but once inside lovely and an oasis of peace and relaxation.
menu is different to understand
what is a small plate and what is an entre, etc
serving size is too small
got wrong order
Great evening dinner setting. However, the service, particularly a waiter named Michael (long hair dude), was very below average. We kindly voiced our frustration in food missing from our order, drinks arriving very late, and no water refills. As we watched him bust his butt to service the two other tables he was tending to. Wasn’t even a packed house on this night. Very disappointing experience...especially celebrating a special occasion. Michael did not offer an apology but simply brought over the check and walked away. Hope others have a better experience than we did. Food is amazing! His terribleness did not take away from the chef’s work!
$12 for 10 thinner-than-paper half-dollar sized salami slices threw us. Way overpriced. The atmosphere was cool and the service was good otherwise.
The service was poor. They lost our order and it took a very long time for us to receive our meal.
The drinks are over priced and tiny so if that appeals to you....
They are trying to be more than they are. Charging for bread is ridiculous. $9 per little slice of cheese is too too much!
Have wanted to try Bar Agricole for a while. It came up short in a few areas. Depth of food preparation ranged from very good to lacking. For instance the broth for a crab soup was excellent, but the simple sauce for a yellowtail dish was heavy and almost too salty to eat. And beware, the spaces are large, concrete and loud. Service was generally good but had a healthy dose of attitude.
Excellent food and service. We found the bar a bit cold (temperature wise) and noisy but noisy (as opposed the the open table choice of "energetic") seems to be the norm in a lot of restaurants.
First time we'd eaten there. Really loved it. I was a little wary in making reservations, as some of the reviews complained about snotty service and uninteresting food. But most of the reviews were great, and we agreed with those. Five of us had dinner and the food and service were really good. The servers were all very nice, friendly, and helpful (for example, in explaining some of the items on the menu). The food is all fresh and simply prepared. And yes, the place is expensive.
Love the food and the spirits program here. The table service was a bit uneven. We were at a table in the back which was great for conversation. But we also didn’t get the service I would have hoped for.
The food was fantastic and the drinks excellent. Later moved to the bar and got a full on education about their spirits program. That was the highlight!
Team says they had a great time with excellent food and service! They expressed having some of the best conversations about work. Thanks for helping my team have a great experience.
Amazing food and cocktail selection. My boyfriend and I ordered an array of small plates for our date night, and also received a gift from the Sous-Chef. Everything we ate was delicious. From cheese plates, Yukon gold potatoes, and brined carrots: nothing was was amiss. My boyfriend loved the burger; one of the best he has ever had and he is quite the carnivore. We then followed up with the beignets and the apple tart. My boyfriend favored the beignets and I the tart. Both wonderful. Our server was Shandaeya. Extremely knowledgeable and polite. Another gentleman named Michael delivered a good bit of our food and was also amazing. In fact, every staff member we encountered was outstanding in their knowledge and demeanor. Congratulations to the Chef and Sous-Chef for creating a well balanced and amazing menu and the front of house management for hiring a service team of unparalleled quality.
Host was great. Good food. Space cool design. Wait staff was disinterested and cold, almost ruined the night. would try again though.
We had a terrific time at Bar Agricole this past Saturday night. Usually we sit outside, but sat inside because of the weather. It was cozy and comfortable, the food was excellent and our server was great. The portions are hearty and the flavors are bright. We will return soon.
