Nice lunch spot - delicious sandwich, fresh, sweet fruit and quick service.
Dined at an off hour, so service was very attentive. Food was tasty & reasonably priced. We enjoyed our visit to the Bank.
Very poor service. Felt like I was at a state fair.
They seemed understaffed. We were there for about two and a half hours and waited about 45 min between apatizers and entre. My steak was over cooked but I wasn't about to wait another 45 min for a new one. Main dishes were cold. I would say this is more of a place for drinks and apps after work.
Awesome food. Loved the venue. Ambiance and music was great. We will be back soon
Bart was excellent, food was good, but there are some. ERY good options within a few blocks.
We had a lovely dinner before the Blue Man Group show at the State Theatre. As it happens the dinner was the highlight of the evening.
service was attentive and personal, lots of knowledge! food was incredible and drinks were very well balanced!!
We had a great lunch experience at BANK. Without even asking, our group of 7 was put in a separate room with a nice round table. This made it perfect for us to include the whole table in conversation. The table was large enough that we were not squished around it in order to fit. The server was attentive and friendly, and everyone enjoyed their food. We all decided we could make a meal out of the Buffalo Cauliflower. It is amazing! Maple glazed salmon was a big hit with some and the salads were all nicely sized, very good and very well presented. I had the club sandwich with french fries - both were very good. Our out of town guests were so impressed with the space - what a great spot for a restaurant. Great job BANK!
The food was very good, especially the soups. The service was slow.
We went there for a special occasion and were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service at the beginning was prompt and pleasant. There was an odd delay in bringing out the dessert and their computer system went down so we had to pay with a credit card the old fashioned way - handwriting the receipt on a form - it was funny and no one's fault. I would definitely go again.
Value for money was definitely a little questionable. I ordered the Buratta and tomato salad. Little did I know I was paying 14.50 for three halved tomatoes and a quarter cup of cheese. Two people at our table ordered the fish (same portion size). One got about ten potatoes on the side, and the other got two. Would not return or recommend.
Enjoyed but disappointed they were out of so many ingredients...couldn’t order a mint drink so I chose the Spicy Watermelon but they couldn’t make that either. The scallop stuffed walleye barely had any in it. The chocolate cake and our server Bart with the environment were are favorite things. The food needs to be better though.
Fries were not fresh, sliders had no flavor. Did not like the salmon. After the food came we didn’t see the server for 15 min or more. Just needed some salt and ketchup.
Great place to go before a Vikings game.
The space is beautiful, Art Deco or whatever. But, the food is just average, at best, and the service is not top shelf. The server was friendly enough, but there is a certain lack of professionalism that pervades this restaurant.
We had such a great wonderful server named Thomas! He was super sweet and made sure he attended to us! I will be back’
Great lunch! Took a friend out and we both enjoyed the soup and salad,
We all ordered the salmon and was outstanding. Our server was over the top awesome. Absolutely will be back
I visited Bank today for lunch and it was really bad food. I ordered the blackened chicken with wild rice and it was cold and tasteless. The drinks are decent. I am definitely not going back here and do not recommend it at all, there are better options downtown Minneapolis.
It took a while for the server to come over initially. She was very busy. The service was slow. The bar was backed up. Food came out faster than our drinks. It seemed the server did the best she could. Then she had trouble with our payment which took a very long time.
Night out with my husband and made the reservations. Neither of us have been here before and we were surprised. In reading previous reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect. We had reservations and were seated right away with food menus. Took a bit for our waitress to arrive, had to ask for the drink menu. We then had to wait again for her to return to place a drink order. We ordered the Tuna tartare tower and Chicken wild rice soup the same time as our drinks.....the made it out before our drinks. Mains ordered when starters came out. Really no other issues after that. Service improved, unsure if they were understaffed. Staff was friendly. Food was served quickly and hot. Rib-eye ordered rare was just a bit under in part, but very tasty. Porterhouse pork chop and hash was great, was not a fan of the apple-pear sauce, seemed like it was poured out of a jar. Overall good experience. Valet was very nice.
