We were seated immediately (a table of 4) because of the reservation. The restaurant was loud so our server had a hard time hearing us when we ordered. Our server was very nice but seemed overwhelmed. Our food also took an hour to come out to us and our appetizers took about 20-30 minutes and then another 30 minutes for our actual dinner. I did not expect to be at the restaurant as long as we were. However, the food was good when it did come out but just took way too long.
Lunch special were delicious and very reasonably priced!
Great attentive server!
It took an hour and ten minutes to get our food. We ordered fairly quickly and there were only 4 of us. The table in front of us got there after and left before. We were seated immediately. We got there at 6:15 but did not leave until 8:20. The other issue was the light above our table had about an inch of dust all the way up the cord it was hanging from. Dust would randomly fall onto the table, sometimes into our food. We told our waitress and thought she would send a manager over but that never happened. For $150 dinner, I would have thought a manager would have come to apologize.
Great time at Bahama Breeze. We were a party of 9. Service was amazing, Food was excellent. Love the ambience too.
Our waitress, Emily, was great. She knows exactly what to say, how and when to make the most of our experience. Food quality good. Value is fine. We'll go back.
Good but the server should have known that I didnt like my salad that I paid another 3$ for it was at the end of the table not even touched.
Very good happy hour prices. Disappointed in myself and BB. WENT SPECIFICALLY TO USE $10 gift card. Didn’t thoroughly read fine print. Not applicable to happy hour food
I'm a vegetarian so there weren't a lot of options for me. What I did get was quite good and my husband enjoyed his meal as well. With so many good restaurants in the Pittsburgh area, I'll probably try several of those out before returning to Bahama Breeze.
Love taking the family here for a quick island food fix
When there are coupons it would be nice if the waiters would let you know about them.
The amount of time between order and receiving our food was extremely long. Our waitress apologized multiple times for the wait.
The food was average, I had a steak with crabmeat. I would say that the steak tasted OK, but it was cooked more than the medium I had asked for and it was tough. The crabmeat was nothing special, not “premium” as they advertised. The crabmeat was no different that canned crabmeat that I make nachos with at home. Honestly, the best part of my meal was the salad.
We haven’t been to Bahama Breeze in a while. It was OK for a dinner with friends but I’m not in a big hurry to go back. I was disappointed that they didn’t have the one man band playing island and reggae music in the dining room as they had in the past. They did have entertainment on the front deck but it was too hot for us to sit outside.
I placed a reservation and requested a half-booth half-table due to the limitations of one of the guests in my party. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was greeted by the host asking if there were two people in my party. I stated there were four and we had a reservation. I reminded them of my request for a half-booth half-table and let them know I would be happy to wait for one to be available as I was early for my reservation by several minutes. The host let me know there weren't any available, so I said we could wait. A second host joined us at the host stand and tried to take us back to a booth. I reminded him of my specific request and the first host said there still weren't any available. After dealing with two confused hosts, I resigned to letting them seat us in a booth, although it made our other guest uncomfortable.
The food was delicious. Our server Lorenzo frequently visited the table asking if we needed anything else and making sure we were pleased with our meal and drinks. He refilled drinks before they were close to empty and I was never looking around searching for him. He brought our check quickly and didn't rush us to leave. Lorenzo was such a personable server! I would recommend him to anyone.
While leaving, I wanted to get a picture at the front with the bird. A third host, Tia, offered to take our picture with the bird, so none of my party had to take it and thus be out of the picture. She took four or five pictures, so I could pick the one I liked best. She was so friendly!
I would recommend Bahama Breeze to others even in light of the confusion about my reservation.
Everything was excellent. From the service to the food. Love eating outside around the fire pit. Booking our reservations was so simple and easy. Would do it over again in a heart beat.
Food took awhile to come out and service was not up to standards of
Lovely outdoor eating
I enjoyed the ambiance. Food was good. Really appreciated being able to make a reservation for two peopld
It was wonderful, celebrating 40 year anniversary. Service good and food was amazing as well as the drinks were great. Sat outside and enjoyed the music on the deck.
