Serving Chinese dishes and dim sum. Menu has pictures! They also have a bar with happy hour and drink specials.
Best Dim Sum on the West side! The happy hour here is a phenomenal value!
Love this place. Jasmine provided great service.
The foods is delicious. The service also good.
We like it. Thank you.
This had never happened to me before, but I booked a table at Bao for myself and a guest and although they had our reservation and arrived just prior to the appointed time, we went to the bottom of their list on account of having booked through Open Table! They didn't even try to disguise that fact... so after half an hour my guest and I left. I only filled out the prior page in order to let you know this - II had been going there for years, but definitely won't ever go there again on a weekend night... or maybe ever. The people were rude and it was embarrassing.
Although my reservation was at 4, I didnt get seated until 430. The hostess forgot that I had checked in. Everything we ordered was good, but I wish they all came out at the same time. If you're used to dimsum served in carts, this place isnt for you.
The server was excellent my family and I enjoyed our experience at Bao
Best Happy Hour😊
Very tasty! The dim sum is delicious and the cocktails are refreshing. There is valet service, so there is no hassle trying to find parking on Beverly.
Bao had all my favorite dim sum dishes. Like other Americanized dim sum restaurants, ordering was from the menu, not from a cart of dishes rolled through the restaurant. The dim sum was very good as was the service, but it was a little pricey.
We found it delicious but as we came by 9:00 p.m we had to hurry to order food and beverage. Too sad! Besides the head staff was professional and a bit cold. But the restaurant was so good it was worth it.
Great dim sum! Very creative dishes. Amazing service. We will return. A must go!
WITH SO MANY GOOD ASIAN RESTAURANTS IN LOS ANGELES THIS WAS VERY OLD FASHIONED WITH PRETTY DULL SPICES. THEY NEED TO GET NEWER MORE MODERN SPICES.
If you want good dim sum in LA, Bao is a good option. The food was very good and not greasy as at some restaurants. For those seeking a "traditional" dim sum experience where the food is brought out on carts for you to pick and choose, this is not the place for it. Everything is ordered off the menu, which has a fair but not extensive selection of items.
The dimsum quality was average. LA has a big Chinese community, this is like dim sum as imagined by non-Chinese restauranteurs. The food did not come on carts but had to be ordered, which was fine with me. The food did take a long time to come for dim sum standards.
Good was good. Really big selection and everything tasted great. Waiter didn't seem very happy to be there and was only going through the motions and bare minimum.
not as good as it used to be, we come whenever we are in town, the drink was mediocre, sent it back & the dumplings were just ok
Bao never fails...
Really special to not only find great dim sum but to find it available for dinner. Fabulous dim sum!
The food is really solid. Unexpectedly good Chinese food West of the San Gabriel Valley. Will be back.
Food was amazing! Service was a little slow but overall it was a great and fun experience. Can't wait to come back!!
Best dim sum I've had in years. Everything was delicious. Would go back in a heartbeat
The Dim Sum is delicious, no question. The chicken spinach dumplings are superb. Our waiter was super nice, sweet and attentive. The secondary servers were equally effective, not as friendly and social, but did their jobs. I had a great time and if I had any complaint at all, it would be that the hostesses (there were two) are not super friendly / smiling hostesses. I looked to see if it was just me, but they didn't seem to love greeting people.
Delicious and fun group dining. Well priced.
...this has the best dim sum in town. Bao down to this restaurant. We loved their chicken shumai and their shrimp stuffed eggplant the most. The sticky rice with chicken and sausage was a bit disappointing as the rice was not that sticky but was more soggy.
They also offer complimentary valet (plus) because it is hard to find parking in the area. The staff were friendly, courteous and polite.
Great food, wonderful attentive wait staff- Very reasonable prices!
Every dish we had was excellently prepared.
The crispy shrimp stuffed eggplant was just so good we ordered it twice !!
Great value & great service without a rush .....
We were seven people & tried many of the dim sums on the menu as well as some of the other dishes. The chicken fried really ce was excellent. While recommend this place to anyone. Will try & get back soon.
The dim sums are super fresh and flavorful. Bbq pork buns are to die for.
I went twice in 4 days!! Great service, everyone was very friendly. Valet is complementary. The food is awesome and affordable. I really recommend it.
Each dish has a great balance of flavor and was close to authentic in my books, and I liked the ambience
Love the complimentary valet coz finding parking in LA is a chore. Everything dish was good but my favorite would have to be the pork and shrimp shumai! yummy! The staff are very prompt as well.
The service was good! The food was fantastic! I dont have to go to Chinatown to have a good dimsum!
Great dumplings and chow fun. Kids loved it.
Bao used to be one of our favorite restaurants The service has gone downhill and the portions have become increasingly smaller. The noise level has also gone up to the point where we couldn't even hear the person next to us. Overall the dining experience just isn't as enjoyable as it used to be.
Always great, especially the Chinese Chicken Salad and Spicy Seafood Soup , so good you'll be back for more!! Tasty Dim Sum and then some!!!!! Esther is always friendly and does an awesome job!
Great Dimsum in a nice place! No need to drive to Chinatown.
They were out of everything. I normally like this place but the best stuff on the menu was gone
every time i go, it's so good! friendly staff and consistently yummy!
We tried BaoDim Sum on a wet and cold Los Angeles day for an early lunch. The atmosphere was warm, service friendly and attentive and most importantly the dim sum was plentiful, varied and delicious. Highly recommended.
