Previously dined here a couple of months back on Christmas Eve and it was good. Tonight it was a train wreck. We had to wait well past our reservation time to be seated. I had to ask the waiter to speak up and not mumble.

It was not made clear that the only menu was for Valentines day, which was the day prior. Probably the best thing we ordered was the cheese board. $15 for 3 cold fried oysters does not cut it. The pear salad was bizarre. My filet mignon was dry and crusty. I had to remind the waiter to bring out the fries. Our waiter was clueless. Won't be going back.

We had an 8:15pm reservation and were seated 30 minutes late. The service was very slow and the waiter was snippy and did the least amount of work possible. The food took forever despite the menu being prefix. The only saving grace was that the drinks at the bar while waiting were great!

Went for Valentine’s Day dinner and the 2+ hour experience fell short in every category. The server complained all night he had too many tables to give us the attention needed, the ambiance was terrible, zero atmosphere, and when the food finally did come out it was cold and bland. Absolutely terrible from start to finish.

We did the prefix menu for Valentine’s Day. It was about $20 more expensive than it should have been for the food

Ugh! So disappointing.
The restaurant was very pretty. The food was not worth the price and not great. I have an onion allergy so they appeared to be cautious of what I could have. They told me the appetizer I wanted I couldn’t have. So I picked another one. Thought I was good until I noticed what I picked was covered in onions. So I couldn’t eat it. Thought my dinner would be fine because they didn’t tell me it had onion in it. Nope. COVERED in onions too. Luckily I could eat around them. At least I didn’t have to worry about dessert (which was small but delicious). They should’ve been way more careful. Portions were small, we were still hungry at the end of dinner and went to another place for other foods. Probably only coming back for happy hour but definitely not to eat again. We feel like it was a waste of money.

The server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was delicious (try the pork belly).
They have a really extensive bourbon list!

Wonderful experience. Drinks were amazing. A little pricey for brunch so having an appetite will give you the most value for your buck. Service was great and brunch seating wasn’t too crowded on a Saturday. Would absolutely come back for more bourbon

Filet Mignon and Brussel Sprouts were amazing, as was the cheese platter. Great value on wines by the bottle. Only disappointment was the oysters - really fishy. Bar was hopping - bartender made a great martini

WE were in town for a convention. THis place was convenient to the Convention Center.
Physically very chilly. We wore our coats to dine. Onion soup was dishwater. A taste of ham was nice but a rather ordinary selection. Meatballs and octopus were okay.
Chicken for 2 was enough for 4--but had no flavor. Would have been good for a salt free diet. The person who ordered the whole fish in a stew sent it back. Not only was it cold it was also NOT FRESH. Smelly off tasting dorade.
Best thing was the rye flight and the bourbon flight.
Convention was fun and we'll never be back. They did take the fish stew off the check!

Although the service was professional and attentive, the restaurant (surrounding the bar) was not at all condisive to conversation. I ordered the pork chop, which for some inexplicable reason was smeared with chunky jalapeno jam. Why would anyone do this to a pork chop? And the underlying wilted greens were accidentally (I suspect) over-salted.

Nice hotel restaurant with plenty of private spaces for dining. We arrived early 545 on a Saturday so it was just getting warmed up. By the time we left it was busy with convention people etc....Food was very good with a healthy flair to it.

I was severely disappointed. I ordered the soup, the steak, and the bread pudding dessert. The bread was good, but it was cold and hard and not served with enough butter for how thick each piece was.

The soup was good, the dessert was very good, but the steak was an absolute disgrace. I looked around at other entrees, and the salmon and chicken were both very nice portions. But the steak was 3 small slices of meat with 3 small carrots, and a tablespoon of cooked mushrooms. This is absolutely unacceptable. I get more food at the street vendors for less money. When I order steak at a restaurant for restaurant week, I expect steak - not the trimmings from a larger cut.

I have been to other restaurants for restaurant week, and have NEVER walked away hungry and disappointed. There is no excuse for this pathetic display. While it tasted good, I will NOT recommend anyone go there because of how disappointed and hungry I left.

Whoever decided to make this the main course should be ashamed of themselves. I can't imagine that a restaurant capable of paying rent for the corner of 12th and Market can't afford to give out more meat than that.

Do better. Much, much better. I'm disgusted that someone thought that was ok.

