After lunch rush mid week, the service was incredibly slow and in attentive. Impossible to get the service attention. She never checked back to the table after delivering entrées.
Salads and entrées took forever to be served. All the salads were quite nice, The pasta dish was barely edible, and the muscles in wine sauce was overly seasoned and overly cooked.
Egg dish was adequate and the pizza was decent.
We would not go to this restaurant again nor recommend it to anyone else.
I never write bad reviews,..but I feel compelled now. The charcuterie,..was to say the least old retired left overs. Cheese was bland,..artichokes just came out the freezer. I had a mixer of clams and mussels as a main,..definitely old clams and mussels,..hella dried up and sauce said nothing!! Nothing tasted fresh,..felt like we were served left over’s that they didn’t sell the night before,..& then served to us. Always had great meals previously,..so idk what’s going on?!?!!
Went for a dinner with out-of-town family, everyone loved it. The servers were excellent. The roasted garlic was a favorite!
Delicious! The chef did a great job with my special order.
I like to come here whenever I can. The food and the service are always nice and pleasant. Come and try it out if you are in the neighborhood!
Been wanting to come for a long while. My spouse & I thought the menu so promising! When we arrived, the ambience continued the promise: warm, cozy Italian.
However, regretfully we were disappointed because we ordered a small pizza to share as an appetizer and then each of us ordered a pasta dish. The first small detail was the bread served was not warmed. The olives and olive oul for dipping the bread was tasty, though. But a major flaw: the pizza arrived and almost immediately (2-3,minutes) so did the pasta. When I remarked to our waiter about this, he said normally appetizers come earlier, yes, but since we had ordered pizza, the food was coming together! He had not mentioned this when we ordered!
The food itself was all right but each dish was only all right. The pizza #16 pear was not terribly distinctive, as it had sounded. My pasta was the lobster and shrimp ~ and I normally don’t order cream sauces anymore as I tend to find them too rich and unsubtle ~ but the thought of lobster swayed me. My mistake because although they were generous with the lobster and shrimp, and both were cooked well (not overdone as to be chewy or dry), the sauce was not particularly tasty — and confirmed my normal reasons for skipping cream sauces. My spouse had the fettuccini carbonara, and he as well found it underwhelming.
We both agreed we will give Bambino’s another try, and hope we find that by ordering other dishes, not pizza nor creamed pastas, it will become the neighborhood favorite we had hoped it would.
Great, warm neighborhood place with wonderful service and very good traditional Italian dishes.
The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Very kind wait staff as well. Brought my 12 year old daughter and her friend. We all had a blast here. Bravo!
Food was good but salmon and steak had a bit too much sauce. Very nice service and beautiful touch with birthday cake!
The bread they make in house is fantastic! Service was good.
I love this cozy neighborhood Italian restaurant. The service and the food are constantly good. They bake their own bread and it is so fresh and dangerous yummy. They are generous with the portion, you don't walk out unsatisfied. I had a cioppino, the broth was heavenly tasty. It came out the way I like; steamy hot, so I could enjoy it and don't have to rush to finish it. Bambino's is worth trying!
A simple, sweet neighborhood restaurant that offers a large variety of Italian favorites. We have a pescatarian, vegetarian and carnivore in our family and each can always find something excellent to order. One thing to note is that the portions are extremely generous. Not fancy, but always satisfying and delicious. Delightful service and reasonable prices.
They didn't rush us, we stayed a while. Carbonara sauce was good
Great local place with no line and good food. Large portions for the price. Highly recommended!
The food at Bambino's is always fresh and wonderful. The service was impeccable.
The smoked salmon with goat cheese panini is delicious and a great value. Enjoyed half with the included side salad; brought the other half home to a grateful spouse. Decor is charming and waitstaff is helpful and pleasant. Don’t understand the crowd action around the other cafes on the street, while this one is lightly attended. Let’em miss some fresh and lovely food. Large windows let in light and air. Wish I could have tried more things.
The food was just ok, and there was just one waiter for all tables.
Food good but not great. Very generous portions though and waiter was great. Nice house wine and good serving and lovely fried calamari with dips which we really enjoyed. The pizza is very nice and lots of meat. My clam and pasta was not creamy as I would have liked just a bit. Over all very pleasant but not quite as good as I had hoped.
