Amazing food and friendly service. But the atmosphere was unimpressive. We arrived early for our 8pm reservation, but waited over ten minutes past 8 for our table. The table was tucked into a corner in the "overflow section" with glaring bright lights. It lacked the cozy low light mood of the main restaurant area. It was a loud space with dull decor compared to the rich wood look of the main area, made all the more obvious by the bright white lights. We will go back to Baker Street but we will also try to avoid the overflow room.
Excellent service. Food was terrific. Great night out with friends. Highly recommend for just about any occasion.
Very delicious meal and great service.
Service was terrific, ambiance excellent, food tasteless.. would not recommend..
Our meal was delicious and professionally served. Dishes were cooked exactly to order. Amanda and Liz were attentive to our needs and wonderful in their service. We live in Boston and always make it a point to dine at Baker Street when we are in Fort Wayne.
Always our favorite!!! Meals are always fantastic! Service always the best!
Very good restaurant and the service was outstanding!
Somewhat expensive but delicious food and cocktails.
staff was friendly, but the prices were way too high for the quality.
our meal plus tip was $165; it should have been $75 with tip.
prime rib was ok, but cold and the mushrooms were like they'd been sitting out and just tossed on top.
however, the creamed corn and mushroom soup were awesome - the best part of the meal.
if you're ok with paying a high price for a mid range meal ... go for it.
We came to celebrate my birthday. Our server was still training but did a wonderful job! She described the featured items well and sold me on the prime rib! So good!
It had been several years since my last visit to Baker Street. I am sorry I didn’t make a return visit sooner. The waitress was outstanding. I had a wonderful cocktail with gin an aperol as 2 of the ingredients. The cream of mushroom soup was very good and the walleye was delicious. I hope I have the opportunity to return sooner than several years?
Excellent service and food as always. BakerStreet is out "go to" destination for all special occasions and some just regular dinners. Prime rib is to die for. Wait staff is incredible.
Awesome service. Wonderful food. We had a great time.
The French Soup had to much of a garlic taste, over powering.
Salmon was good.
Prime Rib was fair, again, to much spices, let the meat flavor talk.
Clint was an outstanding waiter!!! My husband liked the New Orleans Steak which used to be on the menu. Clint researched the dish and kitchen would make it. Both of our meals were outstanding. Thanks to Clint for doing such a great job!!! Great experience with great food!!!
We had never been to Baker Street and took a chance based on their online menu. It was less formal than we expected however the food did not disappoint! our server Gabriel was amazing he used our names throughout the meal and was on top of all special requests. As far as the attire you could be formal or jeans and nice shirt and fit in fine. Being local owned was a bonus for us. We will definitely be returning!
We had never ben to Baker Street before, but wanted to go somewhere we had heard was special for our 25th wedding anniversary. We made reservations and arrived on time and waited approx 5 minutes for our table. Our table was a small round table in the middle of the room straight in from the door on the west end that was heavily trafficed. Service was awesome, Food was good. My wife orered the Walleye and the sides it came with were not what she was expecting and she didn't eat them. The server and manager both went out of there way to offer an exchange and we declined, by that point I was nearly finished and she had eaten all of the fish. The manager discounted her portion of the check, which we told him was not neccessary. We don't go out to eat much and this menu was foreign to us so we weren't sure what to expect. That is not the restaurants fault, just simply us being niave as to what was being offered. Our only issue was with the seating location and the noise level. I had noted on the reservation it was our anniversary in hopes for a table off the beaten path so to speak and we were seated in the middle. The noise level was rather loud as well, carrying a conversation and hearing the soft poken young lady that served us was difficult.
We always have a great experience at Bakers Street. Food was delicious and the waitress was helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!
My food which was prime rib was great. But my wife’s crab cakes was not gokd
Oysters & Bread bowl crab dip are always excellent. The new blackened shrimp on polenta cakes were outstanding. Hope they give these a permanent place on the menu! Also loved the filet medallions on blue cheese risotto & rosemary prime rib!
