   A trip to San Francisco doesn't go by without a stop at this, our favorite, small family-run Italian place in North Beach. The food is outstanding. No huge piles of pasta. No mass scale produced food. This is lovingly created by "mama" in the kitchen. The impossibly thin pizza crust is something very hard to find. The tomato sauce perfection. Pasta in house made. I could go on. Skip the large and mainstream touristed places and find this sweet secret treasure.

   We chose Baonecci Ristorante to enjoy an authentic Italian meal. The restaurant was short-handed, which seems to be the norm during these pandemic times, but the staff did a great job taking care of customers. We started our meal with Bruschetta, which was very fresh and had a perfect balance of tomatoes, garlic, and basil. For entrees, we had the meat ravioli with bolognese sauce, which was absolutely delicious. Home made, as is everything there, with the perfect balance of sauce to complement the pasta. We also had the Arrabbiata, which was also very delicious, but very spicy, as advertised. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual. Definitely recommended for authentic, Northern Italian cuisine.

   The ORIGINAL pizza from Italy in USA. I have been walking around looking for the Italian experience in USA, but I haven't any success until yesterday. This pizza is exactly like the one that you can have in Rome, or, the BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD. Baonecci serve the best Italian pizza in USA, period.

   Nice family restaurant, with a good menu. We got the carpaccio, and two pizzas. Everything tasted good, and we enjoyed our meal, but it also didn’t blow us away. Liked the atmosphere and would come back.

   Hands down the best Italian food we’ve had. This place is owned and ran by a Tuscan family. One of the sons was our waiter. They also make the wine they serve. Prices are reasonable and ambiance perfect for all occasions.

   Everything we ordered was delicious we started with the brischetta and had the lasagna and the meat in pork ravioli they were delicious Would give this a 10 star would definitely go back the pizzas looked amazing thinking of trying a pizza the next time
