Bangkok Thai on Main Ratings and Reviews
Dinner was fantastic. Chaeng our server was wonderful and so kind to our son. We didn’t love the dumplings but the soup and three entrees (Panang, Masaman, and Fried Shrimp/Chicken) were excellent. We will definitely be back on our next vacation to Park City.
A great find in busy Park City! We did the tasting menu and were wowed by the taste and portion sizes. Not like our Thai food at home, flavors were fresh and lighter, not heavy sauces. You can really taste the main ingredient. A bit pricey, but so is everything else in this town. At least we feel we got our money’s worth! Service was outstanding as well
Celebrated my birthday there for the fifty year in a row - this year service was incredibly poor, only outdone by the rudeness of the manager. Customer service is not something he appears to be concerned about. Although I have recommended this place to many people coming to Park City, the current management and service is not worthy of another visit. There are so many great dining experiences in Park City. This is not one of them. I left my card for the owner to call me - I will be surprised if I hear from anyone there. They don't seem to care about customers.
We visited this restaurant while on vacation after Christmas. The food was average to poor. The calamari was over-cooked and rubbery. The pad thai was average best, and was the highlight of the meals. The green curry was again, average. Finally, the grilled chicken was nearly inedible. We appreciated having a non-thai option for our 12 - year old, but it was utterly flavorless and painfully overlooked. The waitress, while pleasant, was painfully slow and absent for much of our meal. An unfortunate end to what we hoped would be a good dining experience.
We reserved a table and make sure to call and ask that there would be space for stroller at the table. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told that they would not be able to accommodate our request. There are multiple better options near by that are not Thai Food. I think this restaurant has gotten sloppy and lazy because they feel like because they are on Main Street in Park City and there are not many Thai restaurants that they can cut corners. Would not recommend this place.
Came here to celebrate our engagement. The food was fantastic. Pricey at first glance but the portions are massive and designed to be shared family-style. Everything we had was well-balanced and delicious. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, helpful, and a genuinely nice guy. The restaurant was very busy yet our food came out quickly and was delicious. We’ll be back.
Wonderful experience when you are ready for something other than steak in town. Our server Chaang was wonderful. Salmon and sea bass were excellent. Should serve more veggies with salmon panang. Also, rice doesn't come with some of the entrees, which just doesn't seem right with Thai.
The last time we visited Bangkok Thai was in 2007 and I have to say not much has changed. The decor may be getting a little tired but the food was excellent. Even the green tea, which was served in a metal pot over a votive candle to keep it hot, was especially good.
The food was amazing . I would personally recommend the Cod with Thai Chili Sauce. Great cocktail selections. The mango Mai Thai with 151 Rum also a personal fave. Should you have the wonderful opportunity to eat here, ask for Dumitri, if possible. He was accommodating and attentive, and a bit of a wit. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
The restaurant was whoafully understaffed on our visit resulting in a less than wonderful experience. The food was fine. Not great, but passable. The service was horrendous.
Customers without reservations were turned away from an empty restaurant. Tables that were vacated remained uncleared for our entire visit. The patron at the table next to us had to hunt down a waiter to pay his bill after waiting more than 10 minutes after being given boxes for their leftovers for the waiter to come back with a check.
Our dinner at Thai on Main took twice as long as it should have. If there was a reason for the snail like service, our server never informed us.
