Bangkok Thai & Sushi Ratings and Reviews
Quite a nice place tucked away. Service was fabulous; attentive and they respected our privacy. My friend and I shared the crab Rangoon, I had the fantasy roll and it might have been my favorite roll ever, my friend who doesn't branch out of her conform zone very often went with shrimp fried rice (as usual). She said it was very good. I tried it too and really enjoyed it--they were generous with their shrimp!
Been there before but this is the first time that I used open table reservation to book. When I got there and showed them my reservation confirmation email , the pleasant server did not know what it is. When I told her that you gained points from using open table. She asked her 2 co-workers and was informed that they do not offer any point systems. Their manager was not on site. I had to email open table when I got home to ask if they would give me the points since the people who work at this restaurant had no idea what I was talking about.
The overall dining was quite good. The best expectation is in the value. While the ambience was very good it was also practical. This is not an over the top dining experience rather expect good value & selection .
We went with the sushi boat with warm sake and Asahi dry.
We went there for my daughter's 26th birthday. 1st 5 people 2 menus (told they didn't have enough). 2nd drinks took forever. 3rd I had to go to the bar to get straws for the lady's drinks. 4th I had to get up get refills for all the water glasses at the table not once but twice. It's a nice place with good food but I'd stay away unless you have all night for dinner
We went here on Valentine's day. It was very cold and the restaurant was very cold as well. The staff was kind enough to bring out heaters. I don't blame the restaurant for being that cold inside. Just a bad location. Food was very good. I had the drunken noodles.
While you don't usually need a reservation, I do continue to make them, as there have been times where there has been a wait. The food is great, they change up the menu every so often, and do have a new menu established. The food was great, a little slow on service this time, but not too long. Overall a nice visit.
Don't count out this restaurant because it's in a strip mall; the food and the ambiance are both fabulous. My husband and I truly enjoyed our first visit to Bangkok Thai & Sushi. We had a couple of appetizers in addition to our entrees. We hadn't had crab rangoon this terrific in years! And the spring rolls were light, crispy, and full of flavor. My husband had the pad thai, and I had green curry, which was a special that night. We also enjoyed their generous, reasonably priced wine by the glass. There is also a cozy bar apart from the dining tables. While we are not into sushi, I did notice that the Japanese menu seemed quite extensive. Perhaps I'll try a roll or two on our next visit, which won't be far in the future!
We went on a Saturday night with reservations for 6:00. Our waiter,Tony, was very efficient and friendly. We ordered a Sushi dish and an entree. It appeared that every patron was ordering the Sushi Boat which requires a great deal of preparation. The Sushi chef gave the Boats his priority. We had waited 35 minutes, and still no Sushi for us. I was concerned our entree would be done before our sushi, so Tony apologized and went over to talk to the Shushi Chef. Tony brought us over complimentary Spring Rolls until our sushi was finished. We really didn't mind the wait as we are Seniors, but most people would not be as patient. Our entrees were very good and generous.
