Baja Miguel's - South Point Casino
Baja Miguel's is one of our favorite dining spots!! Brian was our server and he always makes our dining experience excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant!
We eat at your restaurant every time we come to Vegas and is usually excellent. This time you were not up to par. We had the chicken fajita . The pan was so hot it burned the bottom layer of chicken. The vegetables were anemic looking and the guacamole was tasteless. Beer was good.
Loved everything. Would highly recommend. Had my birthday dinner there.
Our OpenTable reservation worked great as they had a booth reserved for us.
Entree portions were more than enough and the food was very good.
I like a bit of heat in sauces and I asked for their "hot" sauce and the roasted hot sauce they brought me had some good heat to it.
My wife loved the combo fajitas and my chimichanga was good as well....it could have been a bit more deep fried to give it a bit more "crunch"....other than that everything was fine.
I was very dissappointed in the food, we had been there before and it was good thats why went back, but for the price of the food the taste was not good at all. Will never be back again.
Carnitas was way overcooked and husband sent it back.
I would have given Baja a 5 star recommendation except our food all came out at different times. It was very noisy but it was busy. The hostess was very charming and gave us good service. Our waiter kept apologizing for the delays. The food was excellent. Prices are reasonable but not economy for assure.
Nice place to go and the staff was great. Food needed more seasoning but still worthwhile.
First let me start by saying all of the staff we encountered were exceptional. They were all very attentive, kind and seemed in good moods laughing with each other, etc. HOWEVER, the food was awful. This is the first time I’ve had to say that about a Mexican restaurant, as I love Mexican food! My boyfriend had eaten here several times in years past and said it was pretty good. I’m not sure if there’s a new chef or what, but I was having to force my food down. My boyfriend ordered a beef burrito or something similar and also said his wasn’t good (which is pretty hard to get wrong in my opinion). I ordered whichever one on the menu is a seafood combo burrito (shrimp, crab and lobster) that’s supposed to have a creamy white sauce. First of all it was NOT a creamy white sauce. It was a little green and most of the top of it was just a bunch of melted shredded cheese. I’ve had that meal at many Mexican restaurants and it’s usually pretty standard. Tried to move beyond the sauce though but the inside was also awful. I’ve never been able to say I ate lobster, crab and shrimp that were all awful. I figured I’d just eat that part but again, I had to force a few bites down. That meal was fairly expensive too so we were both really disappointed and will unfortunately not be returning.
Annual Super Bowl Party at South Point Hotel & Casino always includes a dinner at Baja Miguels.
Miguel's was a very good dining out experience. Great service.
I has shrimp tacos, soggy, gross tortilla so i just ate the filing. Over salted, very bland. Apparently they’re not into food having any flavor.
We always visit Baja Miguel's when we are at South Point (once a year). Always use Open Table to make a reservation, even when we know they won't be full. Always get a good table.
This visit it seemed to be REALLY noisy and it was a bit difficult to have a conversation. But we should have taken the "big room" into consideration.
Always great food!
The service was excellent. The food was most disappointing this time.
We eat there a lot. Our waiter, Carlos, and his crew took excellent care of us from start to finish.
I am quite finicky about Mexican food. Baja Miguel's exceeded all of my expectations. I had the tortilla soup, which was wonderful. The chips and 3 dips were awesome. I also had a skinny margarita. Perfect! I liked the staff and the decor. I am already plotting my return visit to try a bigger meal. Highly recommend!
New Years Eve, food was very bland and I believe that everything was pre-prepared. Margaritas were absolutely the worst tasting, ordered Cadillac and it was pitiful. I would have been ashamed to serve that in a Mexican restaurant. Won’t be going back. Also, waitress hovered.
Love the food. Wait staff are very friendly and efficient. We eat here every time we are in Vegas.
Ordered the Halibut Vera Cruz and it was delicious! The chips and dip trio start to the dining experience was great, very tasty, not too spicy. We ordered peach margaritas and they were smooth and sweet, not overpowering. The waitress was wonderful and attentive. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The only reason I did not give it a 5 was the air conditioning that was constantly streaming cold air down on us at the booth we were sitting in made it uncomfortable and we were too cold to stay for desert. Overall, a great evening dining experience, priced under $75 for two meals and drinks.
Food is a bit overpriced for how much it costs. Also it is not very authentic.
It was very busy on Christmas Day but our waiter did an excellent job and the food was great. It did take a little time getting our pitcher of margaritas but overall we had a great experience for our Christmas dinner.
We had Christmas Lunch here a few years ago and REALLY loved it - so glad that the Restaurant is still around and basically everything was the same. The service, the food, the value, the drinks - ALL excellent. Thank you for being open on Christmas Day and taking care of travelling tourists. Kind regards, Tomlinson Family of Melbourne, Australia
Very good meal. A little pricey but excellent food. It was a little noisy due to the rodeo week. But would recommend it to anyone else that likes Mexican food.
Good Mexican fare, large menu, large portions, reasonable prices, good service. Very much like your neighborhood Mexican restaurant, but located inside the South Point casino.
I was amazed when they brought a basket of warm chips, along with hot bean dip, salsa and guacamole. It was delicious! Both Servers were polite and attentive and the food was very good. I would definitely go back!
The service was good. We tipped a full amount for them. The Thanksgiving turkey meal was not very good. We would have had a better meal at the buffet.
Good service and value
The service is WONDERFUL. From the hosts and managers to the wait staff.... truly terrific and our favorite Mexican food in Vegas!
Quacamole dip along with salsa and bean dip for chips? That’s just the beginning... Great food!
Baja Miguel’s is convenient and consistently food with a huge menu of dining options. There are always value added specials available. Portions are very generous and you won’t leave hungry but will probably take some home.
The food was great. The ceviche appetizer was excellent. The beef tacos al carbon were good too.
Good, fast service and good prices for food in a casino. Food itself was good and well-presented.
Nothing really wrong with this place but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again. Just average
Start out with wonderful warm crisp chips with three types of dips. I had the Carne Asada Tampiquena, broiled skirt steak with grilled onions and a cheese enchilada. That also comes with beans and rice and soup. A fulling and very tasty meal. This is one of my go-to places at South Point any time I'm in town.
Arrived early and enjoyed a happy hour margarita in their bar area then dinner. Complimentary chips served with salsa, guacamole and a wonderful bean dip arrived quickly . My shrimp tacos served with rice and beans were delicious and my husband enjoyed his steak fajitas. Nothing exotic on menu but excellent Mexican food with quick, friendly service
Extremely average Mexican fare. Absolutely nothing special about anything on the menu. Which is why it is NOT a good value. I'd expect my bill to be almost $25/person (without drinks) at a better Mexican place but considering Baja's is really just one step above Taco Bell I wasn't too thrilled about the cost.
I mean, it's not that the food or the service was bad. It's just that I could have gotten the same thing at Taco Bell for less than half the cost.
A great place for lunch. The have an awesome lunch specials during the day.
We have also gone there before a show with groups. They are very accommodating.
Good food and drink. Meal came timely and hot. Drinks came quickly. Service was great and the orders were done perfectly!
Food was outstanding and very well priced. They give very generous portions of food for the price. Definitely would recommend
Great food at a reasonable price. The Seafood salad is highly recommend. The vegetarian fajita provides two additional meals.