Never a mistake to come here. Excellent service and food all around.
It was one of the most amazing meals ever. Jordan is a great server.
Consistently the best dining experience in Fort Wayne. Can't recommend highly enough!
The food was EXCELLENT! I highly recommend the smoked salmon dip. The variety of dishes and the excellent execution of everything we had to eat made this a great experience. Our waitress was very personable but I did think things were a little slow at times. Everything we ate was superb. If you’re looking for great food, I’d highly recommend Baker Street for any occasion.
We ate outside and had the patio to ourselves, it was a great date night!
Though we usually share a seafood dinner, we chose instead to have prime rib. It was like butter, well trimmed, and absolutely delicious! Outstanding!
Totally enjoyed our dining experience!
Service: Waitress had to be asked for the specials, water refills, etc. that should've been standard operating procedure.
Food: The appetizer was the best part of the meal, but it wasn't great. The side salads for the dinner left a lot to be desired. There was only one choice for dressing and it was supposed to be some sort of vinaigrette that tasted a lot like ranch dressing. My date had the Orange Chicken for an entree, which turned out to be too spicy for either of us to eat. This spiciness was not reflected in the menu and it's normally not a problem for me (I love spicy food) and I thought this dish was way too strong. The waitress said that the dish varied every time the kitchen made it. For the kind of money charged by this restaurant, I would expect better consistency in food preparation. My entree was the filet mignon. It was very tender but over-seasoned to the point that I couldn't even taste the beef. The rest of the food was a bit bland - perhaps the seasoning on the steak overpowered the sides..?
Overall: I'd place this restaurant between Apple Bee's and Outback as far as food quality and I think the prices are about 50% too high for the quality of service/food delivered. There are better options out there if I want to spend $100 on a meal.
First time diner; good menu variety, nice decor, excellent service, and tasty dishes.
Baker Street is always a smash hit with my husband and I. The Appetizer special of the day was pork belly on wonderful cornbread with the maple syrup that was lightly infused with jalapeño… I could’ve just eating it for dinner.
As usual the food was fantastic and they had our favorite wine, Dr L Reisling.
As usual out visit was amazing. Called the chef a couple days in advance and requested beef wellington for dinner. They were very accommodating to the request and it was amazing! Highly recommended!!! Love Baker Street!!
Again, excellent food, service, and a fair price for it. When we mentioned that the prime rib that we had received seemed more cooked than the medium that we had ordered, they quickly agreed and, even though we had eaten half, replaced them with correctly cooked entrées. Plus, a free (delicious) dessert of our choice to celebrate our anniversary.
We went to BakerStreet to celebrate a birthday on Monday, which is typically a very busy night because of Martini Monday. We sat in the bar and it was crowded and noisy but didn't detract from our meal. The kitchen was also a little slow because of the large groups but we weren't in a hurry so it was still fine. Our server did a great job and was helpful with the food and drink choices. The food was excellent, as well. Always a solid choice.
Our meal was fantastic as always. Our server, Clint is Phenomenal! He had extensive knowledge of everything on the menu. He asked all of us what our names were and refered to us by name for the entire evening. He did this for everyone in the room. My steak was done perfectly.
Absolutely very nice place. Clean. Food was perfect. Great environment.
We loved everything about this restaurant and had great service!
Have been here a few time, but the steak I had tonight had to be the best piece of beef I've ever eaten. I had 2 different cocktail martinis, both were excellent, so flavorful. My steak (8oz filet mignon) just absolutely melted in my mouth. Every bite from start to finish was soooo delicious. And although we were full, we wanted dessert. They let us order a half serving of bananas foster, love that dessert.
We have dined at Baker street several times and it is rapidly becoming one of our favorite places for a late afternoon lunch/early dinner. We took special friends with us this last time and they were extremely pleased with everything. This was great as they are hard to please! Don't miss the tuna tartare - it is fabulous.
