Ordered a medium rare filet and it came out medium well, the waiter was fantastic and promptly returned it but while we waited for a new filet my dining partners dish got cold.
Brunch items not as good as lunch. Cook didn’t know what soft scrambled eggs were. Closed the drapes and made the morning lovely light go away. Waiter said the light bothered him even after guests said they wanted the drapes open. Hot chocolate was mostly milk.
Food and service were fantastic. It’s certainly a fine dining experience and I would highly recommend it for anyone who doesn’t mind paying a little extra for quality and service.
The food was too salty and the New Strip was cold
Food was fantastic, and Service was as well. Thank You!
Work Celebration. Great service! We had a lovely table for 7 in the back that allowed us space to visit and enjoy.
Love. This is my go to restaurant. Food is always good. Service timing is always perfect. Reasonable cost for always delicious food.
This was an excellent food experience. I had the elk loin which was cooked to perfection medium rare and came with yummy asparagus and a risotto. There was not a spec left on the plate. I then had the chocolate panna cotta. The flavour was great but the texture was grainy. I enjoyed it and was pleasantly surprised when they took the cost off the bill. Well done folks! I would certainly return. Service was polished/
Good food and service. Too pricey for overall product.
Great food and service. Had a number of small plates. A bit pricey, especially for the drinks and wine.
New Year’s Eve with friends. First time at Bambara. Really liked it.
We dined with in the company of our dog just outside the entrance to the restaurant. We appreciated that Bambara gave us the opportunity, especially since our pooch was about to experience a long flight to the east coast. Our server was fantastic.
Excellent service! I wish I could remember our server’s name. Delicious meal and a fab wine list.
It was nice but it’s definitely overpriced. Good for once in a while special occasion.
$13.00 for a salad consisting of a pile of greens on a plate with some ranch dressing, a few peanuts and a little bit of shaved cheese? GIVE ME A BREAK! Also $13.00 for an ice cream sandwich which was "free" because it was our anniversary. Whoopie! I would not recommend Bambara to my friends because they are cheap just like me. We should have gone to Coachmans.
The quality of the dishes doesn't match the price level. The food is not bad but way, way overpriced. The wine list is too short and pretentious with only expensive wines.
The staff is very friendly.
Cheese plate was nothing special at all. Just like cheese and olives from home. But entrees were wonderful. Great experience and beautiful environment.
Not enough vegetarian options
Love going here as the menu consistently gets updated, so, you can always try something new. Great wine list.
We had a wonderful dinner at Bambaras. The food is spectacular. The service was amazing. It was a most memorable evening.
unique food offerings
They did such an amazing job making my partner’s birthday a lovely evening. They printed personalized menus and the server gave excellent wine recommendations. The food was also very well cooked and all meat was cooked to the correct temperatures.
Dinner after Nutcracker ballet. Everything was excellent!
We had never been to Bambara before but as it was a big birthday for me, I wanted to spend it somewhere very special. I’m so glad I chose Bambara! My husband was hesitant but I knew when we got there we would both love it. Our server was Chris and he was so knowledgeable and helpful with the entire menu. So my husband and I shared the pork cheek and belly as an appetizer and it was delicious. A perfect start to an amazing meal. I got the Maine scallops as my entree, and he got the 7 oz. filet. Both were delectable. We weren’t going to get dessert but when Chris brought out the dessert menu, we both chose something different. The brown butter pound cake with pumpkin sherbet, and the vanilla bean crepes, were both to die for. I highly recommend and will be going back in the future!
Great downtown location with a better than a, 'hotel restaurant' ambiance.
Our server was excellent. In addition removing the overcooked, greasy calamari & shrimp appetizer from our bill, he also had the kitchen split our main course. The elk was delicious. Overall a very nice dinning experience.
Jake was an excellent waiter.
Willing to personalize menu options
Great ambiance, superb food, and incredible service. The scallops were the best I have ever had, tuna was divine, overall a stellar dining experience!
As a recent transplant from Manhattan I comment as a habituee of better restaurants. Bambara is somewhat overpriced. The Justin red was superb. but even your wine prices are higher than Manhattan at for example, Balthazar. Lower your prices overall and make it less of an "investment" to eat and drink and your business will flourish. Think brasserie, think Balthazar. I would dress the waiters in white aprons.

Quail appetizer was fantastic. Amazing combination of flavors. Quail was very small portion.
NY Steak was perfectly cooked and excellent quality. Service was great as usual.
We got there at 445pm and was told multiple times no food service until 5 pm. We were in no rush at all. We ordered one if two appetizers available which was calamari. With our wine, it was delivered and immediately we thought it was not tasting right. We told Regan the waitress, she got very defensive but we told her to return it and we would order dinner off the menu. If not once but four times, she made nasty comments like “chef said it was fine but oh well” or “glad you like your scallops at least youre finally happy” After a $150 bill, Bambara was one of our favorite places in SLC, but The Vault certainly gave us a bad taste in our mouth. The rudeness of Regan and just not sure an order of scallops and a couple glasses of wine has a $150 value, it truly ruined our experience with Regan repeating glad your happy etc.
I’ve enjoyed the Elk Loin dish twice this month. It’s outstanding. The seasoning is unique and I have not been able to crack the code as to its ingredients. The cut itself was the most tender and flavorful cut of red meat I’ve ever had.
It was a great dining experience! Good food and the waitress that helped us was wonderful.
First class Restaurant . First class Food, First class service
Loved the food and the location/aesthetic. Our waiter was very rude which was a bit difficult. I arrived with 4 other friends to celebrate my birthday. He seemed upset with us from the get go. When I asked for a cup of coffee after breakfast, he didn’t even verbally respond. He signed and walked away. When one of my friends asked if he could combine her’s and my check so she could pay for me, he did the same thing. I love this restaurant and haven’t had issues in the past, but this particular waiter was awful.
The small plates were better than the main. My food was a touch cold when it got to me but the blueberry lemonade, bisque, and cheek and belly were amazing. Sides were great too. Steak wasn’t the best cut but sea food was great. Had a great atmosphere and would go back again
We had a wonderful dinner with excellent service. We were a bit disappointed with the lack of Christmas decorations in the dining area. Also, the drink prices were equal or greater than prices in Hawaii or New York. Utah pours should be much less expensive.
My first Time here, it was amazing! Fantastic experience, divine food.
Incredible food and outstanding, friendly service. An incredible experience, and will definitely be returning.
My husband and I made a last-minute reservation on 12/7/19 and were seated at a high-top table across from the open kitchen. I loved watching the choreographed-like performance of the six chefs working together in the tight space.
The server was great, and he gave us excellent recommendations. My husband had been planning on ordering the beef tenderloin, but trusted the server and instead ordered the seared loin of elk. It was flavorful and tender, not gamey, perfectly cooked to medium rare. I had the yellowfin tuna which was lightly seared and served in a broth made of lobster shells and saffron. It was delicious.
Along with the entrees, we split an appetizer, salad and dessert and had several drinks, so the bill was over $200.00 before tip. We will come here again for a special occasion.
