We had the French kiss roll Awful Crab and cream cheese The edamame was good as was the crunchy roll. Happy hour pricing was good.
First time at Bagu. Place is small, but cozy. It was a full house on Sat evening. Food was excellent. Best sushi rolls and sashimi cuts were huge compared to other sushi places. We would definitely come back. The Poke Ahi was delicious and my favorite roll was the Shinjuku.
Always love Bagu!!!
Food and service exceptional as always! Only downside (no fault of the restaurant) was the extremely loud group of young men at another table - could barely converse above the volume of their conversation.
Always great food. Love the place.
First time at Bagu and it was excellent. Best calamari in town.
We were there for Valentines, wine 20.00 a bottle and complimentary dessert.
Quaint setting that you can actually have a conversation without shouting at each other.
Will definitely return again.
Awesome food and service. We mentioned we had to movie to catch after and our waitress made sure to get our food out as quickly as possible. We had sushi and the dragon noodles which was amazing!! We will definitely be back.
We had a great experience at Bagu Sushi and Thai! It was our first time there and we will definitely be back. Great food and great service!
Don’t miss the Hamachi Kama, salmon skin salad
The food was excellent. It took a long time to get it.
I would highly recommend Bagu Sushi and Thai.
We ❤️❤️❤️ Bagu! Always great sushi
House Ramen noodle dish superb! Thai Spicy Beef Dish delicious! Cold Saki warming on a cold night!
Excellent and friendly service and great food. We will definitely return
Food was excellent and wait staff was wonderful. It’s a rather small place and noise bounces a lot but I would definitely go back.
It’s always a pleasure to be a guest. The food is outstanding. Thank you for your consistency in all areas.
I recommend Bagu if you're in the area, but it wouldn't be a destination restaurant.
I was really impressed with this place. It is a little neighborhood restaurant with great food. Our waitress was awesome, I had seen other complaints with the service, but we certainly didn’t experience that. We started with a spicy tuna roll as an appetizer and then we both decided on a Thai dishes since it was a chilly night. They were delicious. If I did it over again, I would have them spice up the dish a bit for me. It was very flavorful, but could have used a bit of heat. Definitely would recommend.
I can't believe it took me this long to find a place like this! Relaxed, quiet, amazing sushi, and cute ambiance. The only negative I have to say is that it was pretty chilly in the restaurant, but it was a very cold night anyway! We had happy hour sushi and beer and let me tell you, they were so wonderful. Usually with happy hour, places skimp on things, but not Bagu! We were 100% please with the quality and portions. Highly recommend going there for some good prices and delicious food. We didn't order anything except sushi and beer, so I can't comment on the other dishes there.
As usual this is our go to Sushi & Thai place, although we have to commute 20 miles to get there. But it's worth it. The only concern was the Tuna Tataki was sliced a little bit thicker then normal and we prefer it sliced thin. The cream cheese puffs, which are my favorite were as usual "perfect". You can't go wrong with any of there vast selection of rolls. It can get a little bit busy so I encourage you to make reservations.
Service was fast and the food was great!!!
Great food and excellent staff! We felt very welcome and our service was beyond expectations. Will definitely come again and I recommend the boat noodles!
Always great sushi, it's the only place we go now for sushi. We never have tried the Thai food but it looks and smells wonderful
It was cold inside and the service was very slow. The food we ordered was good.
Great food and our server was knowledgeable and polite. The decor/ambience could use a little facelift. Overall will come again!
Excellent range of choices, really quality food, flavors were all awesome, and the shop is small and fun. We will be returning.
Shhhh. Don't tell anyone about this neighborhood gem! Great food and outdoor patio during the summer make for a nice combination.
Spur of the moment we and another couple decided to dine at Bagu. Food was tasty and the service was very good.
It seemed hectic- and getting there early mean sun in our eyes. The space felt crowded and not as clean as I’d like. I.e., tables not cleaned between diners promptly. The food was terrific, though. Parking is hard.
Great happy hour Sunday-Thursday. Sit on the patio if you can.
Bagu is our go to place for a great meal. However, as tasty as the food is, the consistency of the entre' can really vary from visit to visit. Plus I feel the portion sizes have shrunk over the past year. All in all, I recommend this cozy restaurant in South Minnie!
Always a pleasurable experience. Love to eat our favorite sushi and Thai dishes outside.
Terrible service. We waited a long time to give our order. She brought my dish a full 15-20 minute before my husbands. We had to remind her we were still waiting. No apology or compensation.
Service was slow (in their defense someone must have called off cuz the was only 1 waitress) but the food was amazing!!! It's a hole in the wall kinda place so you don't go there for the ambience.
Excellent food. Slow service.
Outstanding food and service
I really like this space. It’s intimate without being stuffy. The few times I’ve been there it’s always been busy, so that in turn means a little longer wait time for your food. But it’s worth the wait. It’s always been delicious. They have always been out of smoked salmon when I’m there, but I’m not too picky. So that’s not a deal breaker either. Overall, I’ll always go back. It’s close to home and haven’t had a horrible experience yet. :)
We had sushi, and it was fantastic! It is a small space and we were seated very close to other parties and because it was so busy the noise level was loud. If you’re looking for an intimate experience this may not be the best spot. My friends and I loved it however and had a great night there.
We used a Groupon, but this place was SO affordable even without a discount. Also, the Saki was not overpriced, either. It's a nice little neighborhood gem. We stuck to Japanese and didn't order any of the Thai dishes so I can't speak to that. The food was amazing, and so was our server. She was really good at offering suggestions, and highlighted things that are more unique to their menu such as the JBB
(fresh salmon, cream cheese and green onions, deep-fried tempura style) which was amazing! They also have specials, but they must be really popular because everything we wanted was sold out. However, this was a Sunday night, so I'm sure the chances are better at being able to order them during the week, or earlier in the weekend, especially seafood. The waitress did warn us that it can be VERY busy there on Saturdays, so to book a reservation in advance (i.e. the place is very small). I'm sure there will be more seating available in the near future as she also informed us that they have outside seating in the summer. We will definitely be back!
Great sushi! Always consistent and a solid value compared to most. Great happy hour!
Our 100% go-to destination for healthy and authentic Thai food. You cannot miss with the portion sizes and value of their meals. Highly recommended.