We've been having lunch here at least once per month prior to coronavirus, driving up from San Jose. Thrilled you are still open! Always delish calamaris and paninis. Look forward to more visits when we can make it to SF
Had dinner seated out by the sidewalk, pleasant, quiet neighborhood. Been there before, Good service, good food, but I tried the meatballs and found them a little bland. Everything else we've tried there has been great, though, and the pear salad is wonderful!
My family and I have been coming to the restaurant for Sunday brunch approximately 4 to 5 times in the past year and a half.
We take the hour long drive from San Jose because there’s nothing in our area like this
The food has always been great and has never disappointed.
Unfortunately for most restaurants I do tend to critique a a bit more since I have been in the hotel food and beverage management for a long time.
As for the service,
I am very sorry but I forgot the waitresses name- she’s the young lady from Nepal as we found out this past Easter Sunday.
Absolutely wonderful service!
We will return again and again.
Probably more often if you bring back your scones..
From my family thank you very much.

Best Crunchy French Toast ever! Great option for Brunch.
I always enjoy the food, ambiance and service at Bambino’s. This is a restaurant that we return to again and again. This was my first brunch there and the mimosas were great and a good value at $8.50 for the first one and $6 for additional drinks! My husband loved his breakfast pizza and I enjoyed the eggs Benedict with salmon.
My friend and I both thoroughly enjoyed our eggs benedict dishes (one florentine, one salmon.) Bambino's was generous with the delicious lemony hollandaise sauce. And the home fries were perfectly cooked! Loved the tasty pomegranate mimosas as well!! We dined at an outside table, on a lovely sunny Saturday and were quite happy! Highly recommend Bambino's brunch!!
Great food and great service!
Our service was outstanding. Thank you for being so accommodating and so careful! We had a wonderful time.
Very good food and excellent service.
There are so many delicious dishes on Bambino's menu! And the wine list offers many excellent, moderately priced wines. Bambino's is great for bothe casual meals and special occasions.
Took an hour to have a glass of wine. On a Saturday. Yes, these are unprecedented times and it’s hard to properly staff, manage, etc. but this was a little ridiculous. Will not be returning.
Food was good but we were bothered by hornets during dinner outside. Very aggressive hornets!
Always one of my favorites! Delicious pastas, pizzas... ambiance is perfect for dates and friendly get togethers!
I really like Bambino's. Their service is excellent considering we have to eat outside. The only item I am not big on is their pasta red sauce. It is way too sweet. It never used to be before COVID-19. I would like to see a change to a more true sauce with alot less sugar. I ordered something different last time (wine sauce)......much better.
The food was delicious!
Always a pleasure to dine at Bambino’s. Attentive service freshly prepared food. We sat outside, very cozy and comfortable. Go there and enjoy yourself!
Food was fine. Burrata was great but was served with pesto (not on the menu) my boyfriend is allergic and the waitress was not accommodating about that. Chicken parm was good but was served with plain noodles and green beans. I’ve been there before and loved it maybe was just an off night but it was not a great experience.
So glad they were able to put tables outdoors! Long a favorite restaurant, we missed being able to eat their wonderful food when the pandemic locked us out. The neighborhood is calm and people walking by are respectful. Not quite as delightful as eating inside, but the restaurant has done a GREAT job of making this next best.
Wonderful - delicious and friendly service!
I’ve been here before and loved it. This time I loved most of it. The food is delicious. The bread and olives are such a nice beginning. The butter lettuce and apple salad was beautiful, delicious and huge. Pasta was served at volcanic temperatures and we had to wait a fairly long time for them to cool down. Spaghetti and meatballs and 5 cheese pasta were good. But after everything was served the waitstaff ignored us. The bus person came by to take our plate even though we were still eating. I’ll come back because maybe it was an off night.
This is my go to restaurant in my neighborhood. The service is always attentive and friendly. I took many friends there and they all started my positive experience. The bread is always freshly made and dangerous delicious. For lunch I usually have one of the salads. They also have specials for dinner, mostly authentic Italian dishes. By the way, save room for the tiramisu, it‘s worth the calories😊
Food was good, but we all agreed that the entrees would have been outstanding with more flavor/Spices!
