For many years, Bangles was one of our favorite restaurants. We went tonight and it has clearly gone downhill in terms of food quality and serving size. The service was fine and being remembered by the manager/hostess was nice but it could not make up for the disappointment in the meal. We learned that they have gone through three chefs in the past 7 months which probably explains the issues.
Bangles remains our favorite Indian restaurant in Chester County. The food is consistently good. The garnishes on the food and the decor make it a touch nicer than the typical Indian restaurant. The prix fixe menu is an excellent bargain and a great way to try dishes you wouldn’t ordinarily try. The fact that it is BYOB is a plus, IMO. Be aware that the food tends to be spicier than most Indian restaurants around here. We often have Kimmie as our server and, in addition to being attentive, she has given us good recommendations about what to order.
Food was good. They seat patrons at adjoining tables even when there’s plenty of room to have tables between diners. A little slow, but food was worth the wait.
This was my first time . The food was good . A little too spicy for me. However the rest of my party really enjoyed it.
My family enjoys Bangles very much. The food is excellent. There services is excellent.
Our waiter this past Saturday night was friendly, attentive, and helpful with the menu.
Worst service. happen to wait for >70 min to even get the right food on the table.
From the moment we walked through the door, we knew we'd picked a great place to eat. The staff were very attentive. The service was fairly quick, but gave us enough time for each course to go down! The menu was extensive and had a lot of vegetarian dishes. They are willing to cook for everyones' spice level. The noise level was nice and low. We will defintely be visiting again.
The food is truly excellent. Not only are the flavors delicious, but the items on the menu are not available at other local Indian restaurants. However, the service was exceedingly slow, with patrons to the left and right of us - who arrived AFTER we did - being served and checked on more frequently and more quickly than we were. We were also the only group without one obviously Indian member in our party. Coincidence? In any event, the experience was disappointing. Go only if you can bring along an Indian friend.
Everything was absolutely delicious delicious. Go with friends so you can try many things. The onion rava masala dosa is a must get!
This is the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Every plate looks beautiful and the freshness and attention to detail in the kitchen is phenomenal. I can’t recommend Bangles highly enough!
Very pleasant BYO convenient to movies and shopping. Food nicely presented. Could double check with customer on spicing, but we like hot. We were six happy eaters! Always a good sign to see Asian customers. They know the ropes
We’ve been going here since it opened and it is the best Indian cuisine we’ve ever had. The service is the tops!!
Wonderful food and helpful, attentive service. Everything was delicious!
I was very surprised at how good the food was. My husband doesn't really like spicy food but he really enjoyed his dish. I loved my dish and will be back again. Go try it out!!
The overall experience was very good . The food, ambience and service levels were good too . I would like to mention about the server Phani who is a very honest man who refused to take extra tip because I overlooked the gratuity part in first place. I must say he is doing a tremendous job and everyone should learn from his honesty and dedication.
This is an excellent Indian restaurant. The food is among the best I've had. Service is excellent and our waiter was extremely helpful in recommending items.
We enjoyed a delicious meal! We appreciated the "custom service" to accommodate on guest's allergy to certain food ingredients. The service was excellent. Thank you.
The only authentic quality Indian restaurant in a 30 mil radius of Phila not in New jersey. The food is wonderful and all the Nans are well made and it unusual to find fabulous Dosa which there are full array of.
Have been to Bangles several times. My all time favourite Indian restaurant. However was very disappointed with the service. Super slow service. Never experienced this delay ever. Highly disappointed but food was up to the mark.

We just love Bangles! Santosh, his family and staff make the best authentic food!
Hands down the best Indian restaurant I have ever eaten at and easily in the top 3 of my favorite places in the country. This is at least my third or fourth review of Bangles and one of the biggest compliments I can give this place is regarding their consistency. Every single meal I have had here has been excellent with the use of high quality, fresh ingredients. I recently relocated to Florida so a stop at Bangles is a must when I'm visiting home. The Bhel Puri and Gobi Manchurian remain my favorite appetizers while the Murgh Makhani and Chicken Chettinad are my go to entrees.