The service was outstanding but the food was terrible. My wife had the chopped salad which entailed mainly iceberg lettuce that was brown around the edges indicating that it had been "chopped" some time ago. The avocado was equally unappealing and other ingredients were sparse. I had the blackened chicken carbonara which was better - it had a nice smokey creme sauce but the chicken was way overcooked.
To our servers credit, he observed the poor quality of the salad and removed it from our bill. The decor of the restaurant was beautiful and the service outstanding but the food quality was a deal-breaker.
Soup and desserts were delicious! The mains were all average. Skip the steak.
We went for lunch during Bank's Thanksgiving buffet. The service was outstanding -- glasses were always filled and everyone, from server to the gentleman carving the meat, were very friendly. Only reason I give this a 4/5 stars is because the food didn't wow me. There was a lot of variety but the food was kind of bland in that it didn't seem to have tons of flavor. The raw shrimp was squishy, like maybe it had been frozen (I can't imagine it's really easy to get fresh shrimp in Minnesota in November though). Overall a good experience, and I'd consider returning for a non-Thanksgiving meal.
Very nice ambience, great lounge guitarist/singer. Food took a little long coming out. Apparently if someone in your group orders beer chicken it lengthens time for table to get it's food. Ribeye steak was ok but overcooked -- ordered medium and it was well done. Probably overcooked waiting on beer chicken. Chicken and wild rice soup was very good.
The high ceilings of old bank was a great spot for a business lunch of 4. I had the blackened chicken sandwich and was great flavor with a nice presentation.
Great food and decor. But way, way, way short of help, both before and after the Vikings game.
Club sandwich was fabulous, but soup was cold and came with "skin" on top. Service was slow ... both food and waiter.
Friday night; I was expecting this place to be busy, but it was very quiet. Friendly staff, good food selection.
We planned to be able to be there for an hour and half before an event, it took over 10 minutes to get someone to take our drink order, we waited another great amount of time to receive our drinks to have the server realize they weren’t correct and we waited again. We decided that we should order our food as soon as the server came back with our drinks which seemed like an inconvenience to the server, even though she was already at our table.
Your restaurant is inside of an upscale hotel, your service should reflect that.
Great location. But very limited menu. More bar seating that restaurant ambiance. We had steaks excellent and the twice baked potato was a nice addition. Side salad was expensive but nothing impressive. Soup was tasty. Drinks expensive but it’s a Westin hotel so not surprised!
It was great my server was very nice the whole open space feels like an art gallery and the chandelier’s give you a charisma of a don 10/10 will come back most definitely.
WAIT STAFF PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. WONDERFUL SPACE TO RELAX OR CELEBRATE.
Good food. Pleasant atmosphere and great service. Quiet enough for easy conversation
Loved all of it, will be back soon!!!!
Salads were outstanding. I have had better cuts of steak. But the surrounding and service were great. Desert was awesome.
The service was some of the worst ever experienced at a downtown business lunch location. We were seated and given water. Then the server disappeared for almost 30 minutes. Returned to take our order, and the food came 20 minutes or so later. Never checked back on our table of four post delivering the food. My entree was not as described in the menu, so I had to get up and return it. Explained the situation to the host, and he didn't seem interested in helping resolve. So talked to what appeared to be a kitchen lead. They did not understand the urgency of the situation. The server eventually returned long after we were finished eating to refill our waters, but never took our plates, asked if we wanted dessert, or asked if we wanted the check. We asked the host for the check, but he couldn't help, since it seemed he was going on break. Finally one of us got up to find someone to bring the check. Almost two hours later, we were finished. This was an utterly embarrassing business lunch, as I had partners in attendance from out of town. I've had good experiences in recent weeks here, but I can't take the gamble that I will have another similar to this one.
Very noisy and extremely cold (October, but snowing). We wore our coats the whole time. Our waiter was doing his absolute best running around like mad, servicing every table all by himself, but despite his best efforts we waited 25 minutes for our wine. If you come here at all, come to flirt at the noisy bar with drunk businessmen and watch WWF wrestling on the many screens. We came here for elegant dining and it was a serious mistake. This is a bar first, restaurant second. Even at 6:30 in the evening.
Service was slow, food was marginal and the cost was high. The location and ambiance was very good - traditional building.
