I love Bambara!! I always forget about this little gem of a restaurant when I’m making plans downtown. The food was delicious, the scallops and steaks were cooked to perfection, and we all had a wonderful evening. Bambara is always so accommodating if you’re headed off to the theatre or a show at Abravenel Hall, they work hard to get you fed and out of there, without compromising on taste or service! Bambara is a fabulous option for fine-dining downtown, inside the beautiful Hotel Monaco!!
A perfect place to dine before going to see Wicked at the Eccles Theatre. The Tempura Green Beans, Blue Cheese Chips and Cheese Board were both enjoyable and delicious! The Filet Mignon and Elk were cooked and served to perfection. Myke, our server was amazing! He Attended to our every need. Outstanding Dessert and hot beverages after the show on a snowy February night, completed our perfect evening. The ambiance of the restaurant was refreshing and lovely. Thanks to Bambara for excellence in all they do!
There was a bit of a wait to be seated despite having a reservation. However, the wait staff informed us that our table would not be charged for any drinks due to this. That was very accommodating, and it was greatly appreciated.
Best brunch in downtown.
Perfect special occasion dinner location!
Our server, Myke, was absolutely fantastic and the chefs did an amazing job the night we were there!
We went on Valentine's day. Service was great, the food was excellent! The manager gave us a complimentary dessert to top it off! Good experience!!
As usual, everything at Bambara was lovely. The food was delicious. The timing of everything was perfect.
My only negative was that the tables by the large windows are incredibly cold in the winter. I was cold through the whole dinner.
Best night out we’ve had in a year and a half since moving to SLC. Got the recommendation from a foodie friend, and he wasn’t wrong. Food was incredible in presentation and flavor, the staff was friendly, and the open kitchen is so fun to watch. Definitely worth the high dollar signs. My only complaint in value is with the wine list. We regularly keep one of the “by the glass” bottles in our wine rack at home. A bottle here (one of the cheapest options on the menu) is over 5x retail price. I get that it’s a fancy restaurant, and it’s Utah, but come on... not everyone can afford a three digit bottle with their $40 entrees. Literally everything else was perfect.
very nice and quiet good service! food came hot! they were very respectful and kind!
Good spot to meet in downtown SLC. Easy access from Hotel Monaco.
I had the sea bass branzino, wife had chicken . Fun and delicious. All the staff were friendly. $100
I have eaten at Bambara many times and I have always had a good experience. The service was good. I thought the quality of the steak salad I had was sub par for the cost. The presentation was nice.
Good waiter. Great food. Wine: very very pricey
We enjoy Bambara, with that reservation
Great food. Cool atmosphere. Friendly service. Highly recommend for brunch
Despite having a reservation, my table was not ready on time (they weren't busy, there were many empty tables). My waiter had forgotten a few things that we ordered, we were sat near a party of 20, half of which were children who literally ran around the tables during our meal. The quality of the food didn't justify the price tag. You're better off elsewhere.
We were very disappointed with the coffee, it is the best part of breakfast and I can honestly say it was the worst coffee we have had. We expected better
Francesca and Jake were awesome!
Excellent food and service. The filet was perfectly cooked!
Delicious and creative food, and a waiter who was superb--we love coming to this restaurant when we're in town.
Excellent food and service in a contemporary atmosphere. Definitely one of the better vibes in SLC.
Server was horrible food was good
Myke took care of us and was GREAT. We went back for lunch the next day and he was our server again. Made great accommodations for dietary needs along with knowing his menu inside and out. Well done! Food was great! Definitely on the recommended list!
I have dined in this establishment several times. In fact, since it first opened (albeit infrequently). The food has always been good, and the overall experience is usually first rate. On our last visit, everything was as expected apart from the slow, and distant service. I believe his name was Chrit. I am sure it was just an off night for him, but perhaps some additional training on attitude, and loosing arrogant attitudes are in order.
Great service and amazing food.
Definitely recommend the lamb shank; there's a reason it doesn't come with a steak knife - so tender.
Drinks were made well too!
This place was honestly incredible. I've never had a dining experience quite like it and the staff was so friendly. Our server (Zack I believe?) Was so nice and when asked about recommendations he gave us a full run down and was very specific so it was just like vague answers. Super amazing and i hope to come again soon!
Never disappointed with Bambara! This has turned into one of our favorite date night stops. Amazing food with a menu that changes throughout the year so it stays fresh but some of the items stay all year.
Everything was great! JC’s Sandwich was great and it was nice to say thank you to JC! He’s the nicest guy. I had a great experience.
Cocktails weren’t very good, martini’s used cheap olives that weren’t tasty. Wines were $15 to $17 per glass, even for bottles that cost less than $20 at the liquor store. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, but seemed less interested in us than other tables. Food was good and we never felt rushed, though the wait for our entrees was quite long. Didn’t seem crowded enough to explain the delay, (we dined on the Thursday that ended Sundance).
Wouldn’t go back. Wouldn’t recommend. Dinner for the 4 of us, with tip, was nearly $400.
Highly attentive and courteous service. The Elk and Yellowfin were amazing. Tender, full of flavors, beautiful presentation.
Love this place! The food was delicious, and all employees we came in contact with were really nice! I'd definitely come here again.
Met my parents here for brunch. My avocado toast with scrambled eggs was mediocre. Sad that a
I’ve been here for brunch many times, but decided to come for dinner and it was amazing! Love this place and totally recommend it.
Absolute delight. Would 100% go back. The servers reccomendations were perfect! Can’t wait to go back
Good food, Great service and no rush.
We have dinner at Bambara whenever we’re in town. The food is always good and the wait staff knowledgeable. Good wine selection as well!
What a wonderful evening. Our waiter was excellent and the food was worth every penny!
Nice place for Salt Lake City dining. Would recommend for any occasion.
I go to Bambara at least once a month and always enjoy the experience. The staff are great and the food is one of my favorites.
The specials change daily, and there is always something for everyone. Always start with the home made chips. They are awesome.
Bambara is typically one of our favorite restaurants in Salt Lake City. However, this last experience was less than satisfactory. Service was extremely slow, and by the time breakfast was served (it took about 30 minutes), my breakfast was cold and my poached eggs over cooked. I did not send it back because I was fearful it would take too long to get a new meal. Service continued to be extremely slow after that as well. I guess we will stick with Bambara only for dinner in the future.
