Bailey Restaurant and Bar
Pairing elegance with comfort, this friendly environment is the ideal place to relax.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Nice waitstaff, good bar crowd, loud in the front ask for a table in the back. Had a nice cheeseburger, boneless wings.
Relaxing ambience. Attentive and informative waiters. Good service. Reasonable choice on menu. Good quality straightforward food. An enjoyable and pleasant lunch. Would return to this restaurant.
They never mention anything about the birthday celebrations
I would recommend it for 2 people but sit in the bar area. The noise level in back was intolerable. We were trying to conduct a business lunch with 3 people and could barely hear. Food was quite good, I had the mango salad special. Service was acceptable but waiter did not remember who had what. Timely delivery of food. Good location.
Attended for a business luncheon. Food and service were both very good. We were pressed for time and the server ensured that our food was delivered swiftly.
Great Food....great staff. Could not have been more pleased, overall fantastic place to eat especially for breakfast.
The salmon was excellent. Also, the waiter was very friendly.
I work across the street from this restaurant and finally gave it a try for lunch, and would certainly return. It's not cheap, thus not a daily lunch destination.
The best part was the service - accommodating and friendly.
We had the bailey burger (or whatever it's called) and it was good, but they forgot the onion jam, so be sure you get that, as it's good. Also had the chicken Milanese, which is nicely pounded/thin.
Convenient casual bar and sit down bite. Professional group of guys at the host stand.
Hosts were bumbling, and service was mediocre--as if we were somehow bothering the waitress by existing--but this all makes sense given how horrible the food was. Charcuterie plate had meat so dry I thought it was just a sliced up Slim Jim, and cheese very clearly from the local crappy supermarket. The pot pie? Sloppy vegetables with a bun--a literal bun of bread--slapped on top. Shepard's Pie? Hamburger helper. Think sloppy joe, but with dried up mashed potatoes nuked to oblivion on top. And all of this for the low low price of entirely too much. This place only survives because of its location.
Both my wife, Kat & I absolutely enjoyed our meal and service at the Bailey!!!
I treated my wife, Kat and myself for dinner at Bailey on Sunday, May 19th, 2019 to celebrate our Happy Five Year Relationship Anniversary!!!
We found our meals to be superbly delicious and we both tip our hat to the service provided by our waiter, Halit!!!
We recommend all of our family and friends to dine at Bailey!!!
There are a lot of eating choices in the Financial District but not a lot of options for a sit down that are reasonably priced, have good food and a tolerable level of noise. Bailey stands out as one that is a good choice for a one on one meeting.
Service and food was great and atmosphere was even better
As usual, the food & service were excellent. I do miss the giant picture of Samuel Beckett though.
Really cool space in Fidi. Great service. Food was a solid 7/10.
Being one of three people in the entire restaurant at 11am for brunch. You would think the home fries would have been served hot. The toast wasn’t at all toasty or brown.
Usual NYC Friday night bar crowd. Food was average. We really went there to see the entertainment.
Great spot for lunch. We popped in whilst doing the sights downtown and the service was quick and friendly and the food was great quality! Would definitely recommend.
food was fine -- at restaurant for a meeting. wish there were more vegetarian choices. saying no to reco because most of my friends are veggies. otherwise great for meat eaters. :)
Traditional Wall Street bar with great food, fast and efficient service.
Met up with old friends and was able to enjoy the company and the meal. Wait staff attentive yet not bothersome. Food was very good and a good deal.
We ordered a "bread basket with an assortment of jams and jellies" and received a basket with 4 slices of toasted bread (2 types) and four pats of cold butter. The "jams and jellies" did not come with the basket and we had to ask specifically for them. What we received was 4 individually packed Smuckers jams (grape and blackberry sugar free variety). Apart from that one type of bread tasted like actual garbage to the point that we all couldnt swallow it. It tasted like it had gone bad weeks ago. We had to send it back, luckily they took it off the bill.
Someone in our party is vegetarian and requested vegetables with her eggs rather than bacon/sausage and received one half tomato, slightly roasted. That was their vegetable offering. The rest of the food was decent, nothing to write home about, and nothing I'd want to pay this kind of money for again.
Once again, a delight!
I have had and heartily recommend: the onion soup, the burrata&prosciutto, the Mac and cheese skillet, the Chicken Milanese, the burger, and the sautéed salmon.
I have seen people turned away without a reservation so don’t risk it!
Food was good for the price, cocktails were great, service was average. All in all, good for 6 pm on a Saturday.
The best thing about this restaurant is the location and the manager, my nephew, Matty Grimsey!!
Had a Lightky Seared Tuna salad that was out of this world.
Definately Sushi grade.
Friendly, courteous, attentive, clean and comfortable.
Great place for after work drinks and converrstion.
Food was really good and service was top notch! They were so helpful and attentive we are definitely returning
Pleasantly quiet on a Sunday evening in the rear of the restaurant. Burgers were good Caesar salad was skimpy. Waiter was not sufficiently attentive - never offered water refill.
Food was awesome! Definitely going back. Steps from the 2&3 subway station
Amazing decor, ambiance, and food. If you're looking for an amazing pub with great burgers and great scenery then this is your spot. They have happy hour until 6 and then all night drink specials. Definitely a nice after work spot or even great for date night. The noise level isn't bad at all. I can still hear myself talk if that means anything. Lol.
All in all, great food, service, and attention to detail. Must try.
This is my go to spot for this neighborhood!! Historically I have been I huge fan of the burger with onion jam, bacon and cheddar! So. Good. Alas, a person needs more than a burger eventually, I’m happy to report the rest of the menu doesn’t disappoint. The Salmon with Mushrooms and Spinach, the French Onion Soup, and the Mac and cheese are all superb.
I have seen people turned away without a reservation, don’t risk it.
Food was ok, but service was slow as anything. We ordered drinks and it took 15 minutes to get the drinks back to the table. Overall the ambiance was great, but dimmed by the service.
Great place for a good Burger
Waited at host stand for like 10 min
Very inattentive staff - no checking in/no water or coffee refills
Food was lukewarm to cold
Two couples grabbing a dinner together in what felt like a hangout for youngish Wall Street folk. Had a swell salmon. Everyone thought it was a good choice.
Friendly staff, tasty food, nice atmosphere. I would go back. It was not exceptional but definitely good and fun. No complaints.
The food was delicious and the drinks went down very easy. Service was fast and attentive.
