So I rarely complain or leave feedback unless it’s great but on this one I felt like it was necessary to participate in feedback to the restaurant. We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated immediately. We then sat for nearly 10 minutes without water or being visited by a server(I nearly walked out). When we did order, I asked for one small variation in my meal and that was to have vegetables instead of potatoes, my meal arrived under cooked and with potatoes. The person who delivered the food said that they were completely unaware of my request for vegetables. My daughter had the scallops and she felt like they were undercooked as well. The restaurant interior is extremely dated and we kind of thought it was interesting that there were five diamond plaques all over the restaurant from 2009 because the restaurant looks like it hasn’t been updated since then. Earlier that day I had an incredible meal and service experience at the copper onion and we traveled from an area that has less than 200,000 people and our fine dining is far superior to what our experience was at this establishment. I never want to leave a bad review but I feel obligated to let people know what to expect at a restaurant where the average meal per person is easily over $100. I’m happy to spend money on great food and superb service. If I’d known what I know now, I would’ve skipped this one.

Bambara was delicious. We specifically went for the Elk and it did not disappoint. Our experience was delightful, the service was great. Highly recommend this place for a birthday celebration, or a date night.
Great food and service!
The host was rude and brief with us however the whole waiting staff was great. The menu lacked innovation and paying $200 for a dinner for two that included an entree that has fries as side doesn’t sound reasonable. Overall, for the price I would recommend other places.
I am sorry to hear that your experience didn't meet yours, or our expectations during your visit. Steak Frites has been a staple on our menu for many years with Chef changing the protein options weekly. I do not recall having one at $200 though, that would be a hard sell. I hope you give us another chance in the future. Cheers
This is a very nice, upper end restaurant with great service and great food. It is a little pricey but the cost is worth it and the experience could not have been better

I love Bambara and I try to go every New Years Eve or for something special. It is a great place and very pleasant to be in. Christopher was our waiter and he was very engaging and helpful. They are pretty much 5 star with us.

Food was really good, service was great. I enjoyed my cocktail very much. It was cold inside the restaurant and a bit dreary but I would probably eat there again.
Undercooked and cold steak for me, but the appetizers and small plates were very good.

Absolutely loved our experience! The food was amazing
The food was excellent. I think we just had bad luck with our server. He was not very personable. We are quite easy going people, and look forward to friendly banter with our server along with enjoying awesome food. Unfortunately our server that night seemed very disengaged. I still recommend the restaurant for the excellent menu, but the service kind of reduced my rating to three stars.

Celebrated my husband’s birthday here. The ambiance is great, it feels modern and relaxed. We got the veggies and hummus for our appetizer- they were perfect. The veggies were crisp, fresh and perfectly pickled and seasoned. The apple salad was delightful. We got the elk burger for our meal. The slaw with the burger was amazing. The burger was cooked well. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse pie with berries. It was fantastic. Overall, a really great experience.
Bambara was amazing! Every bite we took was better than the last. My partner and I ordered the bread and bone marrow for our appetizer. For our mains we ordered the chicken dish and the elk burger. All of it was amazing. The cocktails were fantastic and the wine selection was equally impressive. We cannot wait to go back.

This is my wife's favorite place to go out for dinner, and with it being her birthday she did not hesitate to pick Bambara. And I must say, they did not disappoint! From the prompt service, attention to cleanliness and COVID restrictions, to the delicious food, Bambara always makes our dinner dates here memorable. Thank you again to Chef Powers and his amazing staff for creating an evening out that will be cherished for years to come.
Best bread I’ve ever eaten in a utah restaurant if not almost any I’ve been to worldwide. And this was remarkably among the top 3 best filets I’ve ever tasted. Perfectly cooked at every bite. The sauce, flavors, mushrooms and duck-fat potatoes were unlike any I’ve ever had. Great surprise.
The food is incredible!!! The appetizer we had was so delicious and a fresh taste! We had the hummus with fresh and marinated veggies. Our favorite was the pickled fennell. We asked for extra! It was a generous portion. My kabocha soup was out of this world, as was the fuji apple salad with the 25-year aged balsamic. Yum yum. My husband thought his elk burger was absolutely delicious. He couldn't even finish it. The fries that came with it were also so tasty. There wasn't one thing we could have asked for to make it better! The service was phenomenal. Jake attended to our every need; he was so conscientious about changing his gloves and being sanitary. Thanks for everything!
Bambara has done everything possible to make diners feel safe while eating in their restaurant. Tables are socially distanced and everyone was wearing a mask. The food, as always, was delicious and well-prepared. It's hard to go wrong.

Hands down one of the nicest restaurants in the state. The food is amazing, the location is perfect, the ambiance is amazing.
Literally everything was outstanding. Squash Soup that was so delicious we almost ordered another one to go with our filet mignon for dinner. Excellent service - great cocktails - nice atmosphere! 5+ stars!

We were basically the only group there for an early 5:30 dinner. The entire space was incredibly cold. The service was very polite and friendly, but untrained and unskilled and so terribly slow. For a restaurant of the Caliber in which they promote, the staff should be trained to be attentive and speedy for certain things like bringing drinks, etc.

We were traveling through Salt Lake City and wanted a fine dining restaurant for our last night of vacation. The experience was excellent. Even though we have preferred outdoor dining since March, we felt comfortable with the spacing of tables, cleanliness and mask wearing of servers. Every bit of the food was fabulous - the squash bisque and blue cheese potato chips for appetizers and the scallops and tuna for entrees. All super flavorful! Excellent bar selection but a bit on the pricey side.
Our favorite restaurant for date night. Exquisite food with flavors that come together in a unique way. The menu changes seasonally making the visit a surprise each time. Thankfully the filet mignon always makes the cut!

Absolutely delicious menu and great wine list. We had the kabocha bisque and beef marrow for an appetizer and the elk and the scallops as a the main course. We had a wonderful time! Top notch service. We will definitely be returning next time we are SLC.

We went with another couple to celebrate my friends birthday. The food could not have been better. Everything was so delicious!! I know they are usually really great with special occasions and I had written in the reservation that we were coming in for a birthday. However they didn’t acknowledge the birthday which was a little sad. Also the service at the beginning was amazing but then we didn’t see him much at the end, but all in all was an awesome evening!
