Great service! Always delicious food and a wonderful evening!
The noise comment was in regards to a boisterous party of 20 next to us. Otherwise we had a great time.
The food was great and the service was exceptional.
Fantastic service, the food was incredibly tasteful, the drinks were strong.
Everything was great. View is magnificent. Food yummy and the mai tais are the best in the world. You just have to have this experience!
We celebrated our 23 year wedding anniversary! It was great view, great food, great service!
Had a very rich feel for a very fair price. It's close to home so Bali Hai may just be my home for Sunday Brunch.
Thought we would try an “historical” eatery. Brunch is considered by our party as a social place to have an assortment of food and flavors. Our party of four could not carry a normal conversation without yelling across the table.
The selection of entries, salads and desserts bordered on college dorm cafeteria quality.
Instead of catching up with my sister that I haven’t seen for 14 years over a $50pp meal, we ate and went to the adjoining park. Our vocal chords thanked us.
I got the impression that most customers just don’t care or don’t know the difference as to what paying more for much less is about.
Felt like a slap in the face.
Definitely coming back. Overall great place to dine. Staff was thoughtful enough to send us a complimentary dessert because we were celebrating our anniversary.
Good food. Marco our waiter was very accommodating to our special requests. View was outstanding. Not busy for lunch on Thursday afternoon.
Great food , service an of course a spectacular view of the harbour.
The view was spectacular - make sure to call and ask for a window seat!
Food is ok. Views are great. Service is average and expect a lot of noise on a Saturday night.
A beautiful view with rounded glass. you can watch small boats pass by and the city lights. I had Mahi Mahi which was fabulous, cooked perfectly and their Mai Tai is a killer. Our waiter was friendly and informative, the bar area can get loud. A nice place for a date
View, atmosphere and service are great. Food wasn't so good. You will enjoy your time but you won't walk away saying the food was good. I hate to say it, but the Szechuan Beef tasted a bit like dog food. The Wok’ed Vegetables were so hard you couldn't cut them with a knife. The food definitely doesn't match the great location and view. Also know it's a little loud in there. Big open space, so it's noisy. I couldn't hear people around the table very well. Sorry Bali Hai....you were a San Diego favorite when we lived there, but this time it just wasn't very good.
Always the best.
It's more about the history of the place, and the view. Don't expect a fabulous meal.
Dion Morales and his team cooked up some AMAZING dishes! And the wait staff was exactly what you’d expect from a fine dining establishment. I wish i remembered my waitress name... she was AWESOME! Will be back FOR SURE
The Szechuan Beef was good, but not enough beef. Too many onions and terrible puffed rice. The puffed rice was like chewing on plastic pellets. Recommend going back to serving white rice and add more meat to the dish rather than filling the plate with cooked onions. Some onions are good, but not when the plate is just nothing but onions.
We had a table of 5. Our server was often absent and others covered for her as she spent time with other customers. The food was great but the steamed broccoli was just that -- steamed but without herbs, lemon, or anything else that I'd expect from a top restaurant. Also, my Old Fashioned cocktail was not good. They seated a large party next to us and it became almost impossible to talk -- there were other areas of the restaurant where they could have been seated. I almost asked to be moved. Overall, it was just an OK experience.
Bali Hai never disappoints. Everyone I invite really love the food, view and staff
Would only go on a day where you could order from the menu. Buffett was costly as the food was mediocre. Would opt for outside seating as inside is very noisy.
The food is sooooo good.
The buffet champagne brunch was excellent. There was a wide range of excellent food choices (e.g., orange, pineapple, guava, etc. juices, eggs & omelettes, pancakes, waffles, french toast, bacon, sausages, ribs, sea food, including crab legs, shrimp, salmon & more & more) and free flowing champagne. Everyone in our party got more than enough of beautifully prepared and freshly displayed delicious brunch fare. The service was very friendly and excellent. And, of course, the view is awesome.