We were celebrating my wife's birthday. It was a good restaurant. The food was good, and our waitress was nice and attentive giving great advice about items on the menu. I was a little disappointed that even with a reservation, we still had to wait for a table. I recognize that it is a holiday weekend, but we arrived early and waiting in the car until our reservation time and still had to wait for a table.
Got sat quickly upon arrival. Server was a little slow getting to us so we ordered drinks and food upon first meeting our waitress. She seemed a little confused or new to the menu? Food took about 35min with only one stop from the waitress. Once we got our food, which was good, we didn’t see our waitress for about 20min after our meals were finished and were waiting for refills, dipping sauce, and napkins. After waitress picked our tab to pay. She came back in less than 2minutes with the receipts. Service could of been better. Wel try again though. Food was good and we live close by
Food was great but service was awful, made worse by this being a milestone birthday celebration. Fortunately we had been there previously and normally enjoy the restaurant. This experience was an outlier, but had this been my first time, I wouldn’t be going back. Hoping they redeem themselves the next time.
My husband and I love going to Bahama Breeze. When we went the other night for dinner we wanted to have dinner outside to enjoy the sunset. My dinner reservation stated that I wanted outdoor seating. I also told the hostess we’d like to sit outside. We were okay with waiting. Nope she said no seating was available and forced us to follow the waiter to our indoor seats. She was awfully rude and it seemed they just wanted to get people in and out without making their experience a nice one. We came to find out there was evenings music outside that we would have enjoyed and missed out on. Probably won’t be back since this was such a bad experience.
Needs more lighting over tables for older people this is a big dederrent to revisit even when food delicious.
Food quality has gone way downhill. Not worth the money. Whole family disappointed.
We are frequent dinners at Bahama Breeze, and love it. The food, drinks and service are excellent. Our server Donna, was the best. Thank you Bahama Breeze and Donna.
We enjoyed a mix of Happy hour appetizers and drinks
The waitress was very young and not very pleasant. No silverware, started to take the appetizer away before we were finished and she seemed miserable after we asked for water. This is one of our favorite restaurants....so we were a little disappointed. It also was extremely loud. Large parties were put next to the three of us. Food was great!
The only issue we had was it seemed to take a very long time to get our food in spite of the fact we were there well before it got crowded (11:30). Other than that everything was great.
The food is great. Enjoy going there. Wish I could go more often.
The Robinson location accommodated our very large party with ease! Our server was both friendly and skilled. We will definitely go back!
Great atmosphere, great service and great food.
This was my first visit to this restaurant. The service was excellent. The seafood chowder was delicious. I also ordered the skirt steak. It was slightly under seasoned for my taste, but I respect that a dish should be under seasoned as opposed to over seasoned, so I added some flavor to it. The classic margarita was on special for $5 and I tried the house beer, both delicious. I will definitely return.
This is my favorite restaurant! Amazing food and even better drinks!
Had the crusted salmon which didn’t seem too crusted (seem to recall previous meals where it was run under the broiler) and previous mashed sweet potatoes had more flavor and a dried plantain/banana for decoration.
Great service and food! Coctails were awesome too..
Food and service were great. So happy we used open table to make our reservations. Other customers had an hour wait when they came in without reservations.
We had a wonderful Mother's Day meal here. We had a reservation and they seated us immediately even though it was very busy. Food and drinks were both delish and our waitress was very nice.
High quality food: Jerk shrimp well balanced spice/heat/sweet/savory; salmon cooked just right; oxtail a little salty (I have eaten it many times in many places, so I know this version was a bit salty).
Took a little longer than usual for the entrees to arrive but it was Mother's Day.
Our server was top notch helpful - exemplary (handled questions, added clarity, managed refills, pleasant and present without being artificially or unnaturally so.
The original dish I wanted was not on the menu (was unaware till I ordered it) but for good reason - there shipment of some of the ingredients (mango) was not quality enough to serve the dish. I can respect that commitment to quality.
Overall, authentic Caribbean-USA fusion. The flavors are there. Maybe one day they will add an ackee & saltfish dish, or some bammy or breadfruit dishes
Prices are going up.
Food quality going down.
Way too loud with lousy music!
