We had a great time & Branden was an amazing waiter. This is one of my favorite restaurants in SLC.
Nice atmosphere with a good wine selection. The bar was nice. Food was fantastic.
While the food was spot on, there was a very fishy smell as you walked into the restaurant. I overlooked that and went to my table. While the wait staff was good, there were long periods of time where we sat and no on checked in to take our order or bring us our check. We would have stayed for dessert, but by the time the waiter came back to take our order, we were done for the evening.
Great food...great service. Perfect place for late night dining.
Great ambiance, Chrit was a superb waiter and the food here really is great We had ahi tuna tartar to start, which was sublime. Next, scallops on coconut milk quinoa, which was DIVINE. The halibut was cooked to perfection and was also excellent. We love this place!
Great date place
The service was very slow. Had soup and salad took an hour and 45 minutes. Food was great just slow service.
It had been a very long time since we visited this lovely restaurant, and we decided to try it when we realized how much the menu had changed. Except for a few things that weren't available, I would say the food and drink were really exceptional--delicious, pretty and well composed. You can't help feeling they're still suffering the effects of the pandemic in staffing but they manage to overcome it pretty well.
We had an amazing experience as per usual! The food is incredible, Krit gave us amazing service and always recognizes me. I love this place. One of the last truly romantic amazing places to come in Salt Lake.
Good food in SLC! Everyone in our 6 person group left happy and satisfied.
Great food, wonderful service. We tried the new Tuna tartare and it was great.
The filet was outstanding and the lavender creme brûlée fabulous
The restaurant does not know what it wants to be. We saw a clash of themes, not only in the decor but also the menu. It felt like a hotel restaurant instead of a gem that happens to be in a restaurant. The food was very good! The service was decent. We just left feeling like we spent too much on an ok experience.
The filet and duck fat fried potatoes is worth the trip.
We enjoyed a special dinner for our anniversary while on the road for vacation. The food was excellent. I had the elk loin and it was very well prepared. My wife had the scallops and they were likewise excellent.
An attractive and tasty menu! No main vegetarian choices, but we managed to find lots of great options among the apps, salads and sides. Recommended!
Bambara is always a great choice! The Fuji apple salad was delicious and scallops were perfect! Amazing dessert selection too!
Bambara has long been one of my favorite restaurants in SLC so it's no surprise that I loved it so much on my most recent visit.
The green bean and bleu cheese potato chip appetizers are simply amazing!
i DONT HAVE A DESIRE TO ADD ANY FURTHER COMMENTS IN MY REVIEW
Fantastic service (Jack), and expertly executed dishes.
My spouse & I stayed at the Hotel Monaco and ate at Bambara for my birthday. We had a lovely time - the food was wonderful, the atmosphere was nice, and my spouse loved watching the kitchen. The highlight of our meal was the cheese board - it's an appetizer, but I can picture having it as a full meal.
We liked it so much, we ate at Bambara 2 nights in a row. Over the 2 nights we had, cheese plate (both nights - delicious), hummus, baguette, elk (both nights - that good) and Steak + Frites. Desserts were good and as expected. Great value for us. ~$200 each night before grat. Highly recommend.
Great food and great environment and excellent service
The filet Mignon was our main course, and it was a poor quality cut. It was actually pieced together in a very tiny portion that was tough and actually fatty. The delicious sauce and prep was fantastic, however. Our server was great, and the cheese plate was a great value. Overall, we enjoyed our evening very much.
It's been well over a year since we last ate inside a restaurant, and I'm so glad we chose Bambara as our first "fine dining" outing. The food was wonderful. Our waiter recommended the elk loin, served rare, and it was easily the softest, most flavorful elk I've ever tasted. The berry/cauliflower puree it was served with was incredible-- an interesting culinary theme evoking the woodlands and wilderness. We also ordered the grilled filet of beef, medium rare, with the leek puree and fingerling potatoes. The meat was gorgeous and the flavors were exquisite. The presentation, in all cases, was perfect. We'll definitely be returning again for future special occasions since the price tag IS on the steeper side. =D
Wonderful food and service. The music was very loud which detracted from the ambience, but otherwise it was a perfect meal.
Service was not good. We waited a really long time for our entres and the server never came back to check on us and refill waters. I went to the reception area to ask if we could pay the bill and was rudely told to go find our watier by the bar.
We had a superb evening; our waiter, Jake, was incredibly- very knowledgeable, attentive, and made recommendations for cocktail/wine pairings with food. The only issue was the music was just a bit loud for usual conversation, but nothing that wasn't tolerable.
Bambara was excellent!! My wife and I both got the steak and it was perfect.
Service was fantastic. Food was amazing. Beautifully prepared!
Amazing food that was worth waiting for! Service was seriously lacking and the food took a really long time to come out. A few glimmers of hope with service then long periods of nothing! Sure sure everyone says COVID and no one willing to work- but the restaurant seemed to still be on half capacity and plenty of people around. I loved the food and would definitely try it again!!!
delicious food and great service. we loved our experience there
The food is very good though I wish the portion sizes were a bit larger. The service was a bit slow too. Overall would recommend, just know that service may be slow and that it will be pricey.
Food, service, and ambiance were perfect. Can’t wait to go back.
Really enjoy this place they they really hard to work around allergys and the food has always veen fantastic
Loved all three entrees we ordered for our table of 3. Attentive, courteous service. One of the women at table accidentally left her credit card on table. I received a text (reserv under my name) about 15 minutes later the cc card was secured at the front desk. So honorable!
One word can describe our food “awesome”. Our meal was fabulous
Great meal, excellent food and service for dinner party of 8.
The Elk Loin was terrific. The service was outstanding.
