Visited Baoli for my 1st wedding anniversary. This place is beautiful. The low lights and candles make for a very romantic experience but the music and presentation given for those who buy bottles makes the place energetic at the same time. The food was delicious and not as pricey as Prime or Mr Chow but better in my opinion. The Salmon was cooked perfectly and the Truffle Mac was one of the best I've ever tasted. The handcrafted cocktails are definitely worth the price. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for an alternative to the spots I mentioned before. This is a great place for a romantic dinner, chill vibe with music or just to have drinks at the bar that's outside. Definitely will visit again.

Both the food and service was very good. The restaurant turns into a fun night scene with great music and energy. If you don’t like loud music and people dancing on the bar this isn’t for you. If that’s what your looking for then I suggest making reservations later on in the evening, like 11. Overall we will be back again.

The energy in this place is amazing. People are dancing and having a good time. That’s the only reason why I gave it two stars. The food was okay. And I literally mean that. Out of all of the dishes that we ordered, I only really enjoyed one. What really got me was the service. It was horrible. But I guess that’s what happens when you automatically put a 20% gratuity on top of the bill. The waiter seemed to have an attitude and barely checked in on us. We couldn’t help but notice that he checked his other tables more than he came to ours (he was a whole lot friendlier as well to them then to us). I told him in the beginning that it was my boyfriend’s birthday and would like a special dessert for him. By the end of the night, he brought us the check and completely about the birthday dessert, as well as even asking us if we wanted some in the first place. We still decided to order dessert because of the occasion. The bus boy gave us way more attention then he did and even checked on us. I really wish he would have been our server. I also really wish we could have gave him that 20%. This by far was the worst service I received on South Beach. He didn’t seem to care about us at all. For such an upscale restaurant, the service was low quality. The experience just sucked. Plain and simple.

Very pretentious place, highly overrated. The patio is nice but not great. The service is quite poor and mostly unpleasant to customers. The food was definitely not high end even though it claims to be.

I feel like we had higher expectations for this restaurant. Not
Only were the servers, inattentive, i felt as because we were young, they felt like we were not as important as other guests. You never know who you’re serving, or whom is related to who, so i felt like if they had known we were VIPS we would have been treated better. In terms of food, my stir fried rice tasted liked like it had been reheated, and no dish was “spectacular” let alone good. Very disappointed

The food was good, service poor and not very professional although the waiter serving us tried to be cheerful. What was really irritating was the aptitude of the hostesses at the entrance to be seated. Very unfriendly (for not saying arrogant) and, since they were late with the table, pretending to send us twice to the bar where a drink costs 25$. Baoli is good for having a couple of drinks and dancing but value for money at the restaurant is not competitive with the many other restaurants that you can find either in SoBe or Brickell.

We went to this restaurant with friends last month and had a wonderful time. The service was wonderful! The vibe was great! However, this time around I went on a Saturday night and the service was not as on point, not friendly or consistent. The vibe wasn't as energetic. We were sat furthest from the action, and in a dead zone. There was plenty of seating available closest to what could have felt a better. Not sure the logistic behind it, but we made the best of the night. Unfortunately I wasn't able to show the magic I felt last month. Perhaps next time

Went for a Birthday Dinner And Was advised there was a maximum 2 hr stay When I asked to just put in the appetizer order and wait to put in our dinner order. Specialty drinks were not impressive by any means-place was pretty noisy - servers did a nice job of bringing out sparklers with the dessert and shots which were very good!
As is the standard in Sobe a 20% gratuity was auto added but if people miss it they do have nerve to ask for an additional tip?! We paid over $60 ( a third of our bill) between taxes and gratuity I can only imagine if this fact was missed how much an additional 20% gratuity they would get from innocent bystanders ?! I find this Practice super shady!!
Oh and when asked if we wanted still or sparkling water and we said still they presented a bottle of Evian which I do not care for -when I asked for any other option I was quickly told no but I should’ve insisted on the tap because sure enough I was charged $10 for this bottle of water that I did not want! Our waitress was on the snarky side although more or less the service was acceptable but certainly not what I would call warm and fuzzy!

The whole staff was extremely rude, from the hostess stand to the bartenders to the servers. So rude, not friendly at all. Not even a smile on their face. We came last year for my sisters bachelorette and we left because the hostess was rude and the bar didn’t even acknowledge us as we waited for our table. I thought about giving it another chance and my experience was just as bad. Definitely not going back.

First of all the parking situation was bad. We had to park in a garage and walk to the restaurant. It was $40 for 2 hours of parking on a Sat. Night at 7pm. Then we can’t seen to find the front door to the restaurant. My family and I looked everywhere for an entrance. This lady that works there greets us and then takes us through this long hallway into the restaurant. We are then ready to be sat and the hostess informs our family of 4 that we have a 2 hour minimum to eat and order our food then we will need to relocate to the bar if we surpass the time limit. This was utterally ridiculous. Anyways. It’s a hot day in miam and we are all dressed nice. The hostess sits us outside in the horrible heat. So, we asked to be moved indoors where there are plenty of tables and a lot cooler. The server greets us and he was nice. We ordered our food that was way overpriced and our drinks that are overpriced as well. The food was ok. Very small portions for being so expensive. My husband ordered sushi and didn’t like it. The server didn’t care that he didn’t like it and charged us for it anyways. He didn’t even offer to change it for something else. We ordered dessert that was ok as well. And ended up leaving with a bill that was $500. Needless to say, we will never be going back here again. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant!

I have been here quite a few times but coincidentally in the past have never had to pay, this time was incredibly disappointing and I doubt I will be back.

Apparently, and this is according to the restaurant manager, no one gets paid anything in the form of a base pay, not even a dollar. Everything that anyone who works there makes is solely based on tips and the absolutely ridiculous "service charge" that they hit you with which is literally the owners milking every dime out of their customers to pay their own "employees" their pay so that they don't have to or whatever, probably another South Beach ploy to avoid paying taxes or the typical BS in Miami that they automatically add 18% tip regardless of party size which is flat out illegal because all the stuck up people who work there are mad that a lot of tourist don't tip so they stick it to everyone to make sure they are making exorbenant amounts of money that quite frankly they do not deserve at all.

I honestly don't know how they even get away with doing this but probably more importantly if this is the truth, which I don't believe that it is because when the manager walked away I asked the bartender if he gets paid anything besides tips he wouldn't answer me, why the hell would you ever want to work for a company like that?

Another fact is that it was incredibly hot out that evening and everyone who sat down immediately said that they wanted to sit inside which I originally requested but inside was just as hot.

There are giant doors that lead to the outside and they typically have them open but they should 100% close them when it gets to be that hot outside so that the people inside are actually cool. Otherwise it was the typical scene but everything else totally ruined it and I would rather spend my money many, many other places.
