Salmon is my favorite food so I get it most times I go to a seafood restaurant and the salmon at Baia was THE BEST salmon I’ve ever had!! Highly recommend
We were told that there was no available patio seating yet they opened both decks and pulled all staff to cover the outside seating. This led to poor , slow and almost obsolete service for us . We watched parties being served their meals prior to us even though they were seated well after us. We never had our water glasses filled or offered another glass of wine with dinner. Food was pricey for what you got. Calamari was very breaded and small portion.
Everything was fabulous for our evening. We had a large party and I know they can be a little annoying but our server, Matt, was patient and fun.
The food was excellent with big portions and atleast half of us brought food home.
The bread with the dipping sauce started us off great as we waited for everyone.
The appetizers were excellent with really nice size portion. The calamari was fun with the 3 different sauces.
We even had to split the salad due to its size.
All 9 of us enjoyed our entrees. I had the sea bass with pistachio coating and it was excellent that night and even the next day for lunch.
I was a little nervous because we had a wheelchair and I stopped by to make sure there wouldn't be any problems wheeling right to the table. The restaurant wasn't open when I stopped by the owner or manager kindly opened the door to see how he could help me. Assured me everything would be fine with the wheelchair and he was right. I was also nervous using open table because you can only put 8 people in. I added special instructions about the 9th person and the wheelchair and it turned out great.
Can't wait to bring the boat by for some drinks and apps on the deck!
Excellent staff with fabulous food!
We are local but we haven’t been in a while. Went Saturday night and sat on the lower deck. We were close to the Band so it was a little loud. But we were ok with that. I’m was quieter on the upper deck and even quieter inside. Food was very good but it took over an hour to come out our. I think it was just a fluke we would go back. Great outdoor dining spot
We had a reservation at 8:15 pm. Drinks and appetizers came it fairly quickly. THEN WE WAITED AN HOUR AND A HALF TO BE SERVED OUR MEAL!
When we asked about the delay, we were told the kitchen was SLAMMED. All the tables around us were empty! They took the cost of the apps off our bill, but overall it was a bad experience. And the food was average.
We had a delicious dinner for Father’s Day! Great menu choices & specials plus good selection of specialty cocktails, beer & wine by the glass.our service was exceptional and had live music outside on the deck with heat lamps! Definitely would recommend & go back!!
We arrived at the reception desk five minutes before our reservation time. Gave my name and immediately heard the hostess say to the waitress, "I don't care that they have a reservation, we're too busy to seat them now, they'll have to wait." (In an unpleasant voice to match) I thought reservations were just for that, to not have to wait with the people who just walk in. And yes a few couples walked in ahead of us to be seated immediately who hadn't a reservation. We were asked if the lower deck was ok instead of the covered top deck and we said, "yes, that's fine". Our waitress was nice but the hostess made us feel unwanted and this is a business that apparently doesn't need mine.

Everything about the place was fantastic except the band was so loud that I wasn’t able to hear the person right across from me.
Super tasty food. Great wine prices. All enjoyed their meals. We will return!

Delicious food but waited almost 40 minutes both times I visited for appetizers.

First time there and we will definitely go back. Server was friendly and attentive and everything was delicious. Live music provided great atmosphere.
I visited with a big group this past weekend. I made reservations to ensure we would be seated. When we arrived we were told that the only table they had was on the patio which was covered by an awning and we would have heat lamps to stay warm since it was cold and rainy. Parts of the patio area were completely open and the cold wet air was pouring in. I asked to be moved to an indoor section and was told it would be a 45 minute wait because all of the tables were full or reserved for a party so I agreed to stay. A few mins later the heat lamp turned off. Even with a coat I was cold and uncomfortable. I went to the front and requested a manager. I was told that the lamp would be turned back on but I waited for the manager to suggest that patrons are made aware of being seated outside when they book reservations. I was told multiple times that the heat lamp was restored and I was pressured to return to my seat without having had the opportunity to talk to a manager. Finally I was completely exasperated and returned only to find the heat lamp was still off. Someone in my party said the staff had stopped by the table to say that the lamp wouldn’t be turned back on due to the band playing/people dancing and the lamp was a hazard. Let me point out that we had also been seated directly in front of the live music and conversation was nearly impossible. A few minutes later someone came over and agreed to move us inside. When we got in we were seated in a section with multiple large tables and the entire area was empty. It seems to me that they had a section unused that they were choosing not to open and we were pushed outside as a result. The temperature inside was more comfortable and the noise level allowed for conversation. I am grateful they agreed to relocate us but I was offended that they lied about not having another table available and waited until I was visibly upset to address it. I am also upset that they made it impossible to provide my feedback to a manager.
