To begin the reception clerk, hostess, was rude on our arrival. I had made a floor table reservation that day. She called and asked if we wanted to see the band, and have bar, counter or floor reservation? I said yes, we were coming to see the band, and I had ordered a floor table. When we arrived she took me upstairs to a table that had no view of the band or floor. I asked for something better. She took us down stairs and offered two counter seats on the end of crowded stool counter. One of the seats was facing the bar, starring at other patrons 2 feet away, and no view of the band. I said no we would wait for something better. So we sat at the second floor no view table. We waited and she never came back. The waiter served two tables that had arrived after we were seated. After 20 minutes I got up and tapped him on the shoulder. From then on he was responsive. The owners significant other was seating some of her friends. I asked her if we could get a better table. She said she would say something to "our" hostess. When our cheese platter came the crackers were stale. After 40 minutes a polite gentlemen, Chris, came to the table and offered us unobstructed counter seats. We enjoyed the show. This was all a surprise to me, I have been to this restaurant well over 10 times in the last five years. The owner has been nothing but charming and hospitable. Unfortunately he was working the sound system this time. I would suggest that if someone is coming to see the entertainment, and the only seats available do not have a view of the entertainment, that the hostess, whoever, tell the people making the reservation what is available. Give us a choice. But in this case they took our $56.00 cover charge and sat us in a, "get out of my way, sit down and shut up seats".
Food was terrible! Quality of the live entertainment was very good, but this is not a good place to go on a date because of the volume. This is a place to go for music and a drink, not dinner.
Bakes Place was everything that I've been looking for...I wish I'd found it years ago!!
Great great great music and phenomenal wait staff! The bartender was fantastic and took very good care of my wife and I. We'll be back ASAP, we're on the hunt for a good babysitter already!
never a bad gig and never a bad seat

Bake’s is our “go-to” special date place. We try to get there at least once every other month. The menu, service and ambiance are fantastic. The events are thoughtfully curated and the music is second to none.
Great food, great live entertainment. If you miss this place it’s your loss! I’m going back!
Best patio seating in Bellevue! This place is such a gem, for atmosphere and service! I wanted a “sweet” drink, and the manager came over, listened to my likes, and had the bartender create a drink that I loved! Attentive service like that is so rare these days!
I loved that we were able to enjoy the guitar performance on the patio and then, after dinner we still could see & hear the main attraction on the stage inside! Great concept!
There was way to loud music. They had a entry charge 20$ pp which they called cover charge but that does not include food drinks which we were not even told about. I requested outside seating but they made us sit inside although there was outdoor space available. Food was very costly with no veg options. We couldn’t even talk and hear each other because it was way too loud. So overall was okaysih. Not a great experience specially when going with friends.
Any night out with live music is a special occasion. Only thing that will make me cross the pond to Bellevue is Bake’s Place or my doctor.
Service slow, burger was over cooked. Great idea on the patio- music was good.
Pricy for the place.
Manager came by after being served, he took care of the burger issue- that was very commendable.
The staff seemed liked they were all kids not really knowing what to do. Good training is needed!
Overall dining in an open-air patio was great. As a starter we ordered fries. Took a long time to arrive. Guess they were just letting them cool because they were lukewarm when arriving. We sent them back and received a hot order quickly. The burger was just OK, while the prawns were very good.
The music was very good
We went to Bake's Place for a late afternoon birthday dinner for my mom (85 years young). The weather cooperated so we sat out on the patio, under a sun umbrella, with kind and attentive staff, dry sparkling rose, family-style appetizers and dinner plates (our family likes to share plates), and rich, smooth melodies from singer/songwriter, Kristen Palmer. It was a lovely experience. Highly recommend Bake's Place.
I love Bake’s Place! Such a relaxed friendly atmosphere! Our server added to that relaxed feeling. He was friendly and cheerful, yet also very attentive to our needs and did an excellent job. Sitting out on that lovely, private patio is such a treat on a summer evening. The July 4th “all you can eat” event was a great value for $50, (included cover charge) although they did run out of ribs, We had reservations, but they were meaningless for this type of event. Fortunately, they had plenty of other things to eat. The smashed potato salad was awesome! The best part of the evening was the music. Ventura Highway Revisited is a fantastic gtoup!
We thoroughly enjoyed your 4th of July BBQ. Buffet food is not always good, but this was excellent. We hope you have this again next year for the 4th. We would love to do this again.
