We had an excellent brunch here, with plenty of food options and quick drink refills. The view was fantastic and all the staff were very accommodating.
Took a large group there for a lunch party. The service was excellent and the employees were great. Would recommend and look forward to trying to get back there for another meal!
Highly recommend this resturant, beautiful location, great service and great food
The best waterfront nighttime view of San Diego! Just beautiful! Food and service were wonderful!
Food and service were great. Difficult to carry on a conversation due to high noise level.
A little pricey for the portion size, but I enjoyed the food and would definitely come again.
Bali Hai has been totally remodeled since I was last there and it looks
amazing! I will always love the view but now I love the food as well.
Service was great!
We enjoyed the view. The appetizers were very good. The server was on point. Our main courses were somewhat disappointing. My husband & father ordered the short ribs. For some reason my husbands was very tender and juicy while my dads was really dry. The huli huli chicken was too sweet but I suppose this is a matter of preference.
Overall, I feel that the overall value did not match the price.
Birthday for our daughter who turned 23 yrs ago awesome
Overall was a great restaurant. The calamari is amazing, and the drinks are epic as well. Coupled with the view, and the experience was as good as it gets.
We were a group of 6 celebrating a birthday. Everyone else was very satisfied with their meals. I ordered a prime rib hoagie which was too salty, so I sent it back and tried a grilled fish entree. That dish came out as everyone else was finishing their meal, and my initial bite it tasted good. I cut into the fish and I could tell it wasn’t throughly cooked so I returned that entree as well. The meals were both deducted from the bill. Staff were very apologetic.
Everything was amazing and the view is absolutely gorgeous!
We love this place. Everyone here treats us like family . The food is always wonderful. Hannah is the most amazing server. Ross is a great manager. Thank you always for making our experience so special.
Excellent drinks and awesome rum selection. Plus the service is amazing. That coupled with delicious brunch fare makes this one of our favorite spots
View is spectacular. Drinks and food okay. Service was good, but it did take some time for meal and our bill to arrive. Our reservation was for 6:45 and we were seated right away. Quite a few people waiting for their tables when we left.
Chai tea cheesecake is a wonderful treat. The echo of dishes rattling and other serving noise results in loud conversations at nearby tables with the result of difficulty hearing conversation at my table.
With out of town guests, Bali Hai is one of the greatest views of San Diego you can find. That alone would be worth going, but the food is also fantastic and the service is great. It's overall a great venue for just about any experience you could imagine. This is high on our list of local recommendations.
Perfection. Wok fried bass is not to be missed.
We arrived early and were seated at a table by the window overlooking San Diego across the water. We ordered a small Caesar Salad—delicious and beautiful presentation; peppers, always roasted/grilled to perfection; fried lobster in sweet and sour presentation; and root beer glazed short ribs. All were wonderful!
Always a great meal at Bali Hai! The food comes out hot, quick and beautiful. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner and drinks and come back every year for the occasion!
We had a wonderful time, great food, and the view was amazing!
Great food, location and service. The best view in San Diego.
Good. Food was yummy
Excellent service, great views, and delicious food. I had visitors from out of town and they loved it.
Went for Valentine's day with my fiance. Had a flawless night with great food and our server, Kona, was extremely helpful and attentive.
Excellent drinks ....food was good but over priced. Portions are small and come with no sides. Great view of the bay from a window seat.
Very strong drinks, however, the food is not that good and definitely overpriced
I was upset at the fact that they gave us a 2:45 seating, which was 15 minutes before the kitchen closed. They did not tell me that when I booked. So there was only one other couple there finishing their food. It was weird. I felt rushed, and uncomfortable. It was Valentines Day. So, I wasn’t very Happy. They really shouldn’t squeeze in people the last 15 minutes before the kitchen closes. Especially on Valentines Day.
Valentine's day. A nice window table and a beautiful day and view.
Feel like you're in Hawaii without leaving San Diego!!
The drinks and location are perfect. The food is just ok. Pupus are good, but main dishes are over cooked. It was very nice to have a vegetarian menu available.
I love this restaurant and come here often with my friends or dates.
The personnel is always super friendly and nice, the outside patio has best views of Downtown San Diego, and the menu is original and authentic.
They charge 3% surcharge though - it is to offset the rise of the minimum salary in California.
This is a great place to eat. The food is marvelous and the view of the skyline is fantastic! Kelly did a great job as our server. I will certainly return again and refer to all my friends and colleagues.
Wonderful place to eat with a beautiful view and ambiance.
I really like the ambience and amazing view of this restaurant, but some dishes way too overpriced, I got 3 scallops with no garnish for $28 , it looked like tiny appetizer , but with the price of main course. It was a little bit disappointing.
I have been a customer for 23 years two or three times a month....lunch, dinner, brunch and drinks but tonight has me so steamed that I will never return. Take a conservative ticket average of $50 x 3=$150 x 12=$1800 annually x 23 years...$41k over the past two decades and they have lost me as a customer. The restaurant booked a large group in the main dining room...complete with a loudspeaker with endless speeches and musical entertainment. Just after ordering, we spoke to the manager that this was adversely impacting the dining experience we were seeking. She replied, “they are almost finished.” Had she been truthful with us and told us they were nowhere close to leaving, we would have paid for our drinks and left. She failed to come and apologize to us. Upon leaving, we made our displeasure very clear and what did we get in return...a blank stare. I have to say, I am finished with Bali Hai....
Fantastic spot amazing service food and drinks top Quality Had our wedding reception Here. And just celebrated our 1 year anniversary there as well. Highly Recommended
Birthday celebration...waiter heard us teasing my sister about her age. He later brought over a dessert with a candle for her! Everything was perfect!
Always one of our favorites travel to San Diego as a must place to eat and enjoy the views
