Banana Cafe is always great! Their Banana Flambé dessert is incredible!!
This’s my place to eat breakfast every time I visit Key West
Delicious food, awesome staff. Our waitress gave her opinion and recommendations- all were spot on! Relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Fantastic food and our 8 year old loved it as well
We have been to Banana Cafe many times for breakfast/brunch but never for dinner. This time we went in for dinner and the food was amazing. I had the salmon and my husband had yellow tail. One of the best meals of our month long stay here in beautiful Key West.
Quality and value were outstanding. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Had a great meal, great service and a fantastic feel and atmosphere. Would definitely go back and recommend. We were there as part of our honeymoon and will now be a special place for us.
Wine was nice and chilled compared to a restaurant not far from the banana cafe we tried! Portion size was just right. My wife had the cod and fries (too many fries tbh) and I had the seafood risotto- amazing! Finished it off with crepes, Nutella and banana - again amazing! Well done to management and staff for making this an absolute gem! 👍
This charming restaurant is one of the best in Key West. The steak with frites, roasted duck and traditional croque monsieur were our favorites. Do not miss the bananas flambé for dessert. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the service was superb. We will definitely visit here again.
We loved Banana Cafe in the past years we have visited. Unfortunately we will not return. The waiter staff was rude. They didn’t greet us or take a drink order. We all ended up drinking water because they never asked. It was entirely unclear who our waiter was, it seemed like nobody wanted to work tables that evening. They were out of a staple menu items, lobster Mac n cheese, claiming they couldn’t make the cheese sauce (a French restaurant that is out of bechamel??) my daughters chicken fingers came out ten minutes after our food was served. the upstairs didn’t have any music playing because they didn’t value any ambiance. Our first night in key west was very disappointing because of this very mismanaged restaurant.
Lovely, funky setting on the lower end of Duval street. Escargot were magnificent, as was my seafood crepe. This place is a real find!
Our neighborhood favorite.
Always enjoy Banana Cafe. Food is fresh and prepared to order. Can’t find anything better in Key West.
We love this bistro. Authentically French & very popular.
We had a great meal here. Our waitress was French and was lovely-great service! All of our food was delicious, but the seafood crepe was especially good with a sherry lobster sauce and tender seafood bites-it was recommended by the waitress and did not disappoint! We had a vegetarian/non dairy eater with us, and she was accommodated perfectly. I would recommend this restaurant!
Wonderful French cuisine. Excellent service. Loved the rooftop dining
We were told the Banana Cafe was a French spot with a little tropical flare. They were absolutely correct. What a treat to enjoy the hospitality and terrific meal. We began with perfectly prepared escargot both with two different ahi tuna salads. Our table was right by the outside which gave us an opportunity to view all the fun of Duval Street while being just Enuff off the street. We highly recommended the Banana Cafe
good food and excellent service upon our visit. large portions. I got the duck; she got the pork chop and they were as good as Id expect at higher-priced places.
Excellent dining experience. Comfortable environment, wonderful service and thoroughly enjoyable.
We had lunch and dinner on separate occasions. Delicious!
Waitresses were fantastic. Great place to eat and enjoy Key West.
Great recommendations on the menu and very good service!
We wanted a reasonably priced rooftop restaurant close to our hotel for our last night on vacation in Key West with our son and daughter-in-law, and Banana Cafe fit the bill perfectly. Our waiter was helpful and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend.
Enjoyed the food and the good service. On Duvall but not too noisy.
Fast and friendly service on the rooftop
Don't be put off by the name. This is a suprising good French cafe on the quieter end of Duval St. Ate outdoors on the balcony. Nice choice of French dishes and some American. French onion soup, served a little too cool, was still excellent and the seafood crepe was awesome. Overall a very enjoyable dinner that was priced just right. Only criticism was the service was a little slow but did not ruin the overall experience.
The PEI mussels and french bread were fabulous and my seafood risotto just perfect. Service was great and the sangria we had with our meal just wonderful. Would recommend for a casual meal at the quieter end of Duval Street.
Always a wonderful time. Great food and delightful staff. Banana Cafe never disappoints.
Pleasant place with really nice wait staff. Unfortunately, one of the dishes we ordered was a pork chop that cam out overdone. Ruined the meal for us. Probably won't return there.
Had special prix fixe NY eve dinner here. Wonderful meal, though price a little steep due to occasion.
Had an unpleasant experience. We had two little children and they agreed to do grill cheese for them which was nice but not needed. We just didn’t want to pay $78 per child for the four course prix fixe menu. We did order one chicken entry from that selection trying to make things easier for the kitchen. We then were charged a full $78 for our 3 year old even though she only had the chicken from the prix fixe and no other courses unless they counted a simple crepe and ice cream kid’s dessert! New Year’s Eve notwithstanding, it was very early when we went and we were their first guests. They could have handled this far better and communicated their plan in advance. To us this was fairly predatory. The waitress tried to explain that they did so given the grill cheese was added, but they charged us for that as well! They also didn’t disclose their corkage fee to us, merely charging us instead. Corkage fees are fine and expected but their pricing practices overall on 12/31 were very disappointing. It wasn’t worth ruining New Year’s Eve to argue with them vs leaving and trying to forget them. We are saying good bye to this place after many years and special meals. No longer a special place for us and just another price gouging tourist trap.
We arrived slightly early for our reservation, and were promptly seated, ahead of our scheduled time. Service was great, food was served quickly and was delicious! Would definitely recommend & will certainly return.
Always good; this year, better than ever. On the sane end of Duval St.
Great food, service and atmosphere! A must eat if your visiting. Snapper was delish!
Maybe it's more of a brunch place. Service was exceptionally slow. Pork chops were way over-done (not just "well cooked" - we're talking cardboard). Nice ambiance overall -- I would maybe try it for brunch.
We visited with kids for a nice night out. Delicious escargot and lobster sandwich!
The food was good, the service not so much. We have been to Banana Cafe and were disappointed with this visit.
Great way to spend Christmas Eve.
So fun! Wonderful service, as usual! Great food!
Fabulous ! Food was great, service was very attentive and great people watching
Great experience. They had a special table waiting for us upstairs. The service was friendly and knowledgeable and the food terrific. Great spot to eat away from the crowds of west Duvall street
Delicious onion soup, wonderful chicken and my salad with shrimp and scallops was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful evening