The menu for Restaurant Week covered everyone's taste, and the food when it arrived was excellent. It was a fun evening filled with good food and friends, we just couldn't hear our friends because of the noise level. We realize we were there on a Friday night, and it was hopping, so we'll just keep that in mind. We would certainly go back!

My husband and I enjoyed our meals at Bank & Bourbon, but there were a few gliches. My husband had a PERFECTLY prepared filet mignon. The one drawback to his meal were the mushrooms. Some were very tough, like chewing on a rubberband. His filet was served without a proper steak knife, and he requested horseradish sour cream sauce. Both were provided to him by restaurant managers who seemed to be circulating frequently throughout the dining room, making sure people were having a good dining experience. I chose three courses from the restaurant week menu and enjoyed the iceberg wedge salad, a perfectly seasoned and deliciously cooked trout over broccolini, and chocolate cake. I was very satisfied with my choices. On the negative side, the room was very noisy due to several large groups of people at the bar and dining. We don't begrudge them having a good time. My husband requested to be seated at an empty two-top table next to a window in an adjacent room so we could talk without raised voices. The woman who seated us told us that room was for larger parties. This made no sense because there was an empty table for two that we could see. It is not good practice to tell your patrons something that is not true, especially when it is easily verifiable. To the credit of one of the managers, he offered to move us. We declined since we had been seated for some time and had already been served drinks and bread. Our waiter was very friendly and professional. Food was served and dishes cleared in a timely manner. The overall meal and experience was very good.

I liked Bank & Bourbon, with two qualms. When I arrived for lunch on an uncrowded holiday for lunch, having made a reservation, I was escorted to the worst table in the place, in an interior section where no one had yet been seated, adjacent to a serving stations. No. I asked for one of the many better available tables and was immediately accommodated, but why try to fill the worst seats first? It's obnoxious, especially with a reservation. Also, the French onion soup had only a few shreds of cheese, not the fully browned top found in most restaurants. That struck me as just plain cheap. Otherwise, a good experience.

Food was solid but not spectacular. Servers were very pleasant but overall service pace was extremely slow. 1 hour 45 minutes for lunch. Most of that time was waiting between courses.

Great restaurant! Our meals were delicious. I especially love the salmon; cooked perfectly and seasoned with complimenting flavors. The service was incredible. Almost every six or seven minutes, somebody of staff stopped by our table to make sure that we were looked after and our drinks were never empty. I definitely recommend this restaurant as a place to add for date night for its overall ambience. Another satisfied consumer. 😊

It was a very fine dinner—one of us a la cart and the other restaurant week menu. Service was outstanding! We had a nice table by the windows. It was a little noisy but a wedding party was happening. Definitely worth another visit.

Attach am writing to you to complain about the dinner me and my friend had in your restaurant.

We were there on January 16th @6pm During our visit we notice a number of issues and regarding our meal and service.

Firstly, we were seated before two other parties who was seated right next to us but they were served before us.

Secondly, the meals we received was down right horrible. I ordered the filet mignon which was over cooked, dry and burned. The carrots was burned to a crisp...I thought carrots was suppose to be orange soft not blacken and crispy. My friend ordered the roasted chicken and she stated that her chicken was tough and dry.

Worst of all, our food was cold, the plates was cold which confirmed what I had stated above...out of the two parties who was seated next to us and came after us was served before us while our food sat wherever for God knows how long...

Finally, I know it was restaurant week and we was getting a meal at a slightly cheaper rate so, my question to you is, was the reason our food was as horrible as it was....i would think during restaurant week you would make sure the food and service was the best or at least good enough for people to want to come back on a regular day to experience the whole atmosphere and the food....well from what I received on January 16th between 6pm and 7:30pm I’m really going to have to reconsider even if I want to come back or speak anything good about Banks and Bourbon restaurant.

I trust that you will seriously consider my complaint and feeling and give me a reasonable explanation as to WHY our service and food was so bad.
is the letter I send to Bank and Bourbon.

Food was not bad but my steak was overcooked. Tasted great still. I was expecting more from Bank & Bourbon given the name and prior reviews, and it's not bad at all, but if it wasn't restaurant week prices, I don't think it is worth it. Butcher & Singer is the wayyyy superior steakhouse in this regards. That place has never disappointed me once and I have eaten there >5 times whenever I am in town.
