Amazing flavors. Much more nuanced than the typical North Indian restaurant. The saag and lamb were amazing.
It was an amazing experience. My team enjoyed the food and the place
We love everything here. The Dahi Vadi is almost too pretty to eat. Almost....
As always everything was outstanding.
Elegant atmosphere with a modern twist. Our waiter was attentive and helpful describing dishes and making suggestions. Service was fast but relaxed. Food was fresh and delicious. Recommend the Samosas, the Mango lassi and the coconut curry chicken! Great place to go with friends and share.
1st time at Bangles. It was delectable. The waiters were polite and informative. It's not a restaurant to rush your meal but to savor the feast before you and this is the relaxed atmosphere you will find. The restaurant is pretty but a touch somber in decor. Nice look for a date or an elegant meal. However it also seems like a good family spot since that was the bulk of their customers. Crispy cumin seed fried bread/crackers? (Sorry; I don't know their proper name) were brought to the table with a rich onion cutney. We started with the samosas. They were huge! So large we had to cut them to eat them. Their exteriors were nice and crisp with a smooth savory inside which ended in a very small amount of heat. They were served with two sauces: a pleasantly sour tamarind and a creamy and spicy dip whose name I missed. I got their corn and curry leaf soup. It was amazing! Easily in the top 3 soups I've ever eaten. It was thick and smooth with a creamy finish from the coconut milk. Every once in a while you'd get a piece of roasted corn adding a perfect bright note to the mix. I got paper thin masala dosa as my main. Having never experienced dosa before I wasn't expecting the monster sized crepe like dish that came out of the kitchen. It was very impressive. Nice and crispy; especially around the edges, it had a rich taste of clarified butter. It was served with sambar, potato masala, tomato chutney, and coconut chutney. My friend got paneer makhani; which is homemake cheese cubed in a thick spicy yet creamy tomato soup, and garlic naan. Having tasted her meal; I know what I'm getting next time. Both meals were delicious, large, and more than worth the price (we spent about 50 in total and this included tea and rice which I didn't mention above). We each left with a bag of left overs. My only 2 minor complaints would be that it was very cold and that the waiters need to speak just a little louder; they were a bit hard to hear. But I will happily return (with a sweater).
Appetizers and main dishes were very flavorful with fresh ingredients. Service was very attentive. BYOB is a plus. Will definitely go back to try other dishes.
This restaurant in a shopping center has no curb appeal. But inside it was comfortable and tastefully decorated. We were warmly greeted, and received attentive service. The food was exceptional, authentic Indian food. Having eaten in several Indian restaurants over the years I would say that this was by far the best!
Very disappointed. We were here about a year ago and thoroughly enjoyed everything. On this visit the food was subpar the staff confused. Three out of four dishes were dry and unappealing
( pepper lamb, biryani with chicken and samosas) . the biryani was a plate of enough rice to feed five people but hardly any chicken much less the spice our server cautioned us about.
Never going back.
We arrived a little late and felt very rushed to order and finish dinner. We were also wrongly informed about the plate proportion and ended up ordering a lot more than we needed. The place is beautiful and food is pretty good. We were hoping to get more authentic food for the price, however, the americanization of the dishes was still apparent although not as much as seen in other places.
For many years, Bangles was one of our favorite restaurants. We went tonight and it has clearly gone downhill in terms of food quality and serving size. The service was fine and being remembered by the manager/hostess was nice but it could not make up for the disappointment in the meal. We learned that they have gone through three chefs in the past 7 months which probably explains the issues.
Bangles remains our favorite Indian restaurant in Chester County. The food is consistently good. The garnishes on the food and the decor make it a touch nicer than the typical Indian restaurant. The prix fixe menu is an excellent bargain and a great way to try dishes you wouldn’t ordinarily try. The fact that it is BYOB is a plus, IMO. Be aware that the food tends to be spicier than most Indian restaurants around here. We often have Kimmie as our server and, in addition to being attentive, she has given us good recommendations about what to order.
Food was good. They seat patrons at adjoining tables even when there’s plenty of room to have tables between diners. A little slow, but food was worth the wait.
This was my first time . The food was good . A little too spicy for me. However the rest of my party really enjoyed it.
My family enjoys Bangles very much. The food is excellent. There services is excellent.
Our waiter this past Saturday night was friendly, attentive, and helpful with the menu.
Worst service. happen to wait for >70 min to even get the right food on the table.
