Bannock's honest approach to food is rooted in familiar, wholesome ingredients that are reflective of Canada's rich regional and cultural diversity. Dynamic and playful dishes like the decadent Duck Poutine Pizza and the iconic Arcadian Court Chicken Pot Pie are rounded out by a variety of other classic comfort dishes. The cocktail list is fun and cheeky, while the approachable wine and beer list have a clear Canadian focus.

Love Bannock.....I try to come here when I am in Toronto. Yummy, healthy food that has a farm to table philosophy
I went with my wife, her cousin, and her grandparents. I've also been multiple times with just my wife, before we were married. Service is good, not in your face. Food is a bit pricey but definitely tasty. There are high quality beers and cocktails, although I wouldn't call it the best at either. Both washrooms and restaurant are on the ground floor, and avoiding stairs was nice for the grandparents. The menu covers a wide variety of Canadiana themed dishes. If the duck poutine pizza sounds at all interesting, definitely try it. Overall a high-quality bar that reflects well on the O&B brand.
Went to Bannock prior to going to the Theatre. Food was delicious; my wife's Duck Poutine Pizza was simply outstanding, and more than she could finish (so fortunate to help her with that!). I had the pork shoulder tourtiere which was also tasty, but smallish, and unaccompanied by a side (with the exception of a few pieces of grilled cabbage on top) so felt the value on this dish is lacking; given it's the same price as the duck poutine pizza. Our server and service in general was excellent.
Was craving the Poutine I love! As always, satisfied me happily!
Nice ambiance, good food, good beer, quick and attentive service.
Staffs were very friendly and accomodating. Food quality was great, and there's nothing negative I can say about this restaurant.
The service was very good, and Bannock is a pleasant place to catch up with a friend. The linguine lo mein was tasty, if a little conservative in its spicing. Portions were on the small side. The butter tart was decadent and delicious.
The food was well-prepared, exactly as described and delicious! And the service was outstanding!
We had a wonderful experience. My pizza was crazy, two of us took some home
We had our wedding ceremony at City Hall across the street and after the ceremony we went to Bannock for lunch we had a group of 9 people with us. This restaurant I have to say was outstanding on there service and the food was amazing as well. As newlyweds they surprised us with a very yummy dessert specially designed just for us. I will definitely go back to this restaurant they did an outstanding job with making us feel special on our wedding day !!
Thank you Bannock for taking care of us! Xoxo
The food was really tasty with a quirky menu. The cocktails were excellent. The staff impressed by having a genuine personal touch. I would definitely go back.
Wife had been before with daughter and hugged me to go. Both raved about the joy of outstanding food in a casual atmosphere. Had a $200 gift certificate from our son. Sat on it for months simply because the area has construction and looked unappealing. Huge mistake on my part.
We went on Thursday after work.
Waitress was one of the friendliest and knowledgeable I had come across in decades. Both my wife and I agreed that our meals were absolutely delicious.
Kicking myself for not going sooner.
VERY reasonable prices such that we have almost enough money left over from the gift certificate to do it again. Yesssssss
Note also that they were sold out of two items we asked for. No big deal. Note also that it is casual. I wore Jean's n dress shirt and felt quite comfortable.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SPOT

Superb food and attentive service. It had been a year soccer od last visited and I remembered how much I enjoy the experience at Bannock!
We have dined at Bannock the past two years while in town attending a conference. Always good food reasonably priced. Service and accommodations for our large party were great. Thanks!
I've dined at Bannock what must be dozens of times a year. I'm frequently in the area and it's my go to spot for a nice casual dinner recommendation. The service takes it to the next level as everybody is super personable and kind. Always have a great experience!
The food was so so good. Be warned the servings are large and I as a fairly large size man could not finish my meal. However Fantastic Comfort Food
Our server Joey was excellent - very attentive and was able to accommodate all 9 of our out of town guests.
Everyone raved about the good, and it was overall a great experience.
good location, healthy food menu, the portion is not big
That Turkey burger should never leave the menu.
Dinner was fine but I don’t expect just “fine” from Bannock. Service was slow considering the low number of customers. We also tagged Open Table reservation as a birthday celebration but no one bothered to acknowledge it.
Absolutely amazing food. Waitress was great. Best meal in Toronto that we experienced. One of the best meals I’ve ever had, actually. The roasted chestnut gnocchi was amazing!
So impressed and pleased with our Bannock experience. We were celebrating my best friend getting engaged and wedding dress shopping. The bubbly I requested was ready to go when we arrived and Marcel, our server, was truly phenomenal. Knowledgeable and friendly, he made our lunch as special as it was. The food was delicious and we all left very happy.
Bannock's food is always good, but the staff is always what stands out the most. The waitstaff in particular all seem to be just wonderful people.
I could make a meal easily of the appetizers. Poutine was excellent - hint, add the pork belly and corn bread the best. Really enjoyed the mains - fish shrimp cake but was almost too full. Will be back.
Absolutely Phenomenal. The service was especially over and beyond. Our server Marcel was friendly, funny and extremely accomodating. Food was amazing...from presentation to taste. Would definitely recommend this place!
The server was really friendly and the atmosphere was amazing.
Delicious food , attentive service , wine too pricey.
The food was pretty basic for an O&B chain. Disappointed with the food and the service took quite some time. Which is ironic because at the end we got served the bill right away during dessert, but then when we were ready to pay, they took forever to tend to us. LOL!
We went for my wife's birthday and it was fantastic! The summerlicious special was great. We especially loved the peanut butter s'mores for dessert! Highly recommended! Great friendly service and delicious food. Good value for the three course meal and quantity of food was perfect.
Went for summerlious. Great choice. Would come again. Loved the service from the staff. The fact they asked if we had any allergies was really thoughtful to ensure people that if they had it, cross contamination could be avoided
Met with a friend for lunch. Food was really good and decent portion, and especially good value with Summerlicious.
Great experience always! Their Food makes me happy inside out 😀
I go to Bannock a couple of times a year, today the food was better than ever! May have to start going more regularly. Everything is so fresh and well presented. The specialty mixed drinks were tasty and innovative. The service (Jordan?) was awesome!
The one thing about this place is the noise level, you can barely hear your table mates and therefore difficult to have a conversation when there is more than 2 people. There is a lot of "hard" surface décor, maybe some sound boards or décor that absorbs noise would work. Not a deal breaker though, will be back!
summerlicious experience: food is quite salty and portion is small. But service was good.
Absolutely fantastic experience. As always the food was delicious. I can’t wait to be back.
We went to experience Summerlicious which always is a challenge when you only have one hour for lunch. Our waiter served us very well & his recommendations were super! Due to lunch crowds we never really have time to enjoy dessert which is a shame as the lunch is quite expensive. I tried the rice & hen's bowl which was quite good & my friend had the cod cakes with shrimp. One of the drawbacks to this restaurant is the noise factor is always a tad too high for chatting.
Went for Sunday brunch. All the mains seemed lackluster. We both got the eggs Benedict and they were both very salty; it was presented in an interesting way with the accompanying salad having pico on it. There was alot of potential and it was obvious that they were trying but the saltinessof the meal overpowered all the flavour.
Small portions, overpriced and underwhelming food quality. Very nice, quick servers though. With back windows open to the HSBC it feels like you are eating in a full service, food court; however, your bill will remind you it most certainly is not a food court.
Service was very slow but the food tasted good.