The event was for Independence Day. The marketing for the event said it would be an all you can eat BBQ style buffet. Unfortunately, within a few minutes, the BBQ ribs ran out with no further replenishment. Since the buffet cost was $50 per person, we were highly disappointed that it really was not as advertised. I have been to Bakes many times in the past and enjoyed the music. The music at this event was very good...but the all-you-can-eat portion was highly disappointing.
Have been to Bakes many times. Disappointed this time. Fourth of July -- buffet wasn't replenished quickly enough, so my friends and I didn't get much of the protein offerings. Same for dessert -- I never even saw it. Service was stressed to the limit, which meant no one to pick up dirty plates so we could go back to try for those ribs when they came from the kitchen. We came back to our dirty plates and no room for the new clean ones.
While I love Ventura Highway and see them whenever I can at Bakes, I was disappointed that there was no room for their drummer on stage. In my opinion that negatively affected their sound. Had one drink before dinner and 4 of us split a low-cost bottle of wine, and the check was over $90. Pretty pricey for such a casual day.
Bake's Place is a gem in downtown Bellevue. The outdoor music (this time and in past) is, and has been, excellent. The outdoor seating is framed with delicate branches that make you almost believe you are not in a downtown setting. The food choices, are eclectic and healthy yet several have spicy flavorings. That is their only downfall, for someone that doesn't like spicy. Otherwise, excellent! They provide seating at small or larger tables, as well as outdoor sofa seatings. Heaters and blankets are provided if you get cold in the cooler times. I've also been inside for seating at different visits there -- excellent also!
Loved our evening at Bake's. The food was particularly good, but the music was just want we wanted (Blues). So glad we found you! Will definitely visit again.
Bake’s Place was a wonderful surprise. We had a great time catching up on the patio, the drinks and appetizers were outstanding, the staff was friendly and the live music topped off the night. Craig and company have put something special together here. A must visit! Put it on your bucket list.
We were spoiled by staff. It was a great anniversary date night.
The place has a good ambience and the sound system is pretty good if you are there for the band. The waitress was prompt and checked in on us at regular intervals. Overall a good experience.
The kitchen seemed to be overwhelmed on a warm week day evening. One of our orders never appeared but the manager came to apologize. The table of 5 next to us had their orders appear in 3 different increments, 10 minutes apart. My pasta was exceptionally delicious and worth the wait. Thet music was great, the weather perfect and the beer cold and delicious! We will return often.
Fabulous good, amazing service and incredible music! New favorite spot!
The live music was loud but a lot of fun. Great venue. Food had some hits and some misses. Service slows down a little after music starts so order food before 9.
We are regular here. Fun and vibrant environment. Different live music bands for different audience taste. Food is always good and cocktail are great.
Bake's is such a fun, vibrant place with great food. And hats off to the Manager, Chris, for taking such good care of his customers.
The service was friendly, although after the music started it was a little slow and sometimes hard to get their attention. Overall, a great intimate venue for live music with decent food and wine/cocktails. The music volume is not too loud so that you can still have a conversation with the person you are sitting with. I really like the atmosphere and have been here several times.
We were visiting from out of town and chose Bake's Place from recommendations on the internet. We instantly appreciated the atmosphere of people, music, food and drinks. A very good vibe. The waiters were attentive and informative and even the owners were involved with keeping the evening flowing (love seeing that). The food was terrific and whiskey drinks were spot- on. We will be back.
My wife and I and another couple went to hear a Latin Jazz Band. First visit, great experience...heading back again for more music and dancing. Great value, free parking,
We had a great night, the music was de best. Good food and great service.
ALWAYS A GREAT EVENING OF MUSIC/FOOD/FRIENDSHIP AND CONVENIECE
Food was ok, service seemed understaffed.
I've been here 3 times with different friends and each time everybody has enjoyed the food and the music, without exception. It's rare to find a place that caters to all tastes, including vegetarian and gluten free. The music has been incredible and the stage backdrop is beautiful. Staff are friendly and professional, even when very busy.
Excellent service, cozy yet fun environment and delicious food!
Chosen for a special occasion, high end, friendly, fun, lively atmosphere with decent live music and spontaneous dancing and good chef quality food not just pub grub.
All were met.
Been twice before and gave both times 5 stars. Only reason for 4 stars this time was that one meal did not arrive.
I’ve been to Bakes MANY times and love it there! It is comfortable with great acoustics and generous wine pours.
The music is always top notch. You can talk before the show without shouting over the table, there is a fine patio with bar service and you can feel the vibrancy of the city.
I do not like the new menu. Everything is too fancy and exotic. They are trying too hard.
Just offer elegant classics instead of odd meats and bone marrow sauces. Thank you.
I love everything else about Bakes..except the kitchen.