Great restaurant! Uday was fantastic as our server! The entire staff was helpful, attentive to our needs and gave great suggestions when asked. We will definitely be back!
We went here for the first time on my husband's birthday. We were early but there was only two other couples in the restaurant so we had it pretty much to ourselves. The server took time to share with us what the options were and that we could change anything we liked. We ordered the chef's tasting menu or three plates for $27. We both were impressed with the excellent choices and the food was incredible. It was beautifully prepared, gorgeous plates and deliciously different spices and flavors. The brought a dessert plate with a candle for my husband and it was a frozen orange creamy ?? with cardamom - something I have never tasted before and yet crave even now. We will definitely be back and hope that more people discover this neighborhood gem so they get the attention and customers they deserve.
Soup was served in a damaged bowl, restaurant was very noisy looks like there was a party going on
Have the buffet ready on time. It was not ready 11:30am when it opens and we had reservation at 11:30am
Authentic Indian cuisine with some spicy favorites; Curry Leaf Fried Chicken, Gobi Manchurian (Cauliflower) and Lamb Pepper Fry. Yum
The service was the worst. It took them 40 Minutes before the Appetizer showed up. When the dinner showed 1hr after ordering, we got one order and the other order took another 10 minutes arrive. Food is good but the service plainly sucks.
Really enjoy this restaurant. Food is very spicy and exotic. Care is taken in presentation and service is excellent. Really fortunate to have them in our town.
We went there on Valentine's Day and loved the ambience. Service was really good and the food was awesome. Would recommend to anyone who loves Indian cuisine.
Omar was a great waiter and he was really helpful.
The food here is always excellent: authentic south indian cuisine. The dosas are perfect, and sambar is simply delicious! The weekend lunch buffet used to be slightly better before: for example, the vegetarian dry vegetables or two that they used to have were missing, as were the vadas, last weekend from the spread. Also, the noodles were WAY too spicy to be eaten even by an adult, let alone children. In the past, the spice level has always been mild/perfect, so please take care and go back to this. If even one dish is over-spicy like this, it reduces options for vegetarians. We just ended up ordering a la carte, which was excellent.
Don't be fooled by the location...the food is fantastic. Definitely some of the best Indian cuisine I have had in the area at a reasonable price.
Food is really tasty. Nothing bland here--lots of spice! Waiter was helpful in menu selections. Food came out so fast, we were finished within 30 minutes! Would have liked a more leisurely pace. But everything was delicious.
Excellent food. Tried lots of different dishes and all were great. Planning to go back next week.
Bangles has the best Indian food in our experience. The lunch buffet is great. The dinner menu is off the charts!! Highly recommended.
Delicious and consistent
Food was very tasty and service was excellent!!!
Bangles is probably the most consistent restaurant that I have ever eaten at. This is at least the tenth time that I have been here and, aside from some of the menu changing, the quality of food and ingredients has been extremely consistent. This is hands down my favorite place in the area and by "place" I don't just mean Indian restaurant. I mean my favorite restaurant to eat at in general. The scallop appetizer is fantastic but my favorite thing on the menu is the Bhel Puri so if you're new to Bangles and are looking for something to try I highly recommend that as well as the Gobi Manchurian if you like spicy food. The Aloo Papdi is amazing as well.
We went specifically for the dosa, which was spicy and delicious. However, the coconut chutney seemed watered down, and the tomato chutney a tad too sweet. We enjoyed the papadums on the table but found the weird glop of what they called onion chutney just off and not adding to the flavor of the papadum. The price for the daha wada was high for just one, granted it was a huge dahi wada. It was delicious, but perhaps 3 or 4 smaller ones would have been nice for the table to share. All in all, we enjoyed our meal, but I would not drive out of my way to eat here. Also the servers were not terribly familiar with the food.
Very creative aindian cuisine. Not the same old, and it was all very well described in the menu. Service was warm and friendly, and very efficient. I would rank this as one if the best aindian Restaurqnts I have ever been to.
