Banchetto Feast - Nanuet Ratings and Reviews
I love Banchetto but was a little underwhelmed with the chicken Madeira. It had no mushrooms and the sauce was bland. It was still good, just not what I expected. My daughter had the lasagna, which she liked. Service was terrific. Will definitely be back soon. It’s my new favorite restaurant!
We had a business dinner for approximately 11 people, the table setting and noise level were fine for discussion, the only issue was the slow service, particularly after placing our order. The restaurant was not busy but it seemed to take quite some time before the food was served; what was particularly disappointing was once the first meals came out, it took almost 10 minutes for everyone to get their meal, there was probably a 5 minute gap in waiting for the last 4 meals. The food was good, but the delivery time significantly distracted from the experience. We have had other business dinners there in the past without issue, but I would be hesitant to bring a business group there again.
Food is very good. My favorite is the salmon and crabmeat - very tasty. They ran out of short rib, which was disappointing to the two people in our party who ordered it. The chef came out and apologized and offered to give it to us on the house the next time we came. Didn't give us a card or any kind of letter, so we'll see how we can actually get it. Server seemed to disappear after she gave us the dessert menus. It took a while before we got our dessert. Overall, a good experience.
We've been bringing our family here for years and this is the first time I have to give a less than favorable review, but the experience did not justify the increased costs for our party of 7. Our waiter was great but there was obviously a problem in the kitchen and the meals all came late and not together. My chicken was thin and skimpy and the burgers were not up to par. We were very disappointed. Hard to say I'd recommend after this time and up to now, we've loved it. So sorry .
Always a reliable meal, I had salmon and crab, my wife had the pork chop and pear my favorite but she finished it never done that before, friend had Tuscany chicken and Pasta dish both very happy. Meals arr was split two got it and the others waited another % never happened before like that
Love the Place
We love this neighborhood gem and have been coming for years. This visit followed a few months since our last visit and we were dismayed to see s price increase which was not small: I used to pay $19 for my chicken champagne and it is now $25. I loved it but a $5 increase is a bit steep for this area, my husband also felt that almost everything had gone up by more than a couple of dollars. That is the only negative but an important one,
The food was not very good. Portion sizes are nice but the flavor is bland and/or incorrect. I ordered chicken marsala which is $21.99 which is way overpriced for a simple dish. I was very excited for the chicken marsala, but the sauce was very sweet. (Is the secret ingrediant pineapple?) I hope not because the flavor was not even close to a decent marsala. I apologize for the poor review but marsala cannot be done wrong.
