Great food, wines were good. Service was all class, enjoyable ambience.
Great drink list and selection of small plates. Nice lighting throughout.
Very professional and timely service and very solid food. The Mediterranean Bass was cooked to perfection, excellent seasonal salad and the bread pudding was the best! Fun, easy, casual atmosphere. Great location. I will return.
The pumpkin ravioli is very good and I don’t even like pumpkin pie!
We were seated right away, service was attentive and quick , and food was excellent.
Our service was excellent and our food was very good. I just wish there was 1 or 2 more choices for the
entree. When your diet makes you limited to make choices it is nice to have a wider variety to chose from. But overall I will come back.
Great cocktail menu. Try the cold fashioned and fist full of dollars.
Excellent meals and service. Will definitely visit here again.
Everything was perfect for a relaxing dinner experience for a date night.
The food and service were superb! We would highly recommend it!
The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
We went for brunch, which is a buffet with some a la carte options offered as well. We had to fly later that day, so I didn't partake, but brunch offers a bloody mary bar, as well as mimosas and other drinks that looked great! Buffet had an omelette station, eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, salads, fruit, and a wide selection of bakery items. Was a little bit disappointed that no one knew about the allergy when we arrived and they didn't seem to have great information at first. but then the omelette chef was amazing! He had great answers for all of our questions and was very knowledgeable. All around, a nice meal!
There seemed to be a lot of open tables but were seated right on top of other tables where people were already dining.
A great place with amazing food. The ambiance was a bit on the noisy side, but it was a Friday night! Service was awesome and extremely courteous. The drinks were incredible! Overall...an awesome place to dine, enjoy great food, and receive great service!
The service here is top notch, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. The food is excellent. Our table loved the taste of ham, squash salad starters. I also loved the pork belly appetizer. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The ravioli starter was tasty. The meatballs were crispy, but I would have liked a tad more punch in the seasoning. The pecan hand pies were great! And also the cake and the bread pudding were good. As usual the cocktails were excellent. The secret knock is still one of my favorite punches ever.
Restaurant week lunch so busier than usual. Lunch menu looks good and quite affordable ($12-15)
My first visit, but certainly not my last! The staff was friendly, helpful and served like they loved their critical role in the success of the restaurant!
The food and service were great! Definitely worth going to.
Had lunch today since I was in town for business. From the start, everything was impressive, and the restaurant week selection couldn't have been more perfect for a sunny but cold day. I will be back because of David's exemplary service and also all of those bourbons!
Did not feel that the meal was a good value. Would not recommend.
Our first time at Bank & Bourbon and the food was not up to standard. Ambience, service, everything else was great but the food was sad.
Service was great! Food was delicious. I really enjoyed the vegetable soup and those parm fries!
Overall, the ambiance of this restaurant is beautiful. I would describe it has high-end casual. The bourbon selection is remarkably large and features whiskeys from all over the world, including Japan. They have a very nice wine menu as well. We started with East Coast and West Coast oysters; I do not recommend the west coast oysters, as they were half the size of the east coast ones. Our entree was the 32 oz dry age cowboy steak with fingerling potatoes. The steak was charred to a crisp on the outside of just one side and created a very bitter, burnt taste that ruined the dry age steak for us. For dessert we had the pecan hand pies which were delicious, flaky, sweet, and a great end to our meal. One disclosure: my fiancé ordered a Maker’s 46 Manhattan cocktail and it was $16! Watch out for drink prices.
Maybe it was due to the Restaurant Week menu and pricing, but my husband and I were unimpressed. I should have known it would be average when I was able to get a Saturday 7pm table during RW an hour before. The restaurant never filled while we were there. The Squash Salad had mushy squash and wilted (old) lettuce. Both flank steaks served rare when we requested medium. The quantity was super small. Four slices of steak. One heirloom carrot and some green sauce on the bottom of the plate. The Taste of Ham appetizer was just that, two or three fatty ham slices, sliced thin- think deli ham, with two pieces of toasted bread and a plop of goat butter. The only thing we really enjoyed eating was the chocolate coffee cake. That was delicious. Certainly not enough to ever entice us back, though, not with so many fine restaurants in Philly.