From the moment we walked through the door, we knew we'd picked a great place to eat. The staff were very attentive. The service was fairly quick, but gave us enough time for each course to go down! The menu was extensive and had a lot of vegetarian dishes. They are willing to cook for everyones' spice level. The noise level was nice and low. We will defintely be visiting again.
The food is truly excellent. Not only are the flavors delicious, but the items on the menu are not available at other local Indian restaurants. However, the service was exceedingly slow, with patrons to the left and right of us - who arrived AFTER we did - being served and checked on more frequently and more quickly than we were. We were also the only group without one obviously Indian member in our party. Coincidence? In any event, the experience was disappointing. Go only if you can bring along an Indian friend.
Everything was absolutely delicious delicious. Go with friends so you can try many things. The onion rava masala dosa is a must get!
This is the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Every plate looks beautiful and the freshness and attention to detail in the kitchen is phenomenal. I can’t recommend Bangles highly enough!
Very pleasant BYO convenient to movies and shopping. Food nicely presented. Could double check with customer on spicing, but we like hot. We were six happy eaters! Always a good sign to see Asian customers. They know the ropes
We’ve been going here since it opened and it is the best Indian cuisine we’ve ever had. The service is the tops!!
Wonderful food and helpful, attentive service. Everything was delicious!
I was very surprised at how good the food was. My husband doesn't really like spicy food but he really enjoyed his dish. I loved my dish and will be back again. Go try it out!!
The overall experience was very good . The food, ambience and service levels were good too . I would like to mention about the server Phani who is a very honest man who refused to take extra tip because I overlooked the gratuity part in first place. I must say he is doing a tremendous job and everyone should learn from his honesty and dedication.
This is an excellent Indian restaurant. The food is among the best I've had. Service is excellent and our waiter was extremely helpful in recommending items.
We enjoyed a delicious meal! We appreciated the "custom service" to accommodate on guest's allergy to certain food ingredients. The service was excellent. Thank you.
The only authentic quality Indian restaurant in a 30 mil radius of Phila not in New jersey. The food is wonderful and all the Nans are well made and it unusual to find fabulous Dosa which there are full array of.
Have been to Bangles several times. My all time favourite Indian restaurant. However was very disappointed with the service. Super slow service. Never experienced this delay ever. Highly disappointed but food was up to the mark.
We just love Bangles! Santosh, his family and staff make the best authentic food!
Hands down the best Indian restaurant I have ever eaten at and easily in the top 3 of my favorite places in the country. This is at least my third or fourth review of Bangles and one of the biggest compliments I can give this place is regarding their consistency. Every single meal I have had here has been excellent with the use of high quality, fresh ingredients. I recently relocated to Florida so a stop at Bangles is a must when I'm visiting home. The Bhel Puri and Gobi Manchurian remain my favorite appetizers while the Murgh Makhani and Chicken Chettinad are my go to entrees.
Great restaurant! Uday was fantastic as our server! The entire staff was helpful, attentive to our needs and gave great suggestions when asked. We will definitely be back!
We went here for the first time on my husband's birthday. We were early but there was only two other couples in the restaurant so we had it pretty much to ourselves. The server took time to share with us what the options were and that we could change anything we liked. We ordered the chef's tasting menu or three plates for $27. We both were impressed with the excellent choices and the food was incredible. It was beautifully prepared, gorgeous plates and deliciously different spices and flavors. The brought a dessert plate with a candle for my husband and it was a frozen orange creamy ?? with cardamom - something I have never tasted before and yet crave even now. We will definitely be back and hope that more people discover this neighborhood gem so they get the attention and customers they deserve.
Soup was served in a damaged bowl, restaurant was very noisy looks like there was a party going on
Have the buffet ready on time. It was not ready 11:30am when it opens and we had reservation at 11:30am
Authentic Indian cuisine with some spicy favorites; Curry Leaf Fried Chicken, Gobi Manchurian (Cauliflower) and Lamb Pepper Fry. Yum
The service was the worst. It took them 40 Minutes before the Appetizer showed up. When the dinner showed 1hr after ordering, we got one order and the other order took another 10 minutes arrive. Food is good but the service plainly sucks.
Really enjoy this restaurant. Food is very spicy and exotic. Care is taken in presentation and service is excellent. Really fortunate to have them in our town.
We went there on Valentine's Day and loved the ambience. Service was really good and the food was awesome. Would recommend to anyone who loves Indian cuisine.
Omar was a great waiter and he was really helpful.
