We were traveling through Salt Lake City and wanted a fine dining restaurant for our last night of vacation. The experience was excellent. Even though we have preferred outdoor dining since March, we felt comfortable with the spacing of tables, cleanliness and mask wearing of servers. Every bit of the food was fabulous - the squash bisque and blue cheese potato chips for appetizers and the scallops and tuna for entrees. All super flavorful! Excellent bar selection but a bit on the pricey side.
Our favorite restaurant for date night. Exquisite food with flavors that come together in a unique way. The menu changes seasonally making the visit a surprise each time. Thankfully the filet mignon always makes the cut!

Absolutely delicious menu and great wine list. We had the kabocha bisque and beef marrow for an appetizer and the elk and the scallops as a the main course. We had a wonderful time! Top notch service. We will definitely be returning next time we are SLC.
Tempura appetizer was delicious, trout was fishy and elk was okay.

We went with another couple to celebrate my friends birthday. The food could not have been better. Everything was so delicious!! I know they are usually really great with special occasions and I had written in the reservation that we were coming in for a birthday. However they didn’t acknowledge the birthday which was a little sad. Also the service at the beginning was amazing but then we didn’t see him much at the end, but all in all was an awesome evening!
The place was amazing. The ambiance incredible but the food wasn't nearly as good as I was expecting. It was not very seasoned but what they did have was great. You cannot knock them on the presentation because that was on point. It just felt like there was a lot wanting flavor wise
The service and atmosphere were good. The steak was good, but not the best I've had in the valley. The side was tomatoes, which I don't like, so I basically had meat and nothing else. It was rather expensive for just meat. I enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't go back.

Fine dining at its best. Great food, service and ambience. Their prices are fair for the quality you get. Please don’t go there if you are on a tight budget then complain about the prices being too high.
What someone has to realize is that eating at Bambara is going to a four diamond restaurant, the service is expected to be great and the ambience the same, the food should stand out above all and Bambara has done all the above without question. All the meals we ordered were cooked perfectly and we were never waiting on a server to check on us. It was an amazing experience that we will without a doubt do again. Like I opened with though, this is a four diamond restaurant, so those going need to expect to pay for that service and level of dining, it isn't your local dinner, this is top notch dining.

We go to Bambara almost every year for our anniversary; this is our 39th . The food is absolutely scrumptious, there are always new and exciting options to try for different pallets. But you simply must try their blue cheese chip appetizer, it is a favorite of so many of their patrons. Wonderful place to celebrate an occasion of any kind; but especially anniversaries; you can hear each other, and the food has never disappointed us. We will definitely go for our 40th, but we'll find other reasons to delight in their food throughout the year. Don't miss out on this gem, and we felt completely safe during these perilous times. Don't wait, go now. You will have even a more intimate meal.
Food was good to excellent . Given cover, the restaurant was almost empty - only one other table - which helped keep the noise down.
But it seemed very overpriced to me.

We have been there a few times and the food and service are always phenomenal. It’s not the cheapest option in SLC, but it’s always a treat and we will definitely be back. They are almost up to their old full menu (COVID has limited their opening and menu a little bit).

I was very disappointed in the food. Couldn’t get into Fleming’s or Ruth Chris fir this celebratory dinner do thought this would be a good.
Not even close, I can prepare a better steak at home & the sides were also disappointing.
Won’t be going back which is too bad because I love the hotel & ambiance of the restaurant.
Firstly, we waited 20 minutes to even be recognized after we were seated. Secondly, the bar drinks were watered down, filled with ice and really terrible. Thirdly, the salad was totally drenched with dressing and was extremely sweet and difficult to eat. The fish with couscous was not very tasty. The fish was overcooked and the “vegetarian” couscous had 3 cherry tomatoes in it and tasted as if it were from a box. My husband ordered the scallops and there were 4 very small scallops. The bill was $178.00! which was ridiculous for this caliber of food and service. The server was nice, but not too attentive as he had way too many tables to take care of at one time, which was not his fault.
I am very sorry that your evening was not as beautiful as we had hoped. We knew service was getting too slow last weekend and we are very excited to have brought another server back from when we closed in March. The food part of this is very surprising to hear as chef inspects everything that leaves the line to ensure it is cooked how it is suppose to be. I do hope you give us another chance in the future as we are doing everything we can to make dining feel as normal as it can be. Cheers
I had the Summer Tomatoes Salad and Beef Filet. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty everything was and came away saying that it was probably the best salad and filet I've ever had. Memorable enough that I'll go back again for more.

Best meal I’ve had in years in a restaurant. The chef planned each dish and all ingredients carefully. I ordered a burger and it was fabulous- but my favorite part was the details. He flash fried sage and rosemary on the French fried potatoes. It was an amazing touch. We also got the chicken dish with succotash and chimichurri sauce. It was exceptional as well. Jake provided excellent Service! ❤️ Loved everything about our meal! My 12 year old loved everything too and he’s super picky!

I normally love going to Babamara. I take clients there all the time. This time I was embarrassed by the reduced menu and having to sit between 2 sets of doors as the normal entrance was blocked. I had to apologize to my clients about those two things. The food was good, but I know they would have more options.

Brunch here is to die for. The drinks are overpriced, but it's downtown and a nice place. The service was excellent. We came for my friend's birthday and it was lovely.

We dined here on the Friday evening before everything shut down due to Corona virus. It was very quiet. Our server was incredibly helpful and nice. There were some big wins food wise and others were just meh, especially for the cost. The corn soup and elk were definitely the winners--unique and delicious. I dislike game meat that I've had before and this was stellar. The beet salad and blue cheese chips weren't anything special or worth the high price. The filet was delicious, but again, nothing super unique. Overall delicious, but I don't think I'd feel like I need to go back for the high cost of the meal--maybe for the elk. ;)
Lunch meeting and the lunch menu is wonderful. I ordered the Nicoise Ahi Salad. A bit different that others that I’ve had but absolutely delicious. Nice large portions on ahi cooked perfectly on a tower of lettuce and tiny potatoes. My colleague ordered one of the other salads and it was equally delicious. Dell was our waiter and he did a nice job. Comparably priced with other downtown venues and that lovely Hotel Monica atmosphere. Recommend.