Food not as good as I remember having a few years ago.
Love Baia for the beautiful view of the Bay - unfortunately it was a rainy evening. We sat on the porch no matter and had a lovely dinner. The band started up half way through dinner and I was sorry we were so early - would have liked to listen to them a little longer!
Since the days of the original owner this billion dollar property has always had a wonderful ambiance to want to come back to. It’s nice to see that on Sunday evenings they still have a live raeggae band. Now for the food, I started off with the New England clam chowder the clams were too large and tough, there was not a bit of bacon in the soup, and finally was not hot but lightly warm. I do not get in the habit of sending back food as I was there to enjoy an evening with family. I think the waitress was surprised when I told her I was finished my soup. Actually I got the soup to warm up as the restaurant was cold. My dinner was linguini with shrimp. Again not warm. Although it was a holiday weekend the restaurant was far from full. Later I found out the owner owned 2 other restaurants one near me in Edgemont Square Shopping Center which closed in one year, and the other in Malvern let’s see how long this one lasts. I guess Jay Lamont’s place might need a new restaurnteer as this will go under the sea.
Had a reservation,however, we were told it would be a 45 minute wait to eat outside. After being seated we were given only menus and it took a trip to the front desk, after 25 minutes of just sitting, to get a waiter. Then the waitress was very apathetic and seemed to not want to help us, saying "I was sent here to serve you" what do you want. Then we waited another long bit for our app and drinks. We were then asked what else we wanted, said we needed time, didn't come back for another 25 minutes and never checked on us or the food. So, for over an hour of being in a restaurant we received awful service, sub par food, and no explanation. We will never be back to this restaurant and will tell others the same. It's a shame since we have a shore house about 10 minutes away.
Pick a different restaurant!!! It was completely disappointing. We had a reservation and they seated us on time. That was the best part of our meal. It took a while for them to take our drink order (but it was Memorial Day Weekend so that was sort of expected). The waiter said "we have a full bar and can make any drink you want." We asked for the Basil Martini they always had on the menu and he said, "sorry, we can't make that!" We placed our order and waited almost an hour for our food. After 45 minutes, they brought out the bread for the table but we still didn't have napkins or silverware (we asked for them several times). When the food finally arrived, 6 out of the 8 meals were either wrong or cold. Most were cold. The only meal that came out correctly was my niece's. She ordered a salad. Mine was wrong. I decided to eat it because I was hungry.
All of the meals came with potatoes and all were cold, not lukewarm but cold. My wife and brother's fish was cold, not lukewarm but cold. My brother ate his but the manager came out and offered to fix my wife's. My wife ordered 2 veggies instead of potatoes, that didn't happen. My daughter ordered the Pasta Bolognese and I think they added a cup of salt to it. It was almost not edible. The manager removed 2 meals off of the bill but I don't feel that compensated us correctly. This was our second "Bad" meal there. This restaurant is now off of the list!!!
Took 90 minutes to get our dinner. Taste was great but not worth the wait. They compensated with free salads. Frustrated.
Only reason they stay in business is the view. Food is just OK. Employees seem very unhappy and it shows in the service.
Food quality has slipped. Menu does not accurately reflect the dish and server was uncertain. He did provide good service but not knowledgeable.
