Extremely disappointing! Came on memorial weekend. Made reservations based on a couple years back experience! Nothing, absolutely nothing alike! Item from appetizers were out- fish dry, no condiments, asked for lemon, they didn’t have any….new york strip was rare and chewy- we asked for medium. Zero stars.

We were celebrating our anniversary. Put a note on our reservation and they put rose petals in a heart on the table. We also had a great corner table with a lovely view of the lake. We ordered prime rib (medium rare) and the hamburger (medium). The prime rib came and it was well done and cold. They took it back and have prepared another. The new one was still overcooked to medium well, almost well done, and it didn't taste very good. Only ate a few bites. The hamburger was well done and dry and not very flavorful. For the price, the food was disappointing. Our server Joshua was really great though. Very nice and did a great job.

$44 NY strip tasted like something you’d order at Outback or Applebees, not a fine restaurant. Multiple items not available from menu that is very limited anyway, was brought food that was different than what was ordered, service was slow, average dinner that took 2 hours.

Most expensive brunch I have ever been to! Sat in a side room, not main rooms that the place is known for. Many of the chafing dishes were empty and went back 3 times hoping food would be replaced. Not a full buffet at all - and basically ended up having eggs and sausage. Bacon was empty. The quality of the food was deeply disappointing. The buffet was $68.00 per person AND, they automatically charge you a 20% tip on your bill!!!!!! We will never go there for Mothers day brunch again.

We visited for Mother’s Day brunch. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, I would suggest visiting even to experience the ambience. They were serving a buffet when we visited, the food was great quality and well prepared but hot dishes were more lukewarm. Stephen, our server, was attentive even with how busy the place was he made sure we were well taken care of and had a good sense of humor. We would definitely go back again!

As always the view from the patio is spectacular. The number of menu options and the quality of the food, however, has declined rather dramatically. There were 4 appetizers on the menu and two of them were not available. The prime rib special was incredibly fatty while the grain bowl was interesting, but the portion size of the smoked salmon add on was disappointing. All told, I fear that the excellent competition on each side of the lake will eliminate the Baker House from our go to list this season.

We came for restaurant week and they kind of acted like that was a bother. They said we weren’t allowed to order off the regular menu for one person and the restaurant week menu for another… which was fine, but they were crabby about it. The bartender clearly was inexperienced and didn’t know what she was doing. The server never refilled our water or asked if we wanted another drink with dinner. The setting was beautiful and the food was very good (probably the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had), but we would not return due to the inattentive/slow service.

Absolutely fabulous! The food was amazing, flavorful and fresh. The amount of time we were granted to enjoy a long meal with starters and dessert was just right, nice leisurely luxury evening. One of our best meals ever. Memorable especially because our children were welcomed and engaged (ages 6 and 10) as well as my mother (age 78) was comfortable in a space without excess noise. The music and servers were gracious and charming. Perfect place for a gourmet meal for all generations. We will be back.

Hello! Our server was delightful. She was attentive to our needs and made sure we were taken care of during our brunch. Everything on the buffet was very good. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the special order eggs benedict. It seemed to not have much flavor and the sauce was very thin. I realize they are made in bulk, so it is not ideal for every item. We just did not personally eat very much, so I'm not sure the value was there for us. But overall it was a beautiful place on a wonderful day and we enjoyed our time there. Thank you.

The food was just okay. Fortunately the place and the view makes up for it. For the food selection, I didn't think it was worth the $65 per person. Maybe $40 per person would have made more sense.

The restaurant was very nice, we sat on the huge porch with a window seat. We watched the sunset while we dined. Great cocktails. The cheese plate was very nice as a starter. We had a wonderful dinner, the chowder was so good and the scallops were cooked perfectly. Our waitress was very friendly and was always anticipating our needs. First, our server Mark was a gem! The ambiance is wonderfully eclectic with many rooms to choose from, while jazz classics played on solo guitar seemed the perfect fit. We have been desperately searching for something to fill the void left when Medusa closed. This is the closest so far. A beautiful view of the lake, divine food. We’ll be back, thank you Mark!

My husband and I have visited Baker House for their brunch yearly and finally decided to bring our little one and teen daughter. Many items have been removed from the menu and those that remained tasted very mediocre. Wait staff was overwhelmed by the few tables and were quick to hand us our check. Sad to say but will not be returning.

What a gem! The atmosphere is fantastic, the food was amazing and live music was intimate and just so very nice! We started with the Artisian Cheese board and the fig jam was out of this world. The Clam Chowder was thick and had a huge helping of clams. I would highly recommend the Steak Frites! This was a spur of the moment reservation that I am surely placing on my "must go back" list!

Baker House was really quite charming! The house was so beautiful, the tea selection was good, and generally, the person who served us was good! The best parts were definitely the house tour, along with the fun hats you got to wear during tea. The downside to our visit is that we had a few people in our group with dietary restrictions, and even though we called a bit ahead to ask if they could accommodate and they said they’d take care of it, the day of they seemed rather unprepared. We had a gluten free person and a diabetic. They had gluten free bread, but they had to defrost it for awhile so it took much longer for the gluten free snacks to come out. They really didn’t have much prepped for the diabetic either. They did pull together a plate of salmon and cucumbers, but for the price it was a little disappointing. HOWEVER, we could have also been at fault for this because we called the day before, we didn’t tell them right away that we were the group that had the dietary restrictions, and they did still give us food in the end (and it was tasty!). Therefore, maybe they could’ve had better communication on their end, but we also could have! Take this as you will, as it was still really fun for all of us!
