Wonderful Easter Brunch!
incredible service with amazing food. The house cut potato chips are a must try.
I want to start by saying that Bambara is usually our favorite and go-to for occasions--from birthdays to anniversaries. This time, we went to celebrate a co-worker/friend who was getting married. There were three of us in the party. We ordered the ahi tuna salad, the lunch special steak salad, and the grilled salmon. The ahi and the steak were borderline raw. I understand that ahi is supposed to be "rare," but this was inedible. We sent both back to be cooked further. The steak came back cooked properly, but after a long wait and everyone else was done eating, the ahi then came back way over cooked. However, it was better than eating it raw, so I just went with it. At this point, I was late for a work meeting. The server did give us a free dessert to try and make up for the debacle. Overall, this experience was not up to the usual Bambara standard. I hope this just an anomaly and next time is better.
It was not a good. experience. Our server was not attentive, food was cold, no cream for coffee and then brought an item she forgot in a to go container which was also charged to our bill. This was an overpriced disappointment and I will not recommended this place to anyone.
Absolutely delicious. The elk loin was tender and excellent flavor; complimented with berries and cauliflower. My mouth is watering remembering it
Always a fantastic choice. Honestly one of the best restaurants in the state in my opinion.
This is a great place. You will really enjoy Bambara. The food, the ambiance, the choices and all that they have to offer. I highly recommend this to you and your friends.
We dropped in with a same day reservation for lunch. Everything we had was delicious. The wait staff was polite and fast. Great experience all around.
As always great location and good food!
The food just isn’t fine dining. I don’t think it would get a zagat rating. Overpriced for the quality.
I am sorry to hear you did not find value in your dining experience. I would love to know more about your dining experience as I appreciate feedback from our guests. I look forward to hearing from you.
We had dinner at Bambara recently and, as usual, it was a great experience. The roasted marrow bones were tasty. Another favorite appetizer is the blue cheese potato chips. The Maine scallops were delicious and well prepared, as was the elk. We had berry creme rule which was very tasty as well. ..the service is always excellent.
Great food and great service! We really enjoyed the food and our first time at Bambara.
The Best Lame choppes I have ever Ate and the Beats on Beats Salad was Great.
Great food. Great whiskey selection.
It was a bit loud. The restaurant was very cold. The food was good.
Excellent service and exceptionally well prepared food. Beautiful presentation. A favorite downtown dining venue.
We enjoyed our brunch at Bambara. Our waitress Sierra was awesome. She knew the menu well and had great suggestions. The beef short rib hash was prepared perfectly and was very tasty. The pancakes were a little tuff but had a nice texture and taste. The cappuccino was spot on.
Always lives up to reputation. Never had a bad experience at Bambara.
Another excellent meal courtesy of the masters.
I have never had a bad experience.
WE are not surprised Bambara is the most booked restaurant on Open Table in SLC. This has to be the 10 or 12th time we have dined here. The Elk was perfectly seasoned an paired with very tasty veggies.
Drinks were terrible, food was bland and not impressive for the price.
Superb service, and absolutely every bit of both of our meals superb.
Excellent food! Great waiter! Good drinks.
Chilly in winter with big windows. Modern elegant decor.
I went with my family to Bambara as a dinner out because we had just come back from skiing at Jackson Hole. The food and service were good, especially the desert. They had sweet potato ice cream and huckleberry creme brûlée which we really enjoyed; however, the first time they brought out the ice cream, they made a mistake and brought out just the vanilla. Overall though, the food was delicious.
Bambara never disappoints! Our go to in Salt Lake for great shared appetizers, inventive craft cocktails, delicious mains and tasty desserts. The service is also friendly and informative.
We went for brunch before a ballet across the street. The restaurant was busy and we were concerned about having time to be served and make the show. We brought up our concern and the waitress, manager, and chefs were so accommodating and rushed our order requests. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, and so nice to have a busy restaurant to really make an effort to please the customer...it's becoming a lost art!!
My mother and I had a great brunch there b4 r show across the street (Shen-Yun) (Wu I) lol, I wish I could remember names better but I can' t find where i put the list duh the guy and girl there was amazing at there job and really enjoyed being there! as a rest. asistant man. myself i can respect and admire that after 20 years in the business so thank you and thank Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants.

Cool place in town in a cool hotel. Pricey drinks and menu. Food was ok- mushrooms and mussels had odd taste. Wanted it to be better.
We really enjoyed going to the Vault next door first for a drink before our reservation. Food was delicious and the ambiance was wonderful.
Bambara never disappoints!
We have come to Barbara’s for years and this is the first time we have been disappointed. The blue cheese potato chips had very little blue cheese. The meals were very busy. It seemed that there were too many things going into the plate. The chocolate cake dessert was pretty tasteless and the creme brûlée was more huckleberry jam like than brûlée. All 4 of us were disappointed.
Great location for dinner if you have a post-dinner event downtown. Food and service is consistently good.
It is overpriced Price per value ratio is definitely not worth it
Great food, ambiance and service! Excellent
Went out with friends for an early Friday night dinner. It took us over 3 hours to eat. The waiter, though informative; took his time with everything. The food was sub par, far from what I had once had there before. Over 600.00 with tip for dinner and drinks for 4 people at this place was outrageous. I used to recommend this place but no longer will.
All fantastic except the $17 glass of “house” wine - waaaay out there
The food was incredible and the open plan kitchen was innovative
Service was a bit rushed I realize they wanted to turn tables but for a total bill for 2 people of over 200.00 - I don’t want to be rushed