We have been to this restaurant several times over the last few years. Service started out well but went downhill from there. The shrimp appetizer was very good however our main dishes, pasta bolognese and veal parmesana were very below average. You would expect a $25 entree to be exceptional especially a pasta dish. When we complained and the server saw the almost full plates when we said we were finished. The server did say he was sorry and then disappeared without contact for 20 minutes. We expected the manager to at least come to say something, but we didn’t see him/her. When the server returned he just brought us the full bill. Our daughter and son in law went the next night, had a reservation and was set inside in the back corner. They waited 25 minutes before they had to go back to hostess table to complain that they hadn’t been waited on. The server came abruptly without apology and took their order. They ate the appetizer and asked for the check as other tables we also sitting waiting... do not eat at this establishment as we feel they take advantage of the seasonal crowd.
We had a very nice Mother’s Day dinner here. The lobster ravioli was to die for. Service was good and waitress was super friendly.
We had a great meal. I had yellow tail tuna and my wife had salmon. Waitress was very accomadating. Food took some time to come to the table, but the view made up for the wait.
My party had great meals and enjoyed the outside seating giving a wonderful view of the bay. It has some very creative Italian dishes and our waitress was very accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant. make sure you get outside seating.
We were quite excited to visit Baia. After all a nice restaurant on the bay, terrace seating etc.
We were in fact promptly seated but unfortunately not out on the terraced deck.
The clam chowder was so-so. The caeser salad was drenched in dressing. Then we were informed that the kitchen was extremely backed up even though the restaurant was barely 1/3 full.
So my wife and decided to take in the beautiful outdoor views and walk along the exterior deck.
We were barely outside for 5 minutes when we returned to our table only to find that it had been totally cleared of our drinks, my eyeglasses and totally reset for another party.
After asking the wait staff what happened to our table, the manager arrived and apologized.
Finally after another 20 minutes our entrees arrived. Both the sea bass and the grouper, although nicely presented, were extremely oversalted.
Again management apologized and offered to remove the charges.
The ambiance is wonderful but all else does not pass the litmus test. Sorry we will not be returning.
We had 7:00 pm reservations. We finally got seated at 7:40. The excuse was they did not have enough menus. We offered for the hostess to seat us without menus and we would have a cocktail. At 8:00 the waiter asked us if we would like something to drink. We ordered cocktails and left the restaurant (without being served our drink) at 8:20. We did call the manager over and she told us there was nothing she could do as they were not supposed to be open.
Consequently we will never go back
Very pleasant server named Lamar. Helpful and great service. Calamari appetizer was great. One of our entrees was wrong, the person delivering food to the table seemed shocked that we wanted what we ordered. It took about 10minutes...but it was delicious. Great cocktail menu. Love the seafood selection and then pick your sauces. Tuna was too blackened with heavy heavy seasoning and was overcooked. Dont advertise sushi grade on the menu if you are cooking it well done. Will go back.
We have been wanting to go to this restaurant and it was definitely worth it. Fun, beautiful view of the water, service was excellent for dinner not so much at their tiki bar due to one bartender and 30 people at bar. We ordered food at Tiki and it never came also. It was happy hour and I guess they were not expecting the crowd since it was beautiful and middle of September it was a Friday night. Will go back the restaurant closes for the winter though.
Table of 6, 4 seniors (2 on walkers). Placed in farthest corner of restaurant. Server took drink and food orders and never saw her again. Someone else brought the food (it was good). Drinks never refilled. Plates sat empty for 30 minutes before we went for manager to get bill. Manager didn't say a word. Not busy. Just poor service. We use Open Table ALOT. First time we wouldn't return to a restaurant.

Must have been an off day for the chef and server didn't handle the feedback well. The chicken was cold and fish seemed entry level. Used to look forward to coming here. Going to give this place a break for a good while.
Staff was very attentive, food was spectacular. The menu had something for everyone. I would give more stars if available.
Our waiter, Everett was wonderful. He was friendly and made the experience fun. Food was better than we remembered from last year and even though it was raining the outside seating was great. The only suggestion for the restaurant is to make sure that diners have utensils before bringing out food. We didn't and also noticed table next to us asked for them too when their food came.