Was a wonderful experience and the dining room was beautiful. The buffet had a great selection of food and service was spot on.
Excellent food and service.
Girls night out
We went for Restaurant Week, and while the food was pretty good, the service was extremely slow and not the friendliest. I'd come back and give it another chance, but it won't be my first choice in Center City.
Went for restaurant week, the menu has really limited option. The best part is desert hand pie, the service is good.
Pretty good root veg soup but that was followed by a dreary excuse of a main: an ahi tuna meant to be seared but gray in the outside served limp on a bed of green with some dehydrated shallots on top that seemed to be meant to dress up (hide?) a boring, lazy dish. Dessert was described as something more than what it was, which was a chocolate layer cake. Again, just boring.
The steak was good and the mocha chocolate cake was amazing. Loved the mocha crisps they sprinkled on top.
Amazing service, clean and elegant. Food was cooked to perfection.
Went for restaurant week and ordered the chicken. It was so much food I couldn’t finish, which is always a win in my book. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. Perfect. The potatoes were crispy like French fries and delicious. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere wasn’t too crowded or loud and you could easily hold a conversation.
Didn't intend on ordering the Restaurant Week Menu choices. Was more than thrilled when we did! Subtle play of flavors on all parts of the meal, texture contrasts, local foods that were fresh produced. Another amazing meal - thank you Bank & Bourbon. Love the in house-aged spirit Manhattan. A little smokey, but not too much! Dessert also had it's little delights of creativeness and skill (a lighter texture cake than the usual heavy chocolate, toffee in our pecan hand pie!) Wow. Your servers are spot-on and friendly. Always a great visit and food on the next level of creative, delish, but not outlandish. Vibrant night, so thanks!
I loved the atmosphere and the food was really good. My family and I had a great time.
We visited during restaurant week with my in-laws. Everything was excellent from the greeting to dessert. Portions were very generous for a three course meal but, were so delicious that we finished all of our food!
We went for an early dinner and the host desk personnel were very accommodating as we were early and had added someone to our party. We were sat promptly and received water (still or sparking options) and a bread service. But 15 minutes clicked by and no sign of our waiter, even after asking the man who filled our water a second time if he was our server. I went back up to the host and apparently, no one had informed the waiter of his "early" table. It was 5:25-5:40 and we were kinda tucked away in a corner. He showed up right away and apologized very professionally. And, I would say the rest of the evening he worked hard to turn around the poor start with prompt, attentive service from him and the whole team.
Drinks were well crafted and enjoyable, but it would have been nice to understand the the upsell he suggested on my friend's Old Fashioned (Old Widow) made it a $24 cocktail. Ditto for the subsequent Manhattan she ordered ($22). In his defense, he did bring us 4 starters/small plates on the house for us, which was really nice, but perhaps it would have been nicer to have 1-2 things we planned to order comped instead?
The pumpkin ravioli and cheese plate were our two favorite options. I would skip the Ahi tuna starter. I did not enjoy my seared scallops as much as I usually do -- they were rather bland.
I would give this another try, but probably not before trying some other options in downtown Phila.
I ate there twice over the weekend. Perfect spot for taking clients that were attending a conference at the Convention Center. Both meals were terrific. Service was fantastic & the ambiance great for conversation.
Creative and innovative menu, small plates options are excellent. Loved the crispy meatballs, the Burrta with blackberry casis, fresh baked sourdough bread, yum. Enjoyed the Dorade (fish of the day) and the pumpkin ravioli. Our server Edgar was great, very customer friendly with an awesome smile.
Came here for NYE and a 3 course pre fixe was offered. I started with the oysters - these were fantastic, I wish there were more than just the 2! My boyfriend had the lobster bisque and he said it was very good. For dinner he had the filet, which was cooked exactly as he ordered and I had the scallops. The scallops were cooked very well and tasted great, but they were made with something that tasted like a vinaigrette. It was just a bit "springy" feeling for NYE. For the season I was just expecting something a little richer or more decadent. We both got the sea salted caramel dessert, which was good. Service was fine.
