The service was fantastic and the vegetarian options were really great. We had a heavy mix of the mezzo and then we had the wild zattar manakeesh which was a really interesting mix of flavors.
Their outdoor dining is great, even in 18 degree weather. It was so warm we had to take off our coats and hats. The only problem is that the heater smells a bit.
Our daughter has a severe sesame allergy and we told the server, however there were sesame seeds on the french fries. Good thing she saw them and she was paying attention.
Good food and variety. Most of the food was missing salt.
Excellent food, attentive service on a cold Monday in NYC. We were 5 souls seeking good food and comfort and we got it here in abundance!
Really incredible evening! We had a group of 10 and they were so accommodating to us. We sat outside since it was such a warm night and brought out a pretty powerful heater too. We did the prix fixe option and all the food was amazing. It felt like a feast with so many different small plates and wine! The service was so good especially for our large group. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Always a delicious and authentic tasting meal. Tabouli, and fried kibble always a great complement to any meal.
Everything we had was wonderfully flavorful. We sat at a fully open outdoor table and with a heater turned on intermittently were perfectly comfortable on a warmish December evening. Definitely plan to go back.
fresh inventive delicious
Great service, fun spot
Went there with family - party of eight. Asked for inside and they sat us inside. Have been to many Lebanese places, this was in the top three. Food is fantastic, our waiter, George, excellent, knowledgeable, attentive and super friendly, prices are excellent for very high quality food.
Read a whole bunch of reviews here, mostly positive and the negative experiences were not observed at all. This means this restaurant pays attention to any negative reviews and corrects it. I’m in no way related to the restaurant, and will say that I and my family members will be returning and will definitely recommend!
Inside seating not available. Outside was too cold plus heater was kerosene
Quite upset - they turned a table for four into one for six for my party, it was very crowded. Seated us right next to the door, where it constantly opened and closed to cold wind gusts.
The menu listed online is not the one available on Fridays and Saturdays - maybe this should be mentioned. It is a limited menu and is much more expensive.
They also have you order everything for the night at once and are not interested in caring to explain the menu and different foods. First time I have ever experienced this.
Food was good, but really not a fan of their tactics and lack of service; not impressed with the restaurant.
I'd rather the food be mediocre but have better seating and service.
We sat outside in the cozy, warm outdoor area. The manager, who also doubled as our waiter, was friendly and gave us wonderful suggestions. The food was nothing short of amazing. The restaurant was packed by 7 with delighted diners. We will absolutely return!
Service was great and food was too. Was able to get a reservation for 12 people. Outdoor seating was covered and very warm. Fun atmosphere - would definitely recommend
Everything is so flavorful and fresh, great place for dinner with friends!
Absolutely terrific food and great service. Highly recommend.
Delicious, fresh food and great service
Very d'Issa l'intimât
Food was superb, although perhaps the selection of meats could have been a little more generous for the mixed grill platter. The service was fine and gracious, if somewhat inattentive at certain key moments. The outdoor seating is adequate, although it could use a wee bit more effort at leveling the area—some of the cheap folding chairs, themselves not overly sturdy, were perched at the edge of the curb, that was poorly leveled with layers of astroturf. This made for uncomfortable dining for three of our party. But overall, I would say that given the relatively moderate price and the really tasty preparations, I would return (and perhaps specially request a level table).
It's a good restaurant, the food and service are good. I went there because a friend told me it's the best Lebanese restaurant in NYC, so my expectations were very high. But it's not the best one.
The best Middleastern Foods that I've found in Manhattan to date.
Good food. Outdoor seating could be more comfortable.
Delicious food, friendly knowledgeable staff. Will definitely be back!
The experience was excellent, they sat us early and let us have pre drinks at the table. The services was on par and a delight.
Great food and atmosphere! Mix grill was delicious!
12 of us went for a birthday dinner. Had a blast. Service was slow, but its slow at every restaurant these days. Food was solid... would recommend the prefixed menu for groups as you get a wide array of food. Definitely had a Lebanese vibe - music, food, Lebanese waitress.
Yuppy crowd. Got loud do to its density later in the evening.
Waiter did not wear mask and was coughing and touching his face throughout
The food is delicious and the staff pleasant
They started playing the music super loud, like nightclub levels, midway through. Our group wasn’t a fan because it made conversation harder. It was a good time, good food, and good value overall, though
The food is reliably fantastic!! Lots of choices - all delicious & freshly made. They were very busy, so the service was just adequate - the server forgot to pick up my check when I wanted to pay. After 10 minutes, I went inside and paid at the bar.
They were understaffed and too busy- we booked a table in doors we were given an outdoor option as the wait for indoors was over an hour even though we had a reservation. The staff was over whelmed and the food was below par
Was looking for an outdoor spot that would on a rainy night. Baladé’s outdoor set up was perfect. Airy enough to feel comfortable and kept the rain out. Service was perfect.
Overbooked & understaffed. Restaurant doesn’t understand the equation. Servers were great, but they were being overworked — management should consider hiring more / take better care of their people
Great food and customer service
The food was amazing, really good. Service could improve (too pushy, not polite)
George is a really good waiter ; liked the Lebanese wine. Our tabbouleh never came but just as well; there was plenty of food .
Noise level a little higher only because we chose outdoor seating. Food is absolutely amazing!
Incredible food and experience! Service was good and the owner stopped by our table to make recommendations and tell us some details about the restaurant and how everything was imported straight from Lebanon. Tabbouleh, hummus, and pita were all fabulous. We did a selection of mezze and everything was excellent!
Authentic, great Lebanese food. Server George was wonderful. Really enjoyed our time at Balade and wish this would become a chain!
