Bannock's honest approach to food is rooted in familiar, wholesome ingredients that are reflective of Canada's rich regional and cultural diversity. Dynamic and playful dishes like the decadent Duck Poutine Pizza and the iconic Arcadian Court Chicken Pot Pie are rounded out by a variety of other classic comfort dishes. The cocktail list is fun and cheeky, while the approachable wine and beer list have a clear Canadian focus.

The food was ok but not outstanding and everything was fairly overpriced given the small portions.
A friend had suggested this restaurant and we were so happy that they did! It was awesome, the food and the ambiance! What a great place.
Squeezed us in even though we were late. Food was good and nice kids menu. Loved the sundae.
Only had dinner but, brunch/bar area could be interesting as well as the outside seating area in the warmer part of the year.
Another great meal - Fran is the best!!
Interesting menu with Canadian flare.
Bannock has a really fun, inventive menu. Really comfort food at its best!
Overall very good, but the mashed potatoes and gravy were luke warm. Also the Chicken pot pie could have been warmer. The apple chicory salad was excellent, as was the service by a lovely young Welsh lady.
Great service, excellent food quality. Can be a bit loud, but always lively.
Server was friendly & attentive. Food was ok but not inspiring. Unique fare like tortierre was a little bland. Wine is way over priced!
The food, service and overall atmosphere was very good.
This was our first time here! The waiter was awesome and the food delicious!
Was ok. Not great
Claire was a great waitress and very attentive.
Stopped by for brunch before a matinee ballet performance. Brunch was delicious and I found portions to be generous. The "smoked and scrambled" eggs with smoked salmon was lovely with greens dressed just right. The breakfast poutine was hearty and tasty. However, it was the flapjacks that were the star! They are mouth-wateringly fantastic. I highly recommend getting them with banana, but blueberries are an option as well. I was a bit disappointed with the fresh juice options as they seemed to be out of several varieties. Service was good, and the ambience was nice. It's a good spot for anyone - there were tables of families, groups of friends, and couples. I would highly recommend, and would definitely come back.
Waiter wasn't that friendly. But overall good experience
Food was really good. Not to pricy. I would definitely go again :)
My mom and I had the avocado toast, and it was fantastic! The restaurant was good enough to accommodate my great-grandmother’s request for egg on toast, since she cannot eat very much.
Thanks for a lovely breakfast.
PS the pork belly was amazing!
Terrible food. Heavy and greasey.
The meatball was undercooked and too spicy. Our waitress took the meal off our bill.
I will not return
Our server was excellent at accommodating our request to fire our food all at once in order to make our 7:30pm performance at the Four Seasons Centre. Our drinks were delicious.
Pricey for simple fair
The service started strong, attentive and professional. However, once dessert showed up our server disappeared. Tea mugs arrived but no tea, so I had to fetch a server to bring it. I also had to ask for a second side plate and cutlery for the dessert. I then had to request the bill after a very long wait for it to arrive.
I suspect the server was on a break and while the backfill staff served the dessert they did ask us what else we were waiting for or what we needed. So we went without.
Sadly, this is a pet peeve of mine and I’m not sure we’ll be back if this is going to happen. Too bad, otherwise we have liked Bannock’s food and staff.
The spot was nice and clean and the server was very pleasant. My steak was a bit overcooked. The odd thing was that I wanted to swap the potatoes in my plate for something else that would cost exactly the same but the restaurant did not permit me to do so.
Expensive mediocre food. Weak drinks.
Not bad. Not the over-the-top awesomeness we’ve had at bannock before. Good service. Food was fine but not amazing as it normally is. Everything at bannock is usually 10/10. Tonight’s meal was a strong 8.
My wife and I were intrigued by the "Canadian Comfort Food" moniker for Brannock. We were not disappointed. After a long day of walking around downtown Toronto, we needed some comfort! We got in early (it is popular!) and our server was outstanding. My wife had the beer battered fish and chips and i had their Sakatchewan Lentil Stew. Both were wonderful. We shared an order of Poutine (it IS Canada, after all!) and my wife was delighted with it! Server recommended perfect beers for our meals. Our desserts were amazing! Will definitely revisit on our next visit to Toronto!
Great food, great location, great staff- what else would you want.
The poutine was delicious. The taro chips were a welcome variety to side dishes.
We had lunch and ordered fish and chips, which were really good. My reservation was taken on-time and we requested a table that is not in the center of the restaurant as we do not like to be in a noisy spot and we were accommodated successfully. Overall a great experience.
We originally had a reservation for 6 for brunch and were given a wonderful round table in a back corner which was great because I was with family I don't get to see often and it was a special brunch out. When we had one more person join our group at the last minute, the staff were gracious to accommodate us but we were moved to the least desirable location in the entire restaurant with views of only construction pillars outside on one side and only a full view of the open kitchen on the other side. The restaurant was empty when we arrived so this placement was not mandatory. I was very disappointed. I had chosen this restaurant because it was "Canadiana" (my guests were from the US) and although we went on to have some pretty good food, the ambiance was significantly diminished and did impact our experience. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant until the construction is finished.
Bannock was incredible! Everything was delicious and the service was awesome. Would definitely recommend and I’m definitely going back!
Food excellent, service slow, tables crowded, noise level excessive
This was a great place for my out-of-country guests who wanted to try Canadian food.
I had the fish and chips. Chips were nicely seasoned, fish batter was crispy, unfortunately when I got to the middle, it was not a flaky fish texture. Rather it unfortunately was rubbery and undercooked.
Excellent post opera comfort food. A bit crowded and loud.
First time at Bannock...you didn't disappoint! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We'll certainly be back! Thanks so much :)
Great place for a business lunch. Easily accommodates many different requirements. Fantastic service.
Good good and service but very noisy and hard to carry a conversation.
Bannock is always a great choice for good food and fantastic service. Special thanks to Fran, who is always attentive, kind and makes dining there a lovely experience.
