We went for a bachelorette brunch and the service was not good at all. We waited for 5 min just for someone to acknowledge us and then our waitress came outside every maybe 10 min and had zero personality. The food was delicious though. Sodas and tea weren’t free refills which was ridiculous. Won’t be going back.
Located inside the Westin the parking is difficult. We went just for a business lunch, and that’s what we got. Service was ok, food was good but small portions. The bar and wine list is great. Very clean, but nothing over the top. Lunch visit would be a good choice, just remember to find a place on the street to park.
We went to Wednesday Burger night. Buy one, get one free. The burger meal includes fries or salad. Delicious burger and generous side. Another perk on Wednesday is free corkage. The service was excellent. This is by far, the best deal in town!
Food was greasy. Subpar for price. No bartender during the day.
Staff was prepping for their New Year’s Eve gala and did not give any consideration to those of us choosing an early evening dining experience. They were filling and LOUDLY POPPING balloons not more than 15 feet from our table . Sounded like we were eating in a war zone. Very poor planning on their part. We finished our drink & appetizer, cancelled our meal, and left.
Did not feel welcomed. Low urgency to assist with our reservation.
Food was decent. Did not realize it was in a hotel lobby. Does not have a nice ambiance inside, decided to sit outside by the fire.
Been coming here for a couple years. Ken is a great chef and La Toque proves it. Some of this same quality makes it into the Bank Cafe and bar. Richard
Best hotel lobby restaurant /bar ! Stephanie is an amazing server and 3 words- lobster buttered popcorn
We like to go to Bank for the best Burgers in Napa. Good selection of other choices on the menu for a good casual meal. Great wine list and deserts
Completely empty It’s in a hotel at the lobby The bar service was good but the food service was close to an hour after placing the order with not even an apology Will be off the list
went for bogo burger night. burgers were very good, the bacon fat fries were awesome. was surprised with the service charge added to our bill. prefer to leave my own tip. left a cash tip anyway, im never sure what our wait person gets out of the service charge and she was very good. most likely wont return.
I wish they didn’t put sauce on the NY strip steak
Hard to beat the food. Duck burgers with fois gras, great beef burgers, pork chop, steak tartare - you name it. Cocktails are killers and the wine list can, if you wish, come from the Michelin starred restaurant next door. Great place.
Very disappointing and we'd recommend you look elsewhere.
There is a certain expectation when dining in the Napa Valley. The bar is set very high in regard to food quality, value for that quality and exceptional guest service.
My assessment of Bank is they failed in every area except service. Our wait staff was exceptional . Here are the areas Bank does not live up to the Napa Valley standard, IMO.
1. Food quality. We ordered 5 dishes. Each one was either bland or average.
2. Value. I have no problem paying for a quality meal, its Napa Valley. What I dont accept is sub-standard cuisine at a premium price.
3. Add on gratuity. A 17% gratuity was added to the final bill. There was only 2 of us, I can understand if we were a large group. I also didnt appreciate being presented this little surprise at the end of the meal and already added to the bill. Not good guest service Bank management.
Locals and visitors alike have a wide spectrum of dining establishments to choose from. Seek out those which can provide a experience worthy of your time and money.
The hotel lobby restaurant you should not miss.
The restaurant is inside the Westin Hotel so the place was not crowded at all. The service was so slow and we had to ask for everything 3x for basics like water, ketchup, jam.
Cafe latte was probably made and sat in the back. They served it cold and foam deflated.
Automatic 18% gratuity was included and we had asked them to revise bill as they charged us for items that we didn’t order.
Wish they would hire staff that would like to work there. It seems none of then cared and patrons were bothering them .
This is in the lobby of the Westin and I didn’t know that but the food was EXCELLENT! Duck burger with fois gras and a New York steak cooked to perfection.
Not for a date but a great place for lower key events!
Good breakfast. Eggs chilliquilles are very sour. Needs black beans and salsa. Egg white omelet is delicious!
By the way - I am supposed to receive 1,000 points for this dining reservation - WHY has this not been posted ?????????? Our server, however sweet was obviously not trained or maybe she isn't trainable - after asking about various items on the menu she appeared to be "clueless" and just didn't understand customer service - for a high level hotel property my expectations were not met. Food= just okay. It was a special occasion for my partner - his big BIRTHDAY - not even a candle on his brisket/burger - oh well !
The burger special is great, always a very creative concoction. The new dessert menu had some nice items on it but appeared to have a 50% price increase and crazy small portions. Sadly we’ll be forgoing the dessert from now on.
The service by our server Patricia was outstanding, I found I had ordered a burger that was too spicy for me. They took care to replace my meal with one that was Amazing! My wife had the salmon and was very good but her bacon was not crisp. I
was surprised by the 18% service fee but do to Patricia's over and beyond service I added a little extra to the bill. I feel Tipping needs to be optional or it does not reflect what the customer thought of the meal. I understand the problem of the government raising minimum wages but I would not mind paying more for the food to cover that. It the tacking on of a 18% fee that I do not like. I usually tip 25% for outstanding service and reduce it accordingly for and service or food problems. I would have liked to have tipped Patricia 25% but with the 18% fee already added I was only able to tip her 20% of the prefee bill. Overall I enjoyed the meal. But the 18% fee and mandatory vallet parking(yet another surprise) left me less than happy.
The food was good we had open faced Salmon BLT. The waitress was nice and returned frequently to check on us. This was my weekly date night with my husband. The warriors played that night and we sat in the lobby after dinner and watched the game. The waitress brought us coffee and water and we sat on the comfy coach. What a great night out!
Located in the Westin Hotel near Oxbow I had breakfast there as part of a business meeting.
The breakfast menu was a bit limited by still had some nice offerings. I had the Fontina Cheese Forager (mushrooms) omelette. Great Wild mushrooms, carmelized onions, and Fontina cheese Ingredients and perfectly done - it was a wonderful.
Breakfast entrees are a bit pricing but the dishes are High quality.
We were delighted to be able to find a brunch option for mothers day. The food was excellent, the prices moderate, close to downtown Napa, yet a little apart. I'd recommend they more prominently display their name somehow, as it can be confusing to locate (within the Westin) otherwise. All in all, a good value, even though set within the hotel.
Good food but the service is really slow
Love the 2 for one burger night! Its nice that they have great non-alcoholic cocktails on the menu. I'm 6 months pregnant, and it was nice to have the option of a fancy, and very tasty, cocktail style drink.
Delicious dinner in Napa.
Ambience was lacking since we were the only diners in this restaurant although several groups were at the bar.
We did get attentive and not to overpowering Service so that was a plus.
Food was well cooked and presented and all the flavors blended together perfectly.
Bread was warm and tasty, soup of the day (potato leek) was delicious and satisfying. Can highly recommend the scallops - juicy perfectly seared. But save room for the decadent chocolate creme brûlée- amazing
Would definitely go back if looking for dinner in Napa
Two for one burgers was totally over cooked and the service was terrible. Will not be back.
Bank Cafe can be a gem, it just falls a little bit short despite the obvious effort. Some dishes like the smoked salmon at brunch, grilled ham and cheese, and the chopped salad are as good as can be, others middle of the pack.
The food was great, no corkage, and popcorn with lobster salt for a great overall value. Be sure to double check your bill as ours had to be recalculated twice. This has happened on more than one occasion.
Bank Cafe is one of the best kept casual restaurant secrets in the area. The kitchen does a great job for brunch on hand sliced smoked salmon and espresso based drinks.
Food and service were amazing. Overpriced and server failed to given discounts/specials on the bill.
Very nice staff. Don't expect anything more than a hotel lobby restaurant, that outs all it is.
Great food, great service! Jessica was fabulous.
We sat about 10 minutes before we were offered menus. After we ordered it was 30 minutes before the waitress came back and said she gave us the wrong menu. She rushed our burgers. For the 3rd time that I have ordered a burger it comes out well everything time when I order medium rare. The waitress was apologetic and offered us a free dessert which we turned down.
This place was fine, not amazing and not bad. We had breakfast and it was just your typical standard dishes. Not much finesse but everything tasted fine. The staff was nice. Small things like the floor wasn't particularly clean under the tables next to us which was a bit unattractive to see while eating.
Great food but “very hotel” type of restaurant
Truffle popcorn and 2 for 1 burger night every Wednesday. Can’t beat it 👍
